“Kansas Planned Parenthood Sues to Stop Law Saying Abortion Destroys Human Life
by Kathy Ostrowski | Topeka, KS | LifeNews.com | 6/28/13

In the space of two days late last week, two lawsuits were filed against Kansas’ 2013 Pro-Life Protections Act, HB 2253.

Due to go into effect July 1st, the comprehensive Pro-Life Protections Act restricts tax funding for abortion businesses, bans sex-selective abortions, and codifies ‘Woman’s Right to Know’ informed consent information prepared by the state health department since 1997.

As reported in the Kansas City Star on Thursday, Comprehensive Health of Planned Parenthood of Kansas and Mid-Missouri Inc. and its medical director, physician Orrin Moore, filed suit in federal court (My use of bold—my addition). They contend that section 14 of the Act compels them to approve of the government’s view of abortion, by which they mean the health information presented in the Woman’s Right to Know materials.

But a fair reading of abortion case law, especially the U.S. Supreme Court’s 1992 Casey ruling, absolutely supports the right of states to provide medically accurate materials relevant to the abortion decision.

The lawsuits target three items in HB 2253:

*the information about Pain capability of the unborn child at 22 weeks gestation (LMP) which is part of the state law passed in 2011;

*the statement that ‘abortion terminates the life of a whole, separate, unique living being‘, (which the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals specifically upheld in June 2008); and

*the requirement that every abortion clinic website include a tagline with its hyperlink to the states Right to Know information page.

The following day came the announcement that HB 2253 in its entirety is being challenged in state court by the Center for Woman’s Health, abortionists Herbert Hodes, and his daughter, Traci Nauser. This is the same clinic that initiated the ongoing lawsuit against the Kansas abortion clinic licensing law of 2011.

Everything but the kitchen sink has been thrown into this filing, including the bogus assertion that free speech rights were being violated (the Supreme Court denied that assertion in Casey and in other related rulings). Abortionists are free to denounce the information the government requires them to provide. And they do!

As an example, the Capitol Journal article cited the example of a Kansas City, Kansas, clinic whose informed consent materials currently states:

“WE MUST UNTRUTHFULLY TELL YOU (KSA 65-6709(b)(5)) – ‘The abortion will terminate the life of a whole, separate, unique, living human being.’ This is untruthful because the fetus is quite dependent upon, not separate from, the maternal placental oxygen and nutrient acquisition and kidney’s waste disposal. The word ‘whole’ implies ‘complete’ but the fetus is not truly completed until birth. Also, cancer is unique, human and living, yet not deserving of life (Are they seriously implying that an unborn baby is similar to cancer and therefore is also not deserving of life? What arrogant LIARS! However, this is what baby MURDERERS do! They LIE!—my addition).”

The lawsuit also seeks to overturn a provision of the law requiring abortion clinic websites to provide a link to a Kansas Department of Health and Environment page with accurate information about abortion and fetal development.

With clinics whose website information equates an unborn child with cancer, it’s no wonder they don’t want their own website’s link to state materials (something they have provided for years) to now additionally include the label that state materials are medically accurate.

LifeNews.com Note: Kathy Ostrowski is the legislative director for Kansans for Life, a statewide pro-life group.

It is time for pro-life groups and State governmental officials, that support pro-life positions, to take the initiative on these issues.

Why are baby MURDERERS suing over issues that have already been decided by courts? It is a delaying tactic. They know that they can find some leftist lower court federal judge to issue a “temporary” injunction to delay the application of the law. They also know, that even if they lose in the lower federal court, they will be able to appeal the case. Thus, it will be several years before the law is applied if ever. Change the executive branch at the State level and they may decide to drop the case even though winning as Obama did with the Defense of Marriage Act and as the State of California did with its Proposition 8 constitutional amendment. Plus, these 2 to 3 levels of courts cost the State more money to defend the laws passed legally and properly by the people elected State legislature.

The States going along with this is nonsense, unnecessary, and a violation of the Constitution of the United States! As I’ve been saying for several years, all court cases in which a State is involved MUST begin in the United States Supreme Court! They are to NEVER begin in a federal district court.

Article III, Section 2, 2:

Article III.

Section. 1.
The judicial Power of the United States shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such inferior Courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish. The Judges, both of the supreme and inferior Courts, shall hold their Offices during good Behaviour, and shall, at stated Times, receive for their Services a Compensation, which shall not be diminished during their Continuance in Office.

