Wendy Davis, the Democratic state senator from Texas who attracted fawning national media attention after she filibustered a Republican-led bill banning abortion after 20 weeks, received a standing ovation after speaking at a National Press Club-sponsored luncheon today. Davis promised to run for either her state senate seat or governor in the 2014 Texas state elections (I hope she runs for governor because she will NOT win! Which she knows, so my guess is she will run for her Senate seat and there is already a Republican who plans to run against her. She may not be reelected!—my addition).

Continuing the media’s obsession with Davis’ footwear, National Press Club president Angela Greiling Keane asked, ‘What is going to become of the pink sneakers?’ Davis wore the sneakers during her 11-hour filibuster. Davis replied she would save them as a ‘memory that I will treasure forever (For being a proponent of MURDERING unborn babies!—my addition).’

During her speech, Davis spoke on empowering women and emphasized ‘How important it is to speak up for those who can’t speak for themselves,’ (presumably to the exclusion of unborn babies [What adults can not speak for themselves? We know unborn babies can not!—my addition]). She later expanded her focus to speak on issues such as education, veterans, as well as the economy via water infrastructure and transportation.

Past National Press Club speakers also aired on C-SPAN who did not receive standing ovations included Carly Fiorina, a business executive and former California Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate on July 1, 2013, Associated Press’ Gary Pruitt on June 19, 2012, and Deputy Defense Secretary Ashton Carter on May 7, 2013.

“Extremism is on the upswing in America. Radical politicians intent on extending their control over women’s bodies are pushing their legislation everywhere from North Carolina to North Dakota (Trying to prevent the MURDER of unborn babies is extreme and radical? I do believe that the extremists and the radical are those who lie and say that it is a “right” to MURDER your own child! It is obscene, immoral, and unconstitutional!—my addition). We need to take a stand and stop the spread of these laws before it’s too late (It is already! The people have recognized the perversion of MURDERING your own children! Some new laws ban abortion after 20 weeks, 12 weeks, or even 6 weeks (Which State(s) is this? I want to praise the legislators. I just do not know of any! Do you?—my addition). These laws force health care providers to choose between the law and the health of their patients (Why? Prove it!—my addition).

Speak out against these laws and help protect women’s reproductive rights (Women reproductive rights have never been violated! She has always had the right to have the child! i.e. Reproduce! She has NEVER had the right to MURDER her own child and she NEVER will!—my addition).

Mitch McConnell, if he really wants to stop Obamacare, has the opportunity to stop it by not funding Obamacare in the Continuing Resolution before Congress in September! He has an opportunity to lead the Republican Party. Will he? If he does not, “If he funds it, he owns it!” And so does every other Republican who votes to fund this illegal, unconstitutional, immoral law!
