A national pro-life group has launched two new ads designed to help turn out the pro-life vote in favor of a ban on late-term abortions after 20 weeks in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The city is considered by pro-life advocates to be the late-term abortion capital of America by virtue of having one of the most prominent late-term abortion clinics in the nation.

Today, the Susan B. Anthony List informed LifeNews it has begun a $50,000 television ad buy in the Albuquerque, New Mexico media market. The weeklong campaign encourages city voters to support the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Ordinance on November 19. The ordinance would protect babies beginning at 20 weeks, or more than halfway through pregnancy, from the painful death of abortion (Unborn babies do feel pain. The MURDERS at this time of growth consists in literally pulling the baby apart to get the body out of the mother’s womb!—my addition).

‘On November 19th, Albuquerque voters will consider the simple and foundational fact that the child in the womb is a member of the human family (And each is! And each should be protected by the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence! They are not because of a scurrilous court and a protected money industry of “legalized” MURDER!—my addition). At more than halfway through pregnancy, and even earlier, that child suffers excruciating pain from the cruel dismemberment of its body or the piercing of its heart,’ said SBA List president Marjorie Dannenfelser. ‘There is great consensus on this issue nationwide, and building momentum to protect the more than 15,000 lives ended each year in a late abortion. It is time that the law reflects our natural recoil from such violence against the innocent (Well past time! As of yesterday, over 25,000 Albuquerque citizens had cast early ballots in a city-wide initiative that would ban abortions after 20 weeks and is on pace to set a new early-voting record. This trend is generally a positive sign for Conservatives, who have a history of early voting (GOOD!—my addition).

Early voting ends Friday, with thousands more voters expected to cast ballots by the end of the week. Election Day is November 19 with a high voter turnout expected because of strong feelings evoked by the issue of abortion, especially halfway through pregnancy or later.

Meanwhile, campaign finance records show that Planned Parenthood and the ACLU have pumped hundreds of thousands of dollars into an effort to defeat the measure and keep abortions legal throughout all 9 months of pregnancy. Planned Parenthood alone has contributed $300,000 to the opposition, Respect ABQ Women —considerably more than the total amount raised by those supporting the ordinance. ‘What we will see when Election Day finally rolls around on November 19 is whether the abortion cartel’s big money will over rule the will of the people (They do spend a ton of money to continue to MURDER unborn babies! And over half of those babies are female! The real “War on Women” is being waged by Planned MURDERHOOD and their cohorts! Pro-life people want to save lives not MURDER unborn, innocent babies!—my addition),’ said Cheryl Sullenger, Senior Policy Advisor for Operation Rescue, who plans to visit Albuquerque later this week to help with the campaign in favor of the historic Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Ordinance. ‘We know from recent polls that 54% of the people of Albuquerque want to end abortions after 20 weeks when the babies are known to feel pain (It should be 100%!—my addition).’

The ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union. A misnomer!—my addition) has also contributed over $200,000. Texas abortionist Curtis Boyd, who owns South West Women’s Options, the late-term abortion clinic that will be most affected by the proposed new law, has contributed nearly $2,000 personally and from his abortion business.

The campaign has attracted national interest because Albuquerque is one of the few locations where abortions through all nine months of pregnancy are done for any reason (MURDER, MURDER, MURDER through the entire time in the womb for an innocent baby!—my addition). Even President Barack Obama’s leftist political activism organization, Organizing for Action, is heavily involved against the late-term abortion ban (Nothing new about that! He is the MURDER President!—my Addition).

Voters casting early ballots have expressed confusion of the length of the wording on the ballot.

‘We understand that some well-meaning people may have voted against the measure, thinking they were voting against abortion. However, in this case, a ‘For’ vote is in support of the late-term abortion ban (If there is confusion, the question was written poorly! Was it deliberate?—my addition),’ said Sullenger.