Section. 2.
The judicial Power shall extend to all Cases, in Law and Equity, arising under this Constitution, the Laws of the United States, and Treaties made, or which shall be made, under their Authority;—to all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls;to all Cases of admiralty and maritime Jurisdiction;to Controversies to which the United States shall be a Party;to Controversies between two or more States;between a State and Citizens of another State, between Citizens of different States, between Citizens of the same State claiming Lands under Grants of different States, and between a State, or the Citizens thereof, and foreign States, Citizens or Subjects.

In all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, and those in which a State shall be Party, the supreme Court shall have original Jurisdiction (My use of bold—my addition). In all the other Cases before mentioned, the supreme Court shall have appellate Jurisdiction, both as to Law and Fact, with such Exceptions, and under such Regulations as the Congress shall make.

What does the Constitution require:

1) The constitutional procedure MUST happen in ALL cases.

2) The State MUST be a party in the case, which obviously is the situation when a State law is being challenged.

3) The case MUST begin in the U.S. Supreme Courtthat is what original jurisdiction means.

So, why aren’t the federal courts following the Constitution of the United States as written? What aren’t the States demanding that all cases where they are a party begin in the Supreme Court as required by the Constitution? Why are they not upholding their oath of office? Doing so will save the State both time and money! Doing so is what the Constitution requires! If the groups in California who replaced the State government had no standing, then without question, the district federal court has no judicial standing in ANY CASE where the State is a party to the case. That is the direct requirement within the Constitution!

We MUST demand and require that the States follow the Constitution as written and required! We MUST demand and require that the federal courts follow the Constitution as written and required!

“New Web Site ‘Is This Your Voice’ Backs Texas’ Late-Term Abortion Ban

by Cassy Fiano | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com | 6/27/13

Imagine that someone who was completely uninformed on abortion turned on the news and saw coverage of the Texas pro-life omnibus bill, Senate Bill 5 (SB5). He’d likely come away with the idea that extremists were trying to force an anti-woman bill onto Texans, who overwhelmingly opposed itand that Texas Senator Wendy Davis, who led a 10-hour filibuster against the billwas a hero standing up for women everywhere. This is the picture painted in the abortion-friendly media. But is it an accurate portrayal?

Davis’s filibuster ended minutes before the voting session expired, when it was ruled that she had gone off-topic. Rather than letting the state senators vote on the bill, hundreds of abortion activists who were present, led by Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards, began shouting down the legislators and successfully obstructed the voting process until those final few minutes ticked by. Pro-aborts are cheering this as a victory over anti-choice extremists.

Online for Life has put out a call to action for the pro-life community, called Is This Your Voice? Pro-lifers are being asked to stand up and speak out against the abortion lobby and its cronies. The truth is, it’s the pro-abortion mob that smacks of extremismnot the pro-lifers supporting SB5.

Were the voices of Texans represented in the shouting and screaming of the abortion lobby’s bullies? No, Texans support banning abortion after 20 weeks. And it has been long established that the majority of Americans overall are against late-term abortions as well. The extremists are the ones fighting to keep abortion available, on demand, up until the moment a woman gives birth.

What about patient safety? SB5 would require abortion clinics to follow the same health and safety regulations that other ambulatory surgical centers are held to. These include requiring admitting privileges at a local hospital and that doctors personally administer medicated abortions. It also would require, for some clinics, building renovations and equipment upgrades. Basically, abortion clinics would be held to the same standards as other surgical centers, which would make abortion safer for women (something pro-aborts claim to care about). The mob doesn’t dispute this, but rather is more concerned that clinics may close. Would they prefer that women continue getting abortions at a clinic that is substandard and can’t meet these basic regulations (Yes, they are in the MURDER business and MURDER can not stop for any reason!my addition)?

Is this your voice (NEVER!my addition)?

It is obvious that the extremists are the ones fighting this bill, which contains commonsense regulations for abortion clinics, and a ban on late-term abortions that both Texans and Americans overwhelmingly favor. The extremists are the ones who led a mob-like attack on the democratic process, rather than let legislators do the job they were elected to do. It is time for pro-lifers to speak up and fight back. Sign the petition,

“Governor Rick Perry: We Will Beat the Pro-Abortion Mob, Ban Abortions
by Steven Ertelt | Dallas, TX | LifeNews.com | 6/27/13

Governor Rick Perry gave a rousing speech to the National Right to Life convention today and urged pro-life activists to continue pressing members of the Texas legislature to ban abortions at 20 weeks of pregnancy.

Perry responded to the mob that shouted down members of the state Senate, who came a few minutes short of passing a bill that would ban late-term abortions and hold abortion clinics accountable for violating the health and safety of women.

‘Even if they lose at the ballot box and come up short with stalling tactics, they will resort to mob tactics to force their agenda,’ he said. He added: ‘the louder they scream, the more we know that we are getting something done.’

