Barack Obama (part 9)

I will not be continuing my Creationism posts today. I do plan to return to them soon.

Then, I plan to answer the response about Iraq. I am sorry for the change in plans. Plans, in reality, often are altered for one reason or another. “The best laid plans … often go astray.” Thank you for your understanding and patience.

How many unborn toddlers were murdered today because of the humanistic, paganish, barbaric decisions of the United States Supreme Court?

I began my first two posts of this series with the following comments: “The following article is from World magazine which is the only weekly magazine that I read regularly. Because of the work I had been doing for my clients, I have fallen behind (once again) on my reading. I had just finished reading this article the other day. I was going to do material on Mr. Obama and after reading the article decided this was a good time to do just that. The two previous posts—Seven things GOD hates and MURDER on a MASSIVE SCALE—were preludes to this series.

Tonight’s post deals with selected votes (selected by me, of course) by Senator Barack Obama. All of the newspaper articles come from the Peoria Journal Star’s regularly printed Sunday segment entitled “Roll Call Report” by Thomas Voting Reports. The first paragraph reads: “Washington, D.C.—Here’s how area members of Congress voted on major roll calls in the week ending Friday.” The newspaper is referring, of course, to Illinois for the Senate.

Peoria Journal Star, May 29, 2005, page A7

1) “Judge Priscilla R. Owen: Voting 55 for and 43 against, the Senate on Wednesday confirmed Priscilla R. Owen, 50, as a judge on the Fifth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals in New Orleans. Owen had been a Texas Supreme Court justice.”

“A yes vote was to confirm her.

Voting no: Richard Durbin, D, Barack Obama, D”

2) “Voting 56 for and 42 against, the Senate on Thursday failed to reach a 60-vote majority needed to end a Democratic filibuster against the nomination of John Bolton as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.”

“A yes vote was to advance it (the nomination—my addition).

Voting no: Durbin, Obama”

3) The following is a post from my blog dated “Friday, September 30, 2005, Chief Justice Roberts.

Recommended—Men in Black: How the Supreme Court is Destroying America by Mark R. Levin.

As I’m sure everyone knows by now, John Roberts is the new Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. He was confirmed by a vote of 78-22 with all Republicans in the Senate voting for him and 22 libertine Democrats voting in opposition. As they previously said they would, both Illinois Senators—Senator Durbin and Senator Obama—voted against his confirmation.

I’m not going to dwell on this issue at this time. Just a few brief comments. What bothers me is the writer of the biased article in Friday’s Peoria Journal Star referred to retired Justice O’Connor as a moderate in two different sentences. The supporters of activist courts continue to deliberately and incorrectly label her as a moderate when she ignored the Constitution in many important cases siding with the libertine activists. They continue their belief that if you lie often and long enough some people will begin to believe the lie. The truth is, Justice Sandra O’Connor was no moderate. Furthermore, the writer said that Justice Roberts promised not to be an ideologue. Duh! He doesn’t need to be. All he needs to do is actually uphold the Constitution. The ideologues are those activist Justices who have been ignoring the provisions of the Constitution for all these years.

Welcome to the bench Justice Roberts! May the LORD guide you in your decisions and help the Court to restore the Constitution to its rightful place as the real Supreme Law of the Land in relation to the operations and functions of our governments. (Of course, the Bible is the Supreme Law of GOD.) One more important Justice appointment to go.

4) “Justice Samuel Alito: Voting 58 for and 42 against, the Senate on Tuesday confirmed Samuel A. Alito, Jr., 55, a federal appeals judge, as the 110th justice of the Supreme Court.”

“A yes vote was to confirm Alito.

Voting no: Richard Durbin, D; Barack Obama, D.

I wrote the following about this nomination on January 25, 2006. Supreme Court nominee Judge Sam Alito has been approved by the Senate Judiciary Committee by a straight party vote. The ten Republican members of the committee voted for his confirmation while the eight Democratic members of the committee voted to oppose the appointment. As I predicted (twice), Illinois Senator Barack Obama has joined Illinois Senator Dick Durbin in saying that he will vote against the nomination on the Senate floor.

This is a quote from an article in the Peoria Journal Star on January 25, 2006, page A6. “‘Yet in examining Judge Alito’s many decisions, I have seen extraordinarily consistent support of the powerful against the powerless, for the employer against the employee, for the president against the Congress and the judiciary, and for an overreaching government against individual rights and liberties.’ Obama said.”

Of course, this is Senator Obama’s expressed opinion. It may or may not be the truth of the matter. One must always remember that this is from an individual who like Senator Durbin believes that a mother has the “right” to murder her unborn child. When he speaks of individual rights and liberties, he is speaking of the “right” and “liberty” to MURDER! How utterly and completely sinful! How utterly and completely obscene! How utterly and completely depraved!

What is conspicuously missing from the quote and missing in the entire article is any mention of actually following the United States Constitution as written. That is the major problem with the libertine Democrats. They believe that the Court should be a policy making body. Of course, they only believe that when they have a majority on the Court. Now that they are losing their majority, they will do anything to try to get it back. Be prepared for campaigns filled with lies, half truths, and statements that demonstrate they believe the voting public is gullible idiots—because they do!

Praise be to the LORD! Pray that the murder of the unborn ends! Do not stop now! Rely on the LORD’S power and majesty! Praise be to the LORD!
Peoria Journal Star, April 9, 2006, page A10

5) “Inclusive Immigration policy: Voting 39 for and 60 against, senators on Thursday failed to advance the most inclusive of options before the Senate for dealing with the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in the United States.

The measure (S 2454) sought to provide most of America’s 12 million undocumented immigrants (illegal immigrants—my addition) with a chance to seek work visas and eventually citizenship if they first cleared criminal background checks and paid back taxes and a fine.”

“A yes vote favored the most inclusive immigration bill.

Voting yes: Durbin, Obama.”

6) “Dorrance Smith: Senators on Friday confirmed, 59 for and 39 against, A. Dorrance Smith as assistant secretary of defense for public affairs.

Smith, formerly an ABC News executive and media advisor to the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq, has portrayed U.S. networks as a tool of terrorists with their airing of hostage footage from the Al-Jazeera network. Smith wrote in the April 25, 2005, Wall Street Journal that ‘Osama bin Laden, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and al Qaeda have a partner in Al-Jazeera and, by extension, most networks in the U.S. This partnership is a powerful tool for the terrorists in the war in Iraq.’

A yes vote was to confirm Smith as Pentagon spokesman.

Voting no: Durbin, Obama.”
