“Open ‘gays’ in the service: All risks, no benefits

Is fulfilling campaign promise worth compromising military effectiveness? (It is to the Obama Administration since military effectiveness is NOT a priority of this Administration—my addition.)

WASHINGTON—At a news conference introducing the long-awaited Pentagon report on permitting open homosexuals to serve in the military, representatives of the Obama administration and top military officers were unable to name a single benefit that would result from the change.

‘But they did acknowledge the military would encounter some risks and ‘temporary’ disruptions due to widespread opposition among the troops, particularly among chaplains and soldiers serving in ground combat and special operations units.

Administration representatives acknowledged that as many as 60 percent of Marine warriors oppose repealing the ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ policy.

‘You don’t proceed with a policy with that level of opposition just to deliver on a promise the president made to LGBT groups,’ said Elaine Donnelly, president of the Center for Military Readiness.

‘Not one good reason has been presented why the military should do this,’ Donnelly told WND. (That’s because they can’t. There are NO militarily assessed benefits to this insane policy which flies in the face of GOD’S proclamation that homosexual behavior is detestable, indecent, a perversion, and sin that will keep the practitioner from the kingdom of God . “‘Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman that is detestable.’” Leviticus 18: 22 [NIV] “Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.” Romans 1: 26-27 [NIV] “Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.” I Corinthians 6: 9-11 [NIV] In both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible, there is NOT one instance where the Bible is either neutral or positive toward homosexual behavior. Homosexual behavior is universally condemned in the Bible. Congressmen be warned and beware! Changing this policy will ONLY result in HARM to the nation. This is NOT about equality. That’s a lie of Satan! This is about SIN. God is in control NOT you! There will be a COST to you and to the nation. You are NOT above GOD!—my addition) ‘No benefits at all. They say there’s only a small risk. Why have any risk? There is no reason to impose this risk on the people who are serving.’

‘No one is supporting this out of a feeling it will benefit the military. The whole purpose of the change is to reward a radical constituency for the administration,’ said retired Army Colonel Dick Black.

Repealing ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ is a well-established policy goal of the Obama administration. During the 2008 presidential campaign, President Obama promised homosexual activists that the policy, often mistakenly called a law, would be repealed and homosexuals permitted to serve openly in the armed forces.

According to Donnelly, the law in place

http://www.cmrlink.org/HMilitary.asp?docID=229

declares homosexuals ‘ineligible’ for military service, but it has been supplanted by DADT (‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’—my addition) since early in the Clinton presidency.

Critics say the risks will be much greater than the Obama administration is admitting.

‘When you tinker with military discipline you’re playing with fire,’ Black told WND. As the head of the criminal law division in the Pentagon during the Clinton Administration’s ‘gays’ in the military debates, Black conducted ‘exhaustive studies of the disciplinary impact from admitting homosexuals into the Armed Forces.’

‘There will be a qualitative decline,’ said Black. ‘Some of the best people in the military will leave, they will not put up with it. Chaplains will have to refrain from preaching aspects of Scripture.’

‘We know without question that there will be a tremendous increase in sexual bullying within the ranks,’ Black added. ‘Unquestionably, there will be more soldiers raping soldiers.’

‘Soldiers will be showering, sharing bunk beds, that type of thing. Imagine what would happen if we changed the rules for men and women, so from now on everyone will shower together and sleep together.’

Black noted that his division’s research found no instances of homosexual troops being bullied because of their sexual orientation, but 102 courts martial in a four-year period of homosexuals victimizing fellow soldiers or children.

‘Fifteen or 20 homosexuals were administratively eliminated for every one who went to court martial,’ said Black.

According to Black, ‘1,160 retired generals and admirals sent a petition to Congress this year to retain the ban on homosexuals serving in active duty. I don’t know of more than a handful of generals and admirals who stand on the other side. They may be outweighed 100 to 1 on this issue.’

The risks ‘do not present an insurmountable barrier to repeal of DADT,’ said Secretary of Defense Robert Gates. He predicted ‘limited and isolated disruption to unit cohesion and retention,’ which he said would not be ‘widespread and long-lasting.’ (He’s parroting the Administration propaganda to protect his power and position!—my addition)

But Gates could not explain how the military would be improved by permitting homosexuals to serve openly.