He said what the state witnessed Tuesday was nothing more than the hijacking of the democratic process and told pro-lifers to match their intensity but in a respectful and dignified manner.

The pro-life issue is too important and discussed his call for another special session to pass the 20-week abortion ban, saying, ‘I am bringing lawmakers back to Austin to finish their business,’ he said. ‘I put pro-life measures at the top of that list.’

Nearly 80,000 unborn children are lost to abortion each year in Texas. ‘It breaks my heart,’ he said. ‘Abortion is a human rights issue and is a scar on our national conscience.’

‘We will ban abortions after 20 weeks. It makes sense because so many children are born prematurely,’ the governor added.

Perry also talked about the abortion facility regulations in the bill.

‘Any patient should have the expectation that any facilities being used for a medical procedure’ should be up to standards, he said. ‘It is entirely their call’ if abortion facilities would rather close than operate under health and safety laws. We are under no obligation to make things easier for the abortionists. The ideal world is a world without abortion.’

‘There are better options than to stop the beating heart of an unborn child,’ he said.

Perry noted how pro-abortion legislator Wendy Davis rose from being a daughter of a single mother to go to Harvard and become an elected official. ‘Just unfortunate she hasn’t learned from her own example,’ he said.

The governor said stopping abortion is a ‘just cause and a way to remember the 55 million who have been robbed of life.’

“New Poll Shows Americans Support Banning Abortions After 20 Weeks

by Steven Ertelt | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com | 6/27/13

The House of Representatives recently approved a bill that bans abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy. Although President Obama and Senate Democrats are opposed to the measure, a new national poll reveals Americans support it.

From the National Journal:

‘Americans favor such a bill by 48 percent to 44 percent.

Support was greatest among Republicans, 59 percent in support, but 53 percent of Americans not affiliated with either major party sided with the GOP. A majority of Democrats, 59 percent, were opposed while only 33 percent were in favor.’

‘But the poll, notably, showed that women supported such a measure in greater numbers than men (50 percent of women in favor; 46 percent of men).’

‘Overall, the survey suggests that the 20-week abortion measure fractures some of the modern Democratic coalition. Among all age groups, it was young Americanswho have regularly sided with Democratic priorities in the age of Obamawho most strongly supported the measure (52 percent). The measure also received the support of 51 percent of white women, both those who are college educated and those who are not.’

‘The abortion measure received plurality support across all income levels and even fared well in the suburbsa key battleground for social issues and electionsreceiving 49 percent support, with 41 percent opposed.’

‘The measure split along racial lines, with white Americans in favor (50 percent to 43 percent) and nonwhites opposed (49 percent against to 43 in favor).’

‘In the poll, arguments for and against the measure were presented to Americans.’

‘Survey respondents were told that the legislation included exceptions in cases of rape and incest that were reported to authorities. They were also told supporters say the bill was necessary because a fetus can feel pain at that point in pregnancy and that opponents say the measure undermines abortion rights granted by the Supreme Court in 1973.’

‘The survey of 1,005 adults was conducted by Princeton Survey Research Associates International from June 20 to 23, via both landlines and cell phones. It has a margin of error of 3.6 percentage points.’

The bill, if it receives a vote in the Democrat-controlled Senate, is not expected to pass and pro-abortion President Barack Obama has issued a veto threat. But pro-life groups hope to use the measure as an election tool in 2014 in an attempt to wrest the Senate from abortion advocates.

A recent national poll by The Polling Company found that, after being informed that there is scientific evidence that unborn children are capable of feeling pain at least by 20 weeks, 64% would support a law banning abortion after 20 weeks, unless the mother’s life was in danger. Only 30% said they would oppose such a law.”

From: Illinois Democrat Senator Dick DurbinAssistant Majority Leader of the Senate

“Dear Donald

The Republican War on Women (The ONLY Party waging a war on women is the Democratic Party! Half a million plus unborn baby girls MURDERED ever year!my addition) met its Alamo in Austin, TX, on Tuesday when state Senator Wendy Davis stood her ground for nearly 13 hours.

At issue was a proposed Texas law which would have severely limited a woman’s right to choose (Choose what?my addition). Wendy Davis was determined to stop this bill by running out the legislative clock. And she made history when she refused to back down.

Wendy stood up for the rights of women in Texas and across the country (“Rightto MURDER their own child?my addition) and now we all need to stand with her.”

