FEAR of the LORD—GOD

I will not be continuing my Creationism posts today. I do plan to return to them soon.

Then, I plan to answer the response about Iraq. I am sorry for the change in plans. Plans, in reality, often are altered for one reason or another. “The best laid plans … often go astray.” Thank you for your understanding and patience.

How many unborn toddlers were murdered today because of the humanistic, paganish, barbaric decisions of the United States Supreme Court?

“Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn’t do it, sins.” James 4: 17 (NIV)

“And now, O Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good?” Deuteronomy 10- 12-13 (NIV)

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.” Psalms 111: 10 (NIV)

“Praise the Lord. Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who finds great delight in his commands.” Psalms 112: 1 (NIV)

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools (The Hebrew words rendered fool in Proverbs, and often elsewhere in the Old Testament, denote one who is MORALLY DEFICIENT—my addition from a footnote and my capitalization.) despise wisdom and discipline.” Proverbs 1: 7 (NIV)

“‘The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.’” Proverbs 9: 10 (NIV)

“‘I, wisdom, dwell together with prudence; I possess knowledge and discretion. To fear the Lord is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.’” Proverbs 12-13 (NIV)

“The fear of the Lord teaches a man wisdom, and humility comes before honor.” Proverbs 15: 33 (NIV)

“‘The Lord Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy, he is the one you are to fear, he is the one you are to dread, and he will be a sanctuary; but for both houses of Israel he will be a stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall. And for the people of Jerusalem he will be a trap and a snare. Many of them will stumble; they will fall and be broken, they will be snared and captured.’” Isaiah 8: 13-15 (NIV)

“‘Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who destroys both soul and body in hell.’” Matthew 10: 28 (NIV)

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade men.” II Corinthians 5: 10-11a (NIV)

“Then Peter began to speak: ‘I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts men from every nation who fear him and do what is right.’” Acts 10: 34-35 (NIV)

“Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our ‘God is a consuming fire.’” Hebrews 12: 28-29 (NIV)

“As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: ‘Be holy, because I am holy.’

Since you call on a Father who judges each man’s work impartially, live your lives as strangers here in reverent fear. For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.” I Peter 1: 14-21 (NIV)

“‘I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him.’” Luke 12: 4-5 (NIV)

“You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.” James 2: 19 (NIV)

“Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and every slave and every free man hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. They called to the mountains and the rocks, ‘Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?’” Revelation 6: 15-17 (NIV)

“And the twenty-four elders, who were seated on their thrones before God, fell on their face and worshiped God, saying: ‘We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and have begun to reign. The nations were angry; and your wrath has come. The time has come for judging the dead, and for rewarding your servants the prophets and your saints and those who reverence your name, both great and small—and for destroying those who destroy the earth.’”

“Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth—to every nation, tribe, language and people. He said in a loud voice, ‘Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water.’” Revelation 14: 6-7 (NIV)

“After this I heard what sounded like the roar of a great multitude in heaven shouting: ‘Hallelujah! (Hebrew for “Praise the Lord!”—my addition.) Salvation and glory and power belong to our God, for true and just are his judgments. He has condemned the great prostitute who corrupted the earth by her adulteries. He has avenged on her the blood of his servants.’

And again they shouted: ‘Hallelujah! The smoke from her goes up for ever and ever.’

The twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshipped God, who was seated on the throne. And they cried: ‘Amen, Hallelujah!’

Then a voice came from the throne, saying: ‘Praise our God, all you his servants, you who fear him, both small and great!’” Revelation 19: 1-5 (NIV)

And some on the United States Supreme Court, in Congress, the ACLU, and similar groups want to remove GOD from the public arena!!! WHAT a TRAGIC MISTAKE and SIN for our NATION!!! It is time to REPENT and TURN to the ONE TRUE LORD, GOD, and SAVIOR of the world!!! IT IS PAST TIME TO FEAR THE LORD—THE GOD OF THE UNIVERSE AND ALL THERE IS!!!!!!!

“Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” Proverbs 14: 34 (NIV)

“‘You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied of you: ‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.’” Matthew 7-9 (NIV)

“‘The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side. They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming to you.’” Luke 19: 43-44 (NIV)

“In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, enduring hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.” II Timothy 4: 1-5 (NIV)

“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.” Galatians 6: 7-8 (NIV)
