Homosexual support leads to boycott of PepsiCo

As of December 5, 2008, I am again accepting orders for my book The Black Sword from Illinois residents. My book—The Black Sword: The Secret U.S. Army in Vietnam—is available by mail (not yet in book stores). See post on July 31, 2008 entitled The Black Sword.

I suggest you check out the following website if you are a policy holder of Farmers Insurance Group or thinking about having them insure you in any capacity: www.farmersinsurancegroupsucks.com

I am an affiliate for the company and receive a small commission whenever someone uses this link and then makes an unreturned purchase while using the link. Check it out. I think you might like the products offered. I do. See my more complete explanation on my post of February 1, 2008 entitled “Affiliate program with Vision Forum.”

Based upon past historical data: 3,287+ UNBORN BABY MURDERS have occurred in the last 24 hours in the United States. See my post “BABY HOLOCAUST” posted January 22, 2008.

I’ve been involved in a problem one of my clients has with Farmers Insurance Group. My previous posts in relation to this problem were:

I will not be continuing my Creationism posts at this time. I do not plan to get to them until sometime in 2009. I do plan to discuss Iraq but not until 2009. I am sorry for the change in plans. Plans, in reality, often are altered for one reason or another. “The best laid plans … often go astray.” Thank you for your understanding and patience.

The following is from http://religionandmorality.wordpress.com I was checking out the Website (mentioned in yesterday’s post) and decided this is a post that should be echoed on my site.

I believe that Christians and people of like mind should buy, when possible, from companies that support the same values that we do. Why would we deliberately buy products from a company that is helping to undermine the Christian values that are so necessary for a free nation? Not only are we providing these companies with the money necessary to make these “donations” by purchasing their products but these “donations” to alleged “non-profits” are then a tax deduction for the company. Consequently, we pay twice by buying products from companies that are undermining the very core values that have existed in the United States since the creation of the republic.

Why would we do that? Many of the products don’t have a lot of nutritional value and almost all, if not all, of them have a substitute available in the marketplace. It’s not like the products are unique. Take the list with you when shopping and help send a message to companies (PepsiCo, in this case) who are helping to trash GOD-given values!

“AFA Calls for Boycott of PepsiCo After Company Gives $1,000,000 to Homosexual Agenda
January 5, 2009
by cschande

Below is the Action Letter I received in the mail today from Don Wildmon at the American Family Association:

Dear Friend,

I need your help sending a message to a major American corporation that is using its great financial and brand-name influence to convince our society to embrace homosexuality as healthy and normal. Here’s the story:

PepsiCo, the company that makes Pepsi-Cola, Frito-Lay chips and many other well-known products, has refused a request by AFA to remain neutral in the culture war.

Instead the company has said it will continue major financial support of homosexual organizations seeking to legalize homosexual marriage.

AFA wrote Pepsi twice asking the company to simply remain neutral. When Paul Boykas, director of public policy for Pepsi, finally responded, he refused to address AFA’s request to remain neutral and never mentioned Pepsi’s support for the homosexual agenda.

In the last two years, Pepsi has openly demonstrated its support of the gay agenda, and its contributions prove it.

Pepsi has given $500,000 to the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the largest and most powerful gay lobby group in America.

So it’s no surprise that Pepsi earned a perfect score of 100 on HRC’s annual ‘corporate Equality Index.’ Those rankings award points for each company policy that advances the gay agenda, and Pepsi has been flawless, as evidenced by domestic partner benefits, non-discrimination policies, diversity training and marketing/advertising to the homosexual community.

In September 2008 Pepsi gave $500,000 to an organization called Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG).

The $1,000,000 to HRC and PFLAG was given to promote homosexuality in the workplace.

On the other hand, Pepsi apparently does not contribute to any pro-family organization that opposes the homosexual agenda. The only side of the issue that Pepsi supports is the side pushing homosexual marriage.

Both HRC and PFLAG proudly supported efforts in California to defeat Proposition 8 that defined marriage as being between a man and a woman. In fact, HRC gave $2.3 million to the effort to defeat the California ballot initiative.