“Just last week Tea Party Republicans in the U.S. House also tried to attack women across America with their bizarre biological theories (You mean that life begins at conception? Dick, I learned that at an Illinois high school in freshman biology!my addition) and self-righteous posturing. We know we haven’t heard the end of this non-stop Republican effort to turn back the clock on the rights of American women (NO woman has the right to MURDER their own baby! Dick ought to pay attention to Catholic teachings! He is Catholic, supposedly! By the way, at one time Dick claimed to be pro-life!my addition) .

But when state Senator Wendy Davis of Fort Worth, TX, started her filibuster at 11:18 a.m. on Tuesday, women across America were given a voice (Seriously!? To MURDER or not to MURDER!my addition).

Do you want to be counted as standing at Wendy’s side (NO! NO! NO! On the side of MURDERING unborn babies? NEVER! NEVER! NEVER!my addition)?”

“For nearly 13 hours, Wendy told the stories of women struggling with poverty and poor health care. As she spoke, Republican senators sat nearby waiting to pounce if she faltered under the strict filibuster rules.

No food or water. No bathroom breaks. No sitting down. No leaning. No talking off topic (Which she did!my addition).

Senator Wendy Davis, a former single teenage mom and Harvard Law grad, took them on. As the day wore on she stood and paced in her pink sneakers. She recounted her own struggle with poverty, and she told story after story of women whose lives would be changed forever by the proposed legislation.

Finally, 15 minutes before midnight, the presiding officer ruled that she had violated state senate rulesbut the chaos (Democrat created chaos!my addition) on the floor made it impossible to finish the vote before the stroke of midnight.

Wendy prevailed, for now. But the Tea Party and right-wing extremists (If you dont know this from reading my posts, I am a Tea Party member and Im sure Senator Durbin would consider me a right-wing extremist! And yet he keeps sending me e-mails!my addition) will not quit.

And neither will we (AND NEITHER WILL WE!my addition).”

“Thanks for joining me in standing with Wendy!

Sincerely,

Dick Durbin
U.S. Senator”

From: Lila Rose at www.liveaction.org

“Dear friend,

On Tuesday, a pro-abortion mob flooded the Texas Capitol to ensure that Planned Parenthood can continue to literally tear babies to pieces in the womb, or to kill them with a lethal injection in their heads and hearts.

Don’t doubt for a second that the baby feels all of thisor that Planned Parenthood kills these children for tremendous profit.

After a ten-hour filibuster by State Senator Wendy Davis, elected officials in Texas tried to vote on a bill to protect pain-capable infants in the wombbut the screaming mob, encouraged by Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards, drowned out the vote until midnight, when the legislative session had to close.

Remember: State Senator Davis was fighting legislation that would save 20-week-old babies and older from excruciating death by dismemberment and poison. That is what is being praised by pro-abortion leaders and media outlets across the country.

Live Action has firsthand knowledge of Planned Parenthood’s long and gruesome record in Texas. We have investigative footage from Texas exposing Planned Parenthood's eagerness to facilitate late-term sex-selective abortions – specifically because the baby is a girl!

http://www.liveaction.org/gendercide/texas/

Watch our shocking video from Austin and see how Planned Parenthood will do anything for abortion moneyeven target late-term baby girls, old enough to survive outside the womb.

This is the same Planned Parenthood that is against any and all regulations on abortion, including protections against babies born from a failed abortion.

http://www.liveaction.org/inhuman/fl-planned-parenthood/

Planned Parenthood’s vision for America means abortion on demand, for whoever wants it, and funded by you.

Texas Governor Rick Perry decided not to allow a mob to threaten the lives of children endangered by late-term abortions. He has called a new special legislative session so that Texas’s representatives can do the work their constituents hired them to do.

Pro-abortion bullies want abortionists to be allowed to rip apart pain-capable children in the womb, or kill them with poison injections through their heads or hearts. They will do anything to maintain this gruesome status quo. But these are unique human beings, and no amount of yelling and screaming can ever be enough to deny them the right to live.

Screaming for the ‘right’ to dismember babies twenty weeks and older in utero. For the ‘right’ to poison them to death.

Senator Davis? Planned Parenthood? You have no shame. You have no compassion.

Americans oppose late-term abortion by huge margins. In a state already reeling from the news of abortionist Douglas Karpen’s Gosnell-like ‘House of Horrors

http://www.liveaction.org/inhuman/gosnell-is-not-alone-douglas-karpen-houston-tx/

in Houston, it’s essential that the people’s will be carried out, and that we defend our children.

As Live Action has documented, there are horrors going on even in Texas’s capital, where the special session on safeguarding Texas’s children will take place. I thank Governor Perry for combating human rights abuses in his state.

