March 26, 2015 (LifeActionNews.org)—Powerful images of preborn babies in the womb who wince and grimace when their moms light up cigarettes are making headlines across the globe. The implications of these pictures reach beyond the harms of smoking during pregnancy; they show the undeniable reality of life in the womb (Of course, it does and it is nothing new we have known it for years for we know that life begins at conception! Luke 1: 39-44 [NIV] “At that time Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judea, where she entered Zechariah’s home and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. In a loud voice she exclaimed: ‘Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear! But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy.” My use of red—my addition).

Using moving 4D ultrasound scan images, Dr Nadja Reissland monitored babies in the womb at 24 (About 6½ months—my addition), 28, 32, and 36 weeks, and discovered that when mom lit up, baby winced.

The study ‘monitored 20 mothers attending the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough, four of whom smoked an average of 14 cigarettes a day.’ And the pictures are chilling.

The Telegraph reports:

‘The pilot study, which Dr. Reissland hopes to expand with a bigger sample, indicated that babies carried by smokers may have delayed development of the central nervous system.’

Dr. Reissland also believes that these videos will help mothers quit smoking, as they see the differences in the development of their child in the womb (I hope so but I have my doubts! Hope it is unwarranted!—my addition). The report adds:

‘Studies have shown that lighting up reduces sperm count (for men—my addition), harms egg quality, hastens the menopause, and increases the dangers of premature birth and the need for caesarean sections … It also reduces the chances of a woman becoming pregnant because it undermines the ability of fertilised eggs to implant in the lining of the womb (my use of red—my addition), according to research to be published today (And that is a mother induced abortion! Mother induced because she has chosen to smoke and not to stop smoking! And that is the problem. The addictive aspect of nicotine!—my addition).’

The study’s co-author adds a powerful commentary that goes beyond the issue of smoking. Brian Francis of Lancaster University made the following statement:

‘Technology means we can now see what was previously hidden, revealing how smoking affects the development of the fetus in ways we did not realise. This is yet further evidence of the negative effects of smoking in pregnancy.’

The images making headlines show the humanity of preborn child in the womb (Yes, it does! Will the pro-murder crowd admit as much? Of course not!—my addition). It’s hardly a stretch to think if a baby reacts so powerfully to a drag of a cigarette, that he or she feels the excruciating pain of an abortion (I don’t think there is any creditable doubt about that! Why would GOD wait until the very last to develop the pain sensors? Pain is a warning signal of danger! If anything the pain sensors would develop earlier than the current 20 weeks that the government says they develop!—my addition)—either being systematically torn apart piece by piece (Which is used after 13 weeks and should be illegal since it is cruel and unusual punishment as forbidden by Amendment XIII of the Constitution!—my addition), or ripped apart by the force of an aspiration abortion (It seems this is the method used before the Dilation and Extraction (D and E) method that is used after 13 weeks. The D and E is the one that rips the limbs from the body of the baby. ALL methods used are evil because all methods MURDER an unborn baby!—my addition).

Researchers make a case for women to stop smoking while pregnant, but the study’s byproduct is even more evidence that babies are alive in the womb, and feel everything (Exactly! Babies are persons from the moment of conception! Persons who go through the normal GOD created stages of development from conception to birth, to toddler, to teenager, to young adult, to mature adult, to old age, to natural death! All stages in the life of a person! And ALL stages should and must be protected in a just and moral society! LIFE is the first and must important right of a person!—my addition).
