Dear Don,

Happy Mother’s Day!!!

This year, Mother’s Day has a particularly special meaning for me as I am preparing to give birth to my fourth child and first daughter this week, Gracie Jane.

But while Mother’s Day is a day of great celebration, honoring moms, grandmothers, birthmothers, across the country, it’s also a time for special prayers. Prayers for those of us who have lost a grandmother or mother. Prayers for those who suffer from infertility.

Prayers for those who regret their abortions. And prayers for those who are pregnant but unsure if they will keep the tiny life within them alive (They NEVER should have been put in the position that they have the ability to make that decision!—my addition).

Before you start your normal Sunday chores this afternoon, can you take 2 minutes to write a quick Message of Love to a pregnant student on campus?


Every week, young women in crisis meet our Students for Life groups on campus or they e-mail us after finding our Pregnant On Campus website online (That’s sad! Why are they getting pregnant?—my addition). We give them hope, love, and resources. We do everything we can to support these young women, so they don’t turn to those who prey upon them (Don’t turn to MURDER!—my addition).

But I want to have something more to give them. I am compiling a small book that we can give to each of these scared, young girls, and I want to fill it with messages from you. Messages that tell them you love them, that it’s okay to seek help, and that they are strong enough to get through any pressures they may be facing from parents or boyfriends to abort (Or others! There is never a valid reason to MURDER your own child!—my addition).

While we certainly don’t want to encourage out of wedlock pregnancies, the hard truth is that we’ve got to be there for these young women.

Because I can guarantee you that the other side, i.e. Planned Parenthood, is just waiting for her moment of crisis. In fact, they have built a whole marketing system to do so. They start building relationships with her in middle and high school, telling her that pre-martial sex is okay and to come to them, not her parents, for free contraception and STD tests (Why ANY school would allow Planned MURDERHOOD or any such organization of that ilk into its schools is beyond me! It is similar to having Jack the Ripper teach a class on prostitution!—my addition). They know the earlier they can get her to engage in sex, the more times she will come back for harmful contraception, STD tests/treatment, and, then when she does become pregnant, she will turn to them once again to take care of her ‘problem (And then the cycle may repeat itself again!—my addition).’

Don, it’s a vicious cycle that we have to stop. And we have to stop it where it’s happening … in our nation’s schools (By getting those organizations out of the schools and teaching abstinence inside the schools! Abstinence is the ONLY sure way to prevent pregnancies and that is why Planned MURDERHOOD hates even the thought of it being taught!—my addition).