Texas is not a state where the most basic and fundamental human rightthe right to lifecan be shouted down. America is not that kind of nation. Let’s pray that Texas stands strong to protect these children from the violence of abortion!

Yours in the fight for life,

Democrat Party Mob Rule in the Texas Senate; Governor Calls for a Second Special Session

         Right Banner 5

I sent the following e-mail to Governor Rick Perry this morning. He has already called another session to begin July 1. Senate Bill 5 should pass in this session. Encourage that result!

Contact e-mail to Texas Governor Rick Perry:

http://governor.state.tx.us/contact/assistance.aspx

I moved to Texas earlier this month. I am a strong pro-life proponent who writes three daily blogs (Sundays excluded) one of which deals specifically with pro-life issues.

Given that the will of the people of the State of Texas was obstructed last night by a small but vocal minority, I urge you to call yet another special session to have the legislature complete the process of protecting women and saving the lives of unborn babies.

Furthermore, once S.B. 5 is passed and challenged in federal court by the advocates of the murder of unborn children, I implore that you, as the Governor of the sovereign State of Texas, and the Texas Attorney General demand that the Constitution of the United States be obeyed as written. Specifically, that said case begins in the Supreme Court as specifically required by the Constitution.

Article III, Section 2, 2

“In all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, and those in which a State shall be Party, the supreme Court shall have original Jurisdiction. In all the other Cases before mentioned, the supreme Court shall have appellate Jurisdiction, both as to Law and Fact, with such Exceptions, and under such Regulations as the Congress shall make.”

The specific relevant section:

In all Casesin which a State shall be Party, the supreme Court shall have original Jurisdiction.”

The States must demand that the Constitution be followed as written or the States are no more than provinces of a national system not envisioned by the authors of the Constitution. One reason why I decided to move to Texas is that I believe that Texas has both the will and the ability to stand up to an out-of-control federal government.

Thank you for your consideration of this e-mail.

May GOD bless the sovereign State of Texas and a righteous federal government.

Don L. Vance

‘Girl Scouts Why Not,’ which documents the connections between the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) and Planned Parenthood.

While the Girl Scouts claims to not take a position on abortion, on May 9, 2013, MAKERS, a feminist, pro-abortion video of women whose ‘pioneering contributions’ have apparently changed America, was screened as a Girl Scout-sponsored event.

Rochelle sent her thoughts on the MAKERS documentary and the involvement from the Girl Scouts to Mary Hasson, who wrote a rather informative and encompassing piece

http://www.lifenews.com/2013/06/05/girl-scouts-usa-pushes-video-honoring-pro-abortion-activists/

for LifeNews.com.

The Girl Scouts can no longer hide behind a neutrality stance when it actually sponsors such a screening and encourages participation. Hasson’s article sums up the connection very well in describing the event. In fact, the event and MAKERS were geared specifically to the Girl Scouts, from the Girl Scouts of Greater New York’s logo, a shout-out from the moderator to those Girl Scouts in the audience, and the college-aged panelist who was a former Girl Scout. Hasson mentions how the connection goes further, though:

‘In fact, the producer of the documentary explained during the panel discussion that they chose an online platform for MAKERS because ‘We knew we wanted to reach an audience like Girl Scouts’ and girls are online more than anywhere else. Far from being a local event of one council, the MAKERS event garnered support from the Girl Scouts USA. The national group promoted the New York event on Twitter, inviting young Girl Scouts to ‘join’ the live event or to watch it online later. And the MAKERS Facebook page included a photo after the event of the grinning producer surrounded by a group of Girl Scouts.’

Also mentioned in the piece is that a panel discussion also featured pro-abortion feminists Marlo Thomas and Amy Richards. Thomas has been on MSNBC ‘to talk about the role of Roe v. Wade and reproductive rights in the greater feminist movement.’ Richards is the co-founder of Third Wave Foundation, a pro-abortion group; an adviser to Planned Parenthood NYC; and a member of the MAKERS Board of Advisers.

For an organization that claims to take no stance on certain issues, the Girl Scouts seems to put an awful lot of support and promotion behind those who not only promote abortion, but criticize pro-lifers, including Phyllis Schlafly and Caroline Graglia. The Girl Scouts USA website links to the promoters of the video series and showcases it not only through the blog, but also through Twitter and Facebook. (If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, looks like a duck, its probably a duck my addition)

The rest of Hasson’s article goes into a helpful description of those pro-abortion advocates involved in the MAKERS video series.

