D.R.E.A.M. Act for a Few; Nightmare for Most

“More than 10 years ago (Maybe the Senator should get a clue that if it hasn‘t passed by now that there is a reason why it hasn‘t passed!—my addition), I wrote the ‘DREAM Act’ to address an injustice (The Senator has NO concept of justice! He supports the MURDER of unborn babies and now is pushing special benefits for ILLEGAL immigrants ahead of those who want to follow OUR laws and OUR process to become American citizens!—my addition): thousands of promising young people who were brought here as children—without a choice (Their PARENTS made the choice!—my addition)—and grew up pledging allegiance to the American flag (NOT necessarily! I’ve seen pictures of them flying a Mexican flag above an upside down American flag. Doesn’t seem like pledging allegiance to me!—my addition) are not able to fully contribute to this country. (Because it IS NOT THEIR country!—my addition)
The ‘DREAM Act’ would allow this select group of students (Selected by their PARENTS by coming to the U.S. ILLEGALLY and using OUR school systems ILLEGALLY!—my addition) with great potential a chance to earn legal status if they: have good moral character, have lived in the U.S. for at least five years, came here before the age of 16, earn a high school degree, and complete at least two years of college or military service in good standing. (See the following article from the Tea Party Nation! The fact is that Dick Durbin LIES!!!—my addition)
I have been fighting to pass the DREAM Act ever since.
With help from 27,000 citizen co-sponsors of the DREAM Act (OUT of 300,000 million legal citizens!!!—my addition), we now have a real shot at giving these bright young people a chance at the American Dream. (I don’t think so! Their last real shot was in the lame duck session and it failed! If the Republicans in the Senate back down now they are in for a rude awaking! If the Republicans in the House support this nonsense we have been betrayed!!!—my addition)
That’s because tomorrow, I will be chairing the first-ever hearing on the DREAM Act to discuss how it will make our country stronger. (Dick Durbin has NO idea how to make this nation stronger!!!—my addition)
But I need your help to convince a few more of my colleagues to support its passage.

Isn’t everyone who just stood up violating the LAW? Why isn’t the federal government arresting these illegal immigrants for violating OUR law?

The turkey and dressing are barely gone, yet we jump back to the trenches for yet another fight.
Sometime next week, Harry Reid is going to try and bring the DREAM act back up for a vote in the lame duck congress. Hopefully, we have the votes to stop it.
For anyone who is not familiar with the DREAM act, it is stealth amnesty. Illegal aliens probably delivered to Harry Reid his margin of victory against Sharron Angle in the election earlier this month. Now it is payback time. While he still can, he is going to try and ram this bill through. Not only is it a disaster from the amnesty point of view, it is a budget buster as well.
(As the saying goes: READ the COMPLETE BILL!!!—my addition)
Under this act:
Illegals under 35 (at least for now), can apply for legal status if they have a high school diploma or a GED and have enrolled in an ‘institution of higher learning.’ Anyone want to be GED’s? ‘Institutions’ are going to pop up faster than tequila bottles in Tijuana.
They have to only complete ‘two years’ of a program and they have eight years to get that done.
Once they complete this two-year program, then they are eligible for citizenship. That simple.
But, as they say on the late night TV commercials, but wait, this gets better. If the illegal cannot complete his two year program within eight years, they can apply for a waiver if they show their deportation would cause a hardship to a family member, a permanent US resident or … (drum roll please), to THEMSELVES!
Even worse, any information the illegal provides cannot be used against them for deportation proceedings! I kid you not. Not only that, but just by APPLYING for the DREAM act, all deportation proceedings are stopped.
Even worse than even worse, illegal alien criminals are not excluded from the DREAM act. They can participate, even if they have committed felonies in America.
And once someone is legalized under this measure, they can legalize all the members of their families to come to America. This is an immigration nightmare.
On Monday, we must act. First, call both of your Senators. The number for the Capitol Hill switchboard is (202) 224-3121. Call; ask for your Senator and they will connect you to his or her office. Tell them in no uncertain terms to vote against the DREAM act. Tell them you want them to vote against ending the filibuster of the DREAM act.
In Tennessee, we have two RINO’s who have mastered a great trick. They will vote for cloture (to end debate, which requires 60 votes), and then when the bill is up for an actual vote, and only requires a simple majority, they will vote against it. ‘I was for the bill before I was against the bill.’ Doesn’t that sound familiar?
Tell your Senators to vote no on any vote related to the DREAM act.
Then call the Office of Senator Mitch McConnell. His number is (202) 224-2541. Tell them you are a Tea Party activist and this is one issue we will not forgive the Republicans for if they fail us. There are 41 Republican Senators. (Now 47—my addition) They can kill this bill. (Thankfully, they did!!! However, the Democrats obviously have NOT gotten the message!—my addition) The good news is, there are also a few Democrats who might defect and help us out as well.
The GOP can stop this bill, if they are willing. We need to make them willing.”
