With the help of great American patriots like yourself, we raised 176,000 dollars this quarter! This means that Vernon Robinson leads the field of contenders in the 8th District US Congress race. In fact, in the 3rd Quarter, Vernon:
1) raised more money than the incumbent Larry Kissell,
2) raised more money than all of his GOP primary opponents combined, and
3) has many times more contributors than all of his opponents.
To date, Vernon has over 2,600 individual contributors, with 336 residing in North Carolina. Vernon has won the monetary support of 49 Doctors and Dentists who are concerned about Obamacare, as well as the support of 24 Colonels, Navy Captains, and General Officers representing our fine military forces.
We could not celebrate this success without the support, prayers, and hard work of our supporters and volunteers. We also are thankful for key endorsements from Michael Reagan and Charles Helms,

But our fight is not over—it is only beginning. In the coming days and months leading to the May primary, the Obama/Kissell machine will deluge North Carolina with liberal PAC and special interest money. In fact, Incumbent Larry Kissell’s 3rd Quarter report showed that he has already accepted over 100 thousand dollars of PAC money from labor unions, trial lawyers and other special interests.
We also know that we have primary opponents who will not hesitate to pour in funds from their personal fortunes, in order to compensate for their lack of success in individual fundraising.
I need to tell you honestly that Vernon does not have that type of personal fortune money to pour into his campaign. Neither will we ever have the liberal PAC money that George Soros can write a check for. Instead, we rely on the donations of hard-working, conservative Americans like yourself in order get our message out. We must insure that the next Congressman from the 8th District is a true Constitutional conservative.

Robinson Leads Fundraising Race: Raises 176,000 Dollars in 3rd Quarter
CONCORD, NC—Today, the campaign announced that Vernon Robinson raised more money than all of his primary opponents combined. Perhaps more significantly, Vernon Robinson out-fundraised the incumbent, Democrat Larry Kissell, in third quarter receipts. Demonstrating once again his ability to connect with voters and contributors, Vernon Robinson has shown he has the strength and support to defeat Larry Kissell for Congress in 2012.
Vernon Robinson is the tried, tested and true conservative running for Congress in the 8th district. Recently, he received the endorsements of Michael Reagan and Charles Helms, the sons of the two most significant American conservatives of the 20th century, Ronald Reagan and Jesse Helms respectively. He is committed to stopping the radical agenda of Barack Obama.
Robinson raised 176,000 dollars from over 2,600 people in the third quarter. His campaign is showing an impressive 96,000 dollars cash on hand.
Incumbent Larry Kissell raised 167,000 dollars in contributions in the third quarter, 104,000 of which came from special interest PACs and lobbyists. He is showing 251,000 dollars cash on hand.
Vernon Robinson’s primary opponent, John Whitley of Fairmont, has not filed a report regarding the 8th district race. The only information available from the FEC was regarding his campaign for Congress in Tennessee last year. Dan Barry, another contender, of Weddington, has raised 70,500 dollars for the primary election from fifty-two contributors. He has 78,000 dollars cash on hand.
Scott Keadle, of Mooresville, has raised 45,000 dollars this quarter from thirty-five contributors. He is showing 82,000 dollars cash on hand, which includes a 70,000 dollar loan that he made to himself on the same day the report was filed. Richard Hudson, of Washington D.C., has not yet filed a financial report.
At this point in the race, Vernon Robinson has roughly THIRTY TIMES the number of contributors that all of his primary opponents have combined.
‘I believe the liberal Democrats in Washington, led by Obama and Kissell, are going to fight hard for the 8th district in North Carolina. This is shown by, among other things, Kissell’s strong support from labor unions and trial lawyers.
We must return to a limited Constitutional republic so that the American people can enjoy unlimited personal and economic freedom. I want to thank my many friends and supporters for their confidence in this campaign. We have much to do in the coming months, but with their help and prayers, I’m sure we will get it done.’