Rochelle also provided more information, however. Commonsense Media, though it gives the documentary a positive review, including a high review for ‘positive messages’ and ‘positive role models,’ does have a warning to parents:

‘Parents need to know that Makers: Women Who Make America discusses potentially sensitive issues like abortion, birth control pills, domestic violence, and rape as they relate to the women’s movement beginning in the 1950s through today. Most of these topics are talked about, not visualized, though there are a handful of blurred images one of a women who died after an illegal abortion and another of an image of a naked woman. There is also some discussion of how the lesbian movement fit in (and diverged from) the mainstream feminist movement. Teens mature enough to handle these topics will find an inspirational story told by strong, smart, impressive women. Younger kids might be able to watch clips on key topics on the show’s website.’

Also provided is a statement from Rochelle’s daughter, Madelyn, a former Girl Scout:

‘I’m very disturbed that Girl Scouts is promoting this pro-abortion project to girls girls who are even younger than me! How can Girl Scouts continue to say they do not take a position on abortion and yet promote the MAKERS documentary, which clearly undermines the pro-life movement with an aggressive abortion-rights message? Girl Scouts continues to create controversy through pro-abortion events and relationships like MAKERS that contradict the pro-life position. And all along Girl Scouts are still being hosted and endorsed in our churches. It’s time to warn families I hope our pastors will step up and protect girls (And ALL Christians! my addition).’

Madelyn has a point. For those pro-lifers who have been unaware and involved in the Girl Scouts, certainly hearing of such connections cannot be easy. As the Girl Scouts continues to involve itself in such controversies, it is becoming increasingly difficult to remain ignorant and stay silent. Be it our pastors, those formerly involved in the Girl Scouts, or concerned pro-lifers, we must continue to highlight these controversies to truly ‘warn families’ and protect girls.

“Sending a Tex Message on Life

Everything’s bigger in Texasincluding the state’s abortion restrictions. If leaders can beat the clock before their legislative session expires, there’s a strong chance that Governor Rick Perry (R) will have the opportunity to sign off on one of the strongest pro-life laws in America. A sleep-deprived Texas House worked through the night, putting in a grueling 15 hours of debate until Republicans finally closed the amendment process and forced a vote on a measure that would outlaw abortions at the five-month mark, when babies feel pain.

Plenty of Texans came to watch the all-nighter, including a gallery so full that people spilled into the stairs and hallways. Just before 4 a.m., the ones who lasted the night finally witnessed what everyone had been waiting for: overwhelming consensus to ban abortions after 20 weeks. After such an emotional back-and-forth, protestors erupted. Security escorted several people out, while the remaining audience cheered. By an overwhelming 97-33 vote, the House gave its preliminary approval to a bill (much like the one the U.S. House passed last week) that would spare children the torture of abortion and ensure that women receive the safest care possible.

As part of SB 5, abortion clinics would also have to meet the certifications of surgical centers, meaning that most of the state’s 42 abortion facilities would have to undergo expensive renovations (which, if they truly cared about women, already would have been made [Very TRUE!my addition]). Only doctorsnot clinic workerswould be allowed to administer abortion drugs, monitor the patient’s progress, and schedule at least one follow-up appointment.

For added safety, every doctor who performs abortions would have to have admitting privileges to a local hospital, which, as experts point out, is extremely rare for abortionists. Some hospitals object on religious grounds. Others try to avoid the political headache by refusing to grant those privileges altogetheran obstacle that state abortion clinics will have a tough time overcoming. Planned Parenthood estimated that all but five of the state’s clinics would shut down (Great! Lets shut down the last five too!my addition), which was met with some suspicion by pro-lifers who think the organization is just fear-mongering. Still, the impact would be enormous if the Texas Senate can race to approve the bill in the waning hours of the session.

House Democrats did everything they could to stall the proposal, which, under Texas law, must be approved a full 24 hours before it goes to the Senate. Around ten o’clock this morning, the state House voted the measure through for a second time, giving state senators until midnight on Tuesday to send it to the Governor’s desk. And while Senate Democrats can stage a filibuster, Governor Perry is prepared to call the chambers back into session if they don't hold a vote. ‘Unless I’m misreading him,’ said Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, ‘we’re going to be called back into special session again.’ Thanks to Perry’s leadership, babies don’t stand alone in the Lone Star State (Since the unconstitutional Roe decision was a Texas case, it is only fitting that Texas be actively involved in ending the practice of MURDER of our unborn!my addition).

Meanwhile, Texans aren’t the only ones celebrating summer victories. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (D), whounlike Rick Perryis trying to expand abortion, suffered an embarrassing defeat last week, when the state senate refused to consider a measure that would have overturned almost every restriction on late-term abortions. A coalition of state conservatives fought hard against the bill, which would have made New York’s abortion policy among the most extreme in the nation (We are slowly winning and with the LORDS help will end this catastrophe of MURDERING our own just as pagans did!my addition).”

