“Hate crimes” and the vote of Illinois’ members of the House of Representatives, part 6

The blogsite is suppose to be down early Monday morning. Consequently, I’m posting Monday morning’s post tonight.

“U.S. House Passes ‘Thought Crimes’ BillHow did Illinois’ Congressional Delegation Vote?
by David E. Smith, Executive Director—Illinois Family Institute

Lawmakers in the U.S. House of Representatives voted 249-173 to pass a bill (H.R. 1913) which would allow the federal government to declare a harsher punishment on a crime that ‘is motivated by prejudice’ against a list of protected characteristics which include changeable behaviors such as ‘sexual orientation’ and ‘gender identity.’

This bill is rightly termed 'THOUGHT CRIMES' legislation because it will dangerously limit your right to an opinion on the issue of homosexuality!

The Illinois Congressional Delegation voted 14-5 in favor of this bill. Below is a Roll Call, listing how Illinois’ House Congressional members voted on H.R. 1913.

Of Illinois’ 19 U.S. Representatives, only 5 voted against ‘THOUGHT CRIMES’, 14 voted to support the pro-homosexual bill. Republicans Mark Kirk and Judy Biggert joined Illinois Democrats who all voted for this bill. We’ve also indicated in the list below, the Congressmen who co-sponsored this bill.

IFI thanks the 5 Illinois members of the House who voted against elevating sexual orientation and cross dressing to the same legally protected status in federal law as race or religion.

Note: All of the House of Representatives members who voted for this abysmal legislation that attempts to determine the thoughts of individuals and does give greater protection of the law to immoral, GOD-condemned behavior are from Chicago or have some part of their district located in the Chicago area suburbs except for Congressman Phil Hare of the 17th Congressional District. The 17th Congressional District snakes along the western boundary of Illinois and then protrudes into the heartland of Illinois south of the Peoria area. There has already been one Republican who has announced that he will run in the 17th in 2010—Bobby Schilling. Phil Hare needs to be defeated as well as those members of Congress who have recently won election in normally Republican Chicago area suburbs such as Congressman Bill Foster of the 14th which includes Kane County. Republicans also need to challenge Mark Kirk and Judy Biggert in the 2010 primaries.

We need to stop this nation’s immoral decay and decadence! And we need to do it now before GOD decides we, as a nation, are NOT going to repent.
