I will not be continuing my Creationism posts at this time. I do not plan to get to them until sometime later this year. I do plan to discuss Iraq but not until later this year. I am sorry for the change in plans. Plans, in reality, often are altered for one reason or another. “The best laid plans … often go astray.” Thank you for your understanding and patience.
How many unborn toddlers were murdered today because of the humanistic, paganish, barbaric decisions of the United States Supreme Court?

Unless you pay absolutely no attention to politics, you know that Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich has been impeached by the Illinois House of Representatives—I believe by a 114-1 vote—and he faces a conviction hearing beginning in late January. The impeachment resulted because of indictment proceedings against the Governor because he allegedly conspired to sell the appointment to the United States Senate made necessary by the election of Illinois Senator Barrack Hussein Obama to the Presidency.
Let me make a few things perfectly clear. I believe that a person is innocent until convicted in a court of law—that even includes Governor Blagojevich. Certainly, the Illinois General Assembly has the constitutional authority to impeach and convict a governor. Certainly, the General Assembly may do so before any criminal trial begins or is completed. Just as certainly, until the Governor is convicted and removed from office, he is still the Governor of the State of Illinois and has all the powers of a governor of the State.
Also let me emphasis, I did not live in Illinois when he was first elected to the office. Consequently, I could neither vote for him nor vote against him when he was first elected governor. I did live in Illinois when he ran for reelection and did NOT vote for him at that time. I said that I would not in a blog posting before the election. The people of Illinois, however, did reelection Governor Blagojevich to the position and probably would have done so even if the Republican Party in Illinois had not nominated a “me too”—sometimes known as a Rino (Republican in name only)—candidate for governor.
That said, the Democratic Party in the State legislature and elected State executive officers have done just about everything wrong since the news story of his impending indictment. Almost everyone immediately declared that the Governor should not make the appointment to the United States Senate. The Attorney General of the State of Illinois went to the State Supreme Court to prevent him from making the appointment. The State Supreme Court rightly rebuffed her challenge.
The Secretary of State (all elected members of the State executive branch are Democrats) has refused to certify the appointment made by the Governor. Constitutionally, he was probably in violation of his oath of office to do so and one pundit suggested that he too should be impeached.
Meanwhile, the Governor declared that it was his constitutional duty to make an appointment, which it is, and he did so. Smartly, he did not appoint any of the Democrats who were considered to be candidates for the “tainted” appointment. Instead, he appointed a retired Black politician from Chicago (All the players in this Illinois drama are from the Chicago area and members of the same Chicago political machine from President-elect Obama on down the line.) who had been elected earlier in the history of Illinois as the first Black Attorney General for the State.
Immediately, all the non-Black Democrats declared that the appointment was tainted and invalid (It certainly was not invalid and they had no proof that it was tainted.) and the nominee should not be approved by the Senate. Just as immediate, Chicago area Blacks sprang to the defense of the appointment and the appointed nominee.
Democratic U.S. Senators stated emphatically that the Senate would not accept the appointment which was, in my opinion, a politically ignorant gut reaction done without thinking—in other words, they did what Democrats normally do. Today, it looks like the Senate Democrats will also do what they normally do when in comes to Party matters—cave in. My guess is, eventually the Governor’s nominee for the Senate will be approved by the U.S. Senate.
Welcome to at least two years of Democratic rule!!! I hope the voting public enjoys the ride—THEY VOTED FOR IT!!!