“My coming-out story

by Sierra Champion

June 13, 2013

Mom, Dad, I’m pro-life.

The day I ‘outed’ myself to my ultra-liberal family, I was terrified. These are the people who basically tried to bully me into aborting my son (aka, their grandson) back in 2011. Lord knows I love them, but I was seriously considering taking this to the grave.

You’ve got to understand that I’ve always been the person in my family to keep my opinions to myself. Thank goodness I didn’t do that when I found out I was pregnant at 17 years old.

I can date back several family issues that came up where I would nod my head and go to my room to keep from saying what I thought. By that time, my thoughts sounded like screams, and my ears would burn.

It’s very interesting to me that I’ve done this, because my parents have always encouraged my brother and me to speak our minds. And to be fair, sometimes I did. I was in the GSA (Girl Scouts of America an organization which has now aligned itself with Planned MURDERHOOD and the perverted homosexual agenda! my addition) in high school. I helped lead a peace rally. But should I go against my family’s beliefs?

I know this spiritual transformation I’ve been going through might look completely foreign to members of my family, but really it shouldn’t. They drove me to church, dropped me off, and then picked me up. I loved church. I’ve always loved God. I’ve always loved the messages of Jesus Christ.

Now, at 19, I am taking these things more seriously and trying to live like a Christian in every aspect of my life. I’ve noticed the gifts God has given me that I’ve stuffed down for so long. I have a voice. I’ve always used this voice in music, and my parents were always blown away by my sometimes very dark, deep lyrics.

At some point, your ears are burning too much that you just POP! Well, now I use my voice.

They like to think this is an ‘early 20s phase’ and that I believe that abortion is wrong only because I’m a Christian. Oh, also something about me living in Texas.

Sorry to break the news, folks. I’m pro-life for many, many reasons. Yes, I do believe that the Bible is clear about this issue. But for me, I just have a hard time ignoring the scientific facts. I have a hard time believing that the testimonies of people who have worked in the abortion industry are ‘fake.’ I know that those pictures of aborted children aren’t Photoshopped. I know countless women who regret their abortions. My mother-in-law hung out with Norma McCorvey, aka Jane Roe of Roe v. Wade. Norma, who helped make abortion legal, is now pro-life!

I mean, come on, guys. I have yet to meet someone who has made the switch from pro-life to pro-choice and has medical evidence to back up his or her claim.

I know you think that it’s rude to be in people’s business, because everyone had his or her private reasons for aborting his or her child. I get it. But with that same logic, if I see a little girl being punched by a guy on the street, I shouldn’t call 911 or somehow intervene. I mean, he must have his own private reason for abusing her, right?

You’ve taught me to stand up for injustice. Equality for all. Well, this is exactly what I’m doing! This is global genocide! I haven’t even covered half of the horrible things about the abortion industry.

As I told my parents I was pro-life, I realized that I’m done trying to not step on toes. Every day children are dying from legal and illegal abortions in countries all over the world. I’m a Christian pro-life warrior, which means I reach out with love and knowledge to people.

And I can’t tell you how awesome it is to have a young mom deliver her child and thank me for giving the message of life. So if you are reading this and have a similar situation, come out! Be proud to be on the side of life! Don’t be afraid to talk to women and men about this very final choice they are making. We are spreading the message of life, and it’s working!

Come out, come out, wherever you are!

P.S. If anyone is offended by my using the term ‘outing’ because you think it only applies to LGBTQ, you might want to remember that ‘outing’ yourself means embracing your identity. =)

Sierra Champion is 19. She lives in Texas with her husband and 19 month old James. She enjoys singing, baking, writing, and watching nerdy things like Doctor Who. She is the writer of the lucyricardoblog.blogspot.com where she tries to break down the stigma of young mothers! Sierra is passionate about this movement and is ready to see an end to abortion!”

Shouldnt we all be praying, working, and living to end the MURDER of unborn children!

A bonus post. An example of what being pro-life means.

“A voice for the voiceless: Pleading the case for babies with a 90% chance of being aborted

by Caleb Parke

June 20, 2013

Imagine if unborn children could talk. Imagine if they had a voice. And imagine if one of those unborn children had Down syndrome. What would that child say?

Jack Barr, Jr. and his wife, Jana, have pondered that question and are seeking to raise the truth about the joy they have experienced from their two-year-old daughter, Marley, who has Down syndrome.

It didn’t start out that way for Jack, however. Jack and Jana found out that Marley had Down syndrome after she was born. For babies pre-diagnosed with Down syndrome, only eight percent are born (Sinful! my addition).

