According to the Illinois Constitution, the next legislative session is to begin on January 13th. Since the General Assembly tried unsuccessfully to amend certain provisions of the law that enacted video gambling within select establishments, I expect them to try similar tactics again during this session. I will watch their attempts closely. Meanwhile, more communities are joining the list of those who have banned video gambling within their jurisdiction. The list as of January 2, 2010 is as follows:
