SHUT down the federal government.


The federal government has still NOT passed a 2010-2011 budget. The 2010-2011 budget ends September 30th, 2011. The Democrats had a year both before and after the 2010 election to pass a budget and FAILED to pass the budget even though they had a majority in both Houses. If the Democrats are not willing to accept a cut in the proposed budget of $61 billion which is about a 2% cut, SHUT THE GOVERNMENT DOWN!!! They failed and are continuing to fail the American people!

There is one requirement. The employees who are not working because of the shut down are NOT to be paid for work not done. The programs that are shut down do not receive the money lost because of the shut down.

The government will not be shut down totally. The “nonessential” programs will be. This will give the American people an opportunity to see what programs President Obama considers “nonessential.” If the money saved by the shut down is not spent after the shut down ends, the American people will have cuts in the federal budget and it will be cuts brought about by the Democrats who have, for over a year, refused to pass a federal budget.

The Democrats are the ones shirking their duties and responsibilities. NOTHING NEW!!! DO NOT “compromise” with irresponsible people!

And guess what, the Republicans in the House of Representatives, where revenue bills must begin, have just presented their 2011-2012 budget proposal. And this Congress, because of the Democrats, still hasn’t passed a 2010-2011 budget!

SHUT the federal government down until the Democrats pass a 2010-2011 budget! Cut the budget!!! Cut the proposed 2010-2011 budget or SHUT THE GOVERNMENT DOWN!!!
