Special Senate Election in New Jersey October 16, 2013. Support Steve Lonegan the Pro-Life Candidate

Update: Heard on the 7PM ABC radio news that according to a just released poll about 50% of those polled disapprove of how President Obama is handling the shut down. About 60% disapprove of Democrats handling and about 70% of the Republicans handling. Of course, they never give the questions asked so it is impossible to knew if the questions were slanted. Plus, I don’t trust anything that comes from the mainstream media when it come to polls or anything else for that matter.

That said, I’ve been hearing about the poll all day. The 7PM report was the first time they also said that “even conservative Republicans disapproved of the Republicans handling of it by a 59% margin.” And I immediately said, of course! And that is why the Republican figure is higher than the other two. As a conservative Republican, I do not like President Obama’s handling of it and of the Democrats handling of it. I also do not like the Republicans handling of it but for a very different reason. I don’t think they should have compromised down from defunding to delaying. Now, I’ll take delaying over funding. But, we should have stayed with defunding throughout. And that friends is why the Republican number is so high. Democrats don’t like the Republican position because they want funding. And conservative Republicans don’t like the Republican position because we want DEFUNDING! That said, I urge ALL Republicans to stand firm on delaying! Those who do not will be primaried!!! Competition is good for the economy and competition is good for the Republican Party!!! Competition keeps Congressmen committed to we the people!!!

“New Jersey Battle Has Pro-Life Steve Lonegan Against Pro-Abortion Cory Booker
by Karen Cross | Trenton, NJ | | 10/10/13

Pro-life former Bogota Mayor Steve Lonegan (R) will face pro-abortion Newark Mayor Cory Booker (D) in a special general election on October 16. The winner will fill New Jersey’s Senate seat for the remainder of late Senator Frank Lautenberg’s term ending January 3, 2015.

Senator Jeffrey Chiesa (R), who was appointed to fill the seat until the special election winner is sworn in, declined to run in the special election.

What are the candidates’ positions on life?

Abortion, Abortion Funding, & Late Abortion

Steve Lonegan opposes abortion on demand, supports legal protection for unborn children, and opposes using your tax dollars to pay for abortion on demand. (He is pro-life!my addition)

Steve Lonegan supports the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, legislation to protect unborn children from abortion after he or she is capable of experiencing pain when being killed by dismemberment or other late abortion techniques (He is pro-life!my addition).

Cory Booker supports a policy of abortion on demand, which allows abortion for any reason. Cory Booker supports using your tax dollars to pay for abortion on demand, and supports providing federal funds to abortion providers (He is pro-MURDER!my addition).

At a pro-abortion rally, Booker reminded abortion providers that as co-chair of the 2012 Democratic National Convention, he worked to ‘affirm a woman’s right to choose’ (He is pro-MURDER!my addition). Booker, known for his controversial tweets, recently tweeted that he was ‘proud and inspired by her courage’, referring to Texas state Senator Wendy Davis, who stood for eleven hours for the right to kill unborn babies (He is pro-MURDER and proud of it!my addition).

Obamacare will provide government funding in many states for insurance plans that pay for abortion on demand, and will lead to the rationing of lifesaving medical treatments.

Steve Lonegan opposes Obamacare and believes it should not be implemented. Cory Booker supports the pro-abortion, pro-rationing Obamacare law.

58% of New Jersey voters went for Obama in 2012.

On October 8, Quinnipiac University released a new poll showing Lonegan closing in on Booker’s lead. In a closer-than-expected race, Booker is leading among likely voters 53% to 41%, with 5% undecided and 6% likely to change their minds before the October 16 election. Originally, the spread had Booker ahead of Lonegan by 35%.

Lonegan’s campaign claims the race is within 3%. With New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg suddenly pouring $1 million into Booker’s ad campaign, one might wonder if it is true (Certainly seems it could be! Historically, candidate polls are more accurate than public polls because the candidate wants the unvarnished truth. He can not afford to be misled by a poll!my addition).

It has been said that those who rule the world are the ones who show up. Think about how that is true in so many phases of our lives (In a special election getting people to the polls to vote is crucial! It is also true for primary elections. In elections where the voter turnout is low, each vote carries more weight!my addition).

Politics is not a spectator sport. You have to be involved in order to make a difference.

Remember to compare the candidates to see which candidate supports your values and determine which candidate is extreme in your view, then vote on October 16.

As Ive said over and over again, a poll has never voted! We the people do! We need to work, get out the vote, vote, and PRAY! Steve Lonegan can win this election! Let us make it happen!

Petition to the President concerning the World War II Memorial

The Obama Administration is spending money to block access to the World War II Memorial, using veterans as pawns as he works to save the abortion-pill mandate.

The World War II Memorial is open-air and open 24 hours a day, but the Obama Administration brought in forklifts, barricades, and security to shut it down.

President Obama would rather block World War II vets from their memorial than delay his individual mandate for even one year or give up on his abortion-pill mandate.

The ACLJ has sent a team to the Memorial site, and we’re fighting back. Sign our petition:

Mr. President, Honor Our Veterans. Open Our Nation’s War Memorials.

To President Obama:

Don’t play partisan politics with American heroes. Honor the men and women who sacrificed for our freedom. Apologize to our veterans, and stop spending money to close American war memorials.