Also, Pepsi forces employees to attend sexual orientation and gender identity diversity training (Propaganda sessions—my addition) where they are taught to accept homosexuality.

It’s time to send Pepsi’s management the same message we delivered loud and clear to McDonald’s and Ford last year:

If you use your company’s name and financial resources to undermine God’s institution of marriage and promote behavior that is immoral and unhealthy, then as stewards of God’s blessings, we cannot buy your products. It’s as simple as that.

…And remember—as was the case with McDonald’s—this Pepsi boycott has nothing to do with whether or not Pepsi hires homosexuals, or if homosexuals purchase Pepsi products, or how Pepsi treats its homosexual employees.

Rather, this boycott is all about the fact that, as a corporation, Pepsi has taken the wrong side in one of the greatest culture war battles of our time.

We cannot turn a blind eye as Pepsi provides the radical leaders of the homosexual movement with hundreds of thousands of dollars so they can promote their immoral agenda.

Remember, all we’re asking of Pepsi is that Pepsi remain neutral in the culture war. We are not asking them to support AFA or any other pro-family group. All we want them to do is NOT support the homosexual agenda …

Sincerely,

Donald E. Wildmon

If the boycott only meant going without Pepsi sodas for a while, it’d be a lot easier to stomach. Unfortunately, PepsiCo owns a lot more than that. Here’s a complete list of their products from the AFA’s website www.boycottpepsico.com:

If you go to boycottpepsico.com you can sign up to add your name to the list of boycott participants. After participating in the AFA’s successful boycott of McDonald’s earlier this year, I decided to take part in this one as well. Fortunately, my wife and I buy lots of off-brand stuff (we’re poor college kids), but giving up Baked Tostitos chips is going to be rough. Hopefully this won’t have to last long.

The sad thing is, Coca-Cola is pretty much just as bad as PepsiCo. Maybe we should just do away with drinking soft drinks altogether? New Year’s resolution anyone? Obviously we can’t fight too many battles at once. PepsiCo’s recent offenses probably are the reason they became the target of the AFA’s current boycott. Hopefully they’ll agree to remain neutral in this culture war so that we’ll have a viable alternative when it comes time to boycott Coca-Cola. Until then it looks like I’ll be drinking lots of water!” (Which is not a bad thing!—my addition)

The following is from Microsoft ® Encarta ® 2007 [DVD]. Redmond, Wa: Microsoft, Corporation, 2006. “Many of PepsiCo’s other products continued to dominate their markets in the 1990s. Sales of Frito-Lay products accounted for about 40 percent of PepsiCo’s total profits. By the mid-1990s Frito-Lay products made up more than half of the U.S. market for snack chips, and the company owned eight of the top ten chip brands. In 1995 U.S. consumers bought the company’s original potato chip brand, Lay’s, at a rate of 4.5 kg (10 lb) a second. The company’s leading product, Dorito’s tortilla chips, was the best-selling salty snack (packaged) food in America in the mid-1990s. Salty snack foods include chips, pretzels, and nuts, as opposed to nonsalty snack foods such as cookies and cakes. In 1994 Frito-Lay began producing several baked and low-fat versions of some of their snack foods—such as Baked Lays potato chips and Baked Tostitos tortilla chips—which soon dominated the company’s sales growth.”

Consequently, it is important to boycott ALL of PepsiCo’s products to get the maximum value from such an action. It may even mean some little sacrifices on our part. Of course, nothing compared to what Paul and other Christians went through as they spread GOD’S WORD during the 1st century A.D. (A.D.—Year of GOD).

Also perhaps of note, although both Pepsi and Frito-Lay started as Southern (and Southwestern) companies, the corporate headquarters is now located in New York. Perhaps, the company has been exposed to too much “blue State” moral relativism? That I don’t know. I do know that homosexual behavior is condemned as sin in both the Old and New Testaments and that JESUS—the CHRIST—only sanctioned marriage between a man and a woman.

“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.” Galatians 6: 7-8 (NIV)
