John Raese—Republican candidate for West Virginia Senate seat and another vote against a Democrat “lame duck” onslaught

“Dear Fellow Conservative,

No election this year will have a more immediate impact on stopping the Obama liberal agenda than special election in West Virginia to fill the seat once held by Senator Robert Byrd.

I am John Raese, proud Conservative business leader, and the Republican nominee for the United States Senate for West Virginia. We are surging in the polls and now narrowly lead Joe Manchin, the Democrat governor of our state.

And this has Barack Obama panicked. A recent item in the Roll Call newspaper says ‘It’s official: West Virginia’s special election is part of Senate Democrats’ firewall against a GOP takeover of the Senate.’ The Democrats will pour millions into this race because it’s one of two or three that could decide the election.

They know that if I win, conservatives will be well on their way to taking control of the U.S. Senate and stopping the Obama Agenda cold.

This fight is bigger than one person. I can’t do it alone.

To win, I will need to raise an army of committed Conservatives like you to break the Democrats ‘firewall’ and restore a Constitutional majority in the Senate. Can I count on you for a contribution of $35, $51 (for 51 seats), or $200 towards this historic effort?

The Democrats didn’t think they’d have to fight me. They thought Joe Manchin would win easily. They were wrong.

Now, Manchin is running for the hills. In March, he was West Virginia's #1 cheerleader for Obamacare, saying it needed to pass ‘sooner rather than later.’ Now, he says he would have voted against the final bill.

Not since John Kerry's "I voted for it before I voted against it" have we seen a flip-flop so brazen!

Our late-surging campaign has upset the Democrats’ strategy to hold on to the Senate. They’ve moved millions from other states into West Virginia for a final desperate battle to save their majority. I need the resources to defend myself against their attacks.

West Virginia is a conservative state that has moved solidly into the Republican column in recent national elections. In a campaign about the issues, I win running away. So Obama and Manchin are desperate to change the subject from the Obamacare failure, the stimulus failure, and their attack on the coal industry so vital to our state and America’s energy future.

We won't let them get away with it.

As an added bonus, I’ll not only go to Washington to stop Obama. Since this is a special election, I’ll go there this November for the ‘lame duck’ session to stop Reid and Pelosi from jamming their liberal agenda through on their way out the door.

Will you help make it possible?

Our surging position in the polls has made victory and with it, the U.S. Senate majority, possible. Let's seize this chance.

Sincerely,

John Raese

P.S. Liberals know what’s at stake in West Virginia and will do anything they can to stop me. Make sure you get involved in this critical fight with a contribution of $51 (for the 51st Senate vote), $100, or even $200 today. Thank you.

John is a very strong pro-life conservative. He believes deeply in the sanctity of life.

A family man with a loving wife and two wonderful children, John believes life is God’s greatest gift. That is why he and his wife Liz are life-long supporters of West Virginians For Life as well as the Susan B. Anthony list, two fine organizations dedicated to fighting for the rights of the unborn child.

In keeping with his pro-life beliefs, John is also opposed to human cloning as well as federally-funded stem cell research.”