Asked by a reporter why the military should accept any increase in the level of risk, Gates could only point to fears that a federal judge would declare the ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ policy unconstitutional, and force the military to embrace open homosexuality overnight. (Given the present makeup of the U.S. Supreme Court, I don’t believe the Supreme Court will agree with a lower court’s determination that “Don’t ask, Don’t Tell” can not stand. Yes, it will be a 5-4 vote either way. We have four activists on the Supreme Court who do not care what the Constitution actually allows and does not allow. However, if it does, just return to the present law which does NOT allow homosexuals in the military at all—my addition.)

‘If this were done tomorrow the risk to the force would be high. If we had plenty of time to prepare the force, risk would be lowered,’ said Gates, who urged the Senate to pass a defense bill repealing the existing law, which declares homosexuals ineligible to serve in the military, before a judge forces his hand. (That’s nonsensical reasoning. No judge can compel him to do something overnight!—my addition)

‘This is a really bogus argument,’ said Donnelly. ‘A San Diego judge with no authority declared DADT to be illegal. The Secretary of Defense should have awaited the results of the appeals. Instead, he started complying immediately. The DOD (Department of Defense—my addition) created a tumultuous situation that should have been avoided. This is what happens when you allow the judiciary to make policy for the military.’

‘The DOD should stop acting as if the decision has already been made [to cancel DADT],’ Donnelly added. ‘I predict the members of the Senate are going to take a good long look at this. They will not be stampeded by headlines.’

Senator John McCain, R-Arizona, has been leading opposition to the defense bill in the Senate, and his staff confirmed Donnelly’s prediction.

‘Senator McCain and his staff are currently in the process of carefully reviewing the Pentagon’s report regarding the repeal of ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’’ McCain Communications Director Brooke Buchanan told WND.”

“Pentagon report on ‘gays’ rigged?

‘This is a profoundly radical experiment with the military’

WASHINGTON—Critics are charging that the Pentagon report on repealing ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ was rigged to come to conclusions preordained by the Obama administration, which promised to lift the policy in order to attract homosexual supporters during the 2008 presidential campaign.

‘That was the mandate that was given to the Department of Defense, to make that outcome occur,’ said retired Army Colonel Dick Black.

‘Can we trust the government under Obama to have asked fair questions? Not a chance,’ said Peter LaBarbera, president of Americans for Truth about Homosexuality. ‘It was a fait accompli if there ever was one. The whole project was stacked in favor of Obama’s agenda. It was not a matter of ‘if,’ but ‘how' the change should go forward. I wouldn’t call the numbers trustworthy.’

The "Report of the Comprehensive Review of the Issues Associated with a Repeal of 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell'" is based on extensive surveys of U.S. troops.

‘One hundred forty-five thousand people in uniform answered the questionnaire, and tens of thousands were reached in other ways,’ said Secretary of Defense Robert Gates at a Pentagon news conference yesterday.

The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Mike Mullen, added that the ‘main thrust’ of the report was combat effectiveness, readiness, and cohesion.

‘The data was very compelling’ in respect to those issues, said Mullen.

Ninety-two percent of soldiers said they would be able to work with open homosexuals, said DOD General Counsel Jeh Johnson.

‘We believe the U.S. military can [make] this change,’ said General Carter Ham, commander of U.S. forces in Europe.

But critics challenge whether the survey was a fair assessment of soldiers’ attitudes, suggesting it was designed to arrive at the conclusion preferred by the Obama administration, which quashed opposing views. (Tell me the results you want and I can devise a survey that provides those results. It’s that simple. Surveys can and are manipulated for the “right” outcome—my addition.)

‘When this study was first announced, Lt. General Mixon, the commander of our forces in the Pacific, publicly encouraged soldiers to speak out on the issue. He was told in no uncertain terms to shut up or get out of the service,’ said Black, a former Marine combat officer and Army lawyer.

‘I find it most difficult to believe troops honestly support homosexuals in the military,’ Black continued. ‘That’s silly, there’s no way that 92 percent could be a legitimate figure.’

‘They never asked whether they should accept homosexuals,’ said Bob Knight, senior writer for Coral Ridge Ministries. ‘Lots of this is based on the fact that people haven’t had trouble with ‘gays,’ but that’s because good behavior on the part of homosexuals should be attributed to the policies in place [banning open homosexuality].’

‘The troops were given no option to express support for the law, that says homosexuals are not permitted to serve in the military. They were not asked about transgenders in the military, they were not asked about zero tolerance, about courses to change attitudes,’ said Elaine Donnelly, president of the Center for Military Readiness. ‘If the disruption to the military is limited, that will be because the only people who would be left in the military would be people who are not opposed to this.’

‘This is a profoundly radical experiment with the military,’ said Black. ‘Unfortunately many of the political leaders in both parties have no military experience, so there’s no way they can connect the dots. They envision it’s no different than working in an office setting. (A huge component of military unity is TRUST! Can soldiers trust another soldier knowing he may be lusting over him. TRUST and LUST do NOT go together in the military!—my addition)

‘They are altering a policy that in one form or another has existed since the time of the Continental Army. General George Washington was the first commander of the armed forces to prohibit homosexuals from serving, and he did this at a time when he was desperately short of manpower. He needed every musket he could bring to bear, but he knew that homosexuals would be so disruptive to military discipline that he eliminated them.’

‘What a disaster,’ said LaBarbera. ‘The Pentagon’s plan calls for a gradual transition, and they plan to use that time to ‘educate’ the troops about proper attitudes toward homosexuality. When we start talking about educating the troops, we’re talking about indoctrination (and propaganda—my addition).

‘They say chaplains won’t be made to teach anything they don’t believe in. But will they be allowed to preach anything the military doesn’t believe in, like the Scriptural passages condemning homosexual behavior?’

‘I don't know what planet those guys are living on, but on this planet ‘gay’ rights certainly undermine the rights of people who disagree,’ LaBarbera continued. ‘They’re either naïve or they’re not willing to say what will obviously happen down the road. Greater and greater advance of ‘gay’ rights down the road with the goal of changing soldiers’ minds.

‘It’s a sad day. We’re really becoming a postmoral country.’

‘This is hardly the first time the Democrats have used social experimentation with the military,’ said Black.

‘For example, the Doolittle Commission instituted by Harry Truman in the wake of the Second World War. The commission felt we should be more egalitarian, so they weakened the rank structure. As a result the U.S. was almost driven into the sea when the North Koreans attacked during the Korean War. They tightened up many of those rules in the wake of the Korean War.

‘[Secretary of Defense] Robert McNamara collapsed good order and discipline during the Vietnam War with Project 100,000, a policy where they brought in troops with low IQs and criminal records. It took a highly disciplined military force and turned it almost into a dangerous mob in certain places. It was so bad in Camp Lejeune they could no longer have individual guards walking post with loaded rifles. They had to put them in pairs with a radio, so they could call for help if they were attacked.’”

This will not pass after this lame duck session. The new Congress with a majority of Republicans in the House of Representatives won’t approve this. If they did, they would be endangering their ability to be reelected.

That’s a lie of Satan! This is about SIN. God is in control NOT you! There will be a COST to you and to the nation. You are NOT above GOD!

Homosexual behavior is SIN. Any law that gives support to homosexual behavior is SIN. SIN has consequences for the individuals involved and for the government that permits and encourages that SIN to occur.

GOD intended sexual relations for one man and one woman—period!!! GOD created sexual relations for the benefit of one man and one woman—only!!! GOD does NOT need man’s assistance to improve upon HIS CREATIONS!!! GOD created man and woman. HE did NOT create man and man and/or woman and woman.

HE did that for a reason. “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.” Genesis 2: 24 [NIV] “‘Haven’t you read,’ he [JESUS, the SON of GOD—my addition] replied, ‘that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.’” Matthew 19: 4-6 [NIV] Congress be warned and beware: Your pay grade is well below what is necessary to change what GOD has ordained through HIS WORD! You don’t have the power, you don’t have the authority, you don’t have the intellect to change GOD’S design for man!!!
