The pro-life candidate who replaced pro-abortion activist Wendy Davis in the Texas state legislature has ignited a social media buzz over the pro-life boots she wore on the floor of the Texas state House (Why? Texans are pro-life!—my addition).

Davis rose to infamous when she wore pink tennis shoes during an all-day-long filibuster of a pro-life bill to ban late-term abortions on babies up to the day of birth. Davis not only lost her bid to stop the late-term abortion ban, her shoes became a staple of pro-abortion politics (Which only goes to show how desperate the Left is!—my addition) but they failed to propel her to a gubernatorial victory last November. She lost in a landslide to pro-life Governor Greg Abbott.

Now, Konni Burton, the pro-life candidate who replaced Davis in her Dallas-area state house district, has put a pro-life spin on shoe-wearing. She posted a picture on Facebook of her pro-life boots that have Stand for Life emblazoned on them.

‘The reason I got in was because of this fiscal mess our country is in,’ Burton told reporter Betsy Woodruff in 2013. ‘But if she wants to make this about life, bring it.’