‘I told my wife I did not want her (Every life is precious! Imagine if GOD only accepted perfect people! my addition),’ Jack said. ‘I became deeply depressed with thoughts of suicide and divorce for the entire first year of fatherhood.’ For Jack, the healing process has been a journey one that prompted him to make the video.

Marley changed Jack’s life forever with one simple act. ‘[She] leaned over and gave me a kiss suddenly without any warning,’ Jack recalls. ‘At that moment, I knew my daughter needed a father and not another doubter.’

As Jack rocked Marley to sleep one night, he thought about the fear and doubt that had overtaken him. ‘I never would have experienced this life-changing transformation if Marley had not been born.’ However, for unborn babies diagnosed with Down syndrome, there is a ninety-percent chance that child will be aborted (MURDERED! When are we going to stop using the Lefts terms and speak the truth? my addition). ‘This made me realize that these unborn children need a voice,’ Jack said. ‘They at least need a chance to plead their case to their mother. The reality is that in our country, a mother will make the final decision if that baby lives or dies (She should not however! No one has the right to MURDER anyone else! my addition).’ And as soon as Marley fell asleep, ‘I started writing the conversation that I thought an unborn baby would have with his or her mother the day she receives the news.’ And If They Had a Voice was born.

The main goal for If They Had a Voice is ‘to encourage mothers to think through their initial fears and gather as much information as possible before deciding the fate of their child with Down syndrome.’ Jack has said, ‘My belief is if we can encourage expecting mothers to communicate with families with Down-syndrome children, then we can start taking steps toward saving lives. We hope our videos and stories will give a voice to the children who are aborted every day with Down syndrome.’

Jack and his wife have advice for mothers who find out they are carrying children with Down syndrome. ‘Talk to the people who have been there. These families are willing to talk to you and give you the bad and the good. They will encourage you and share with you their struggles. Forget about talking to the doctors and talk to the families. Every family I have talked with told me that having a child with Down syndrome had opened their eyes to a love they would have never experienced without that child.’

From the time If They Had a Voice was started, Marley’s story has impacted many lives. Jack has learned that ‘when you are open and honest about your struggles and victories, then people will listen.’ One of Jack’s and Jana’s close friends who worked with them in Thailand changed her career path so she could work with children with special needs in the U.S. and, one day, ‘start a program or school in other countries where there are no available opportunities for students with special needs. God has used the precious life of our miracle Marley to change my heart and give me a new vision and passion for my students.’

If They Had a Voice is here today because of the journey that Jack and Jana were able to experience with their daughter Marley. They want to give others the same chance to go on the journey that has made them who they are today. ‘Mothers are afraid of children with Down syndrome because that is what we teach them in schools, media, and the medical community. Every situation is different, but the outcome is the same. These children deserve a chance and a voice. Someone has to give them a voice and my hope is that If They Had a Voice will save lives if we reach the mothers (It will! my addition).’

Jack had believed the same lie that most expectant mothers are told in the doctor’s office or at a family gathering when they are pregnant with a baby who has extra chromosomes abortion is the best choice for the baby and for your family (Why? my addition). Jack has found the opposite true:

‘Now, two years later, she is the joy of my life. She is not a monster, she is not ugly, she is not retarded, and she is not a burden on our family. She is a beautiful little girl who brings joy to our daily lives. I understand the fear of having a child that is different, so I want to encourage you to consider taking the road less traveled and see the beautiful things a child with Down syndrome can show you.’

Jack is looking to raise awareness about this topic:

‘Right now, a mother has been asked to make a choice. She must decide to either keep or abort (MURDER! Not a wise choice! my addition) a child that is different from her original plan. This baby will always be different, and there is nothing she can do to change that fact. What has the doctor told her about this unborn child? Did the doctor tell her the TRUTH, or did the doctor only tell her about unavoidable heartache of raising a child with Down syndrome? Will she choose to take a different path or listen to the media that says a Down syndrome child is already broken at birth? The hardest day of her life has suddenly been filled with everyone telling her that aborting (MURDERING! my addition) this child would be best for her family.

Every mother must make a choice, and I respect that difficult process. BUT I want every expectant mother to hear both sides of the story. Raising any child is difficult. BUT I can promise you that it makes me sick to think what beautiful moments I would have missed these past two years if I had taken a different path from staying with my daughter.

Nine out of ten babies diagnosed with Down syndrome are not given the same opportunities you and I have. They are aborted (MURDERED! my addition). But what if they had a voice? As Jack says, ‘children with Down syndrome can change this world in ways we cannot.’”
