I will not be continuing my Creationism posts today. I do not plan to get to them until after the general election in November.

I do plan to discuss Iraq before the election. I am sorry for the change in plans. Plans, in reality, often are altered for one reason or another. “The best laid plans … often go astray.” Thank you for your understanding and patience.

How many unborn toddlers were murdered today because of the humanistic, paganish, barbaric decisions of the United States Supreme Court?

Four posts ago, I posted information dealing with the biases of the national media and their decisively liberal bent. Tonight, a “letter to the editor” published in the Peoria Journal Star on September 13, 2008, page A4 as the local Democrats begin their attacks on the Sarah Palin nomination. The letter in its entirety:

“McCain makes a mockery of the vice presidency

It has become all too clear which candidate has decided he would rather win the election than put the needs of his country first. And it sure isn’t Barack Obama.

By selecting Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate, John McCain made it clear that he is willing to throw the United States under the bus, so long as he can continue to ride that bus to the White House.

I am appalled that McCain thinks so much of winning the election that he would pick a governor of a very small state (about 680,000 people) who has no, nada, nil experience or apparent interest in foreign policy, no political experience at the national level, and who had to hire a city manager to run the town of Wasilla for her when she was mayor. Early in her first term, there was even talk of a recall vote, if ultimately no action.”

[My comment: Perhaps the writer should have compared the State of Alaska with the State of Delaware—the home State of the Democratic Party’s Vice Presidential nominee— before she wrote her letter. The State of Delaware has a population of only 843,524 people (2005 estimate) not that much larger. Each State only has three Electoral College votes. Alaska is the largest State in the nation in land area; Delaware is the 49th largest State in land area. The largest city in Alaska is Anchorage with a population of 272,687. The largest city in Delaware is Wilmington with a population of 72,784. The percent of whites in Alaska is 69.3%. The percent of whites in Delaware is 74.6%. The share of people over 25 with a high school diploma is 90.2% in Alaska. The share of people over 25 with a high school diploma is 86.5% in Delaware. And finally, the infant mortality rate in Alaska is 6 deaths per 1,000 live births while the infant mortality rate in Delaware is 9 deaths per 1,000 live births.

Furthermore, the writer is an Illinois resident and some Illinois residents like to compare Barack Obama with Abraham Lincoln—Illinois’ most famous President (more on this comparison in a later post). And yet, Abraham Lincoln had only 8 years of legislative experience in the Illinois legislature, only two years of experience in Congress as a member of the House of Representatives, no elected executive experience (just like Barack Obama and Joseph Biden) and “no, nada, nil experience or apparent interest in foreign policy.” In fact to be technical, none of the candidates have foreign policy experience because NONE of them HAVE EVER negotiated a treaty with a foreign government or been a selected representative to represent the United States of America in any dealings with any foreign government. If they have as Senators, they have violated the Constitution of the United States because members of the Legislative branch are prohibited from being a representative for the Executive branch. “No Senator or Representative shall, during the Time for which he was elected, be appointed to any civil Office under the Authority of the United States, which shall have been created, or the Emoluments whereof shall have been increased during such time; and no Person holding any Office under the United States, shall be a Member of either House during his Continuance in Office.” Article I, § 6, ¶ 2 Why do Democrats continually shoot themselves in the foot? Is it because they don’t know the Constitution or don’t know the facts?

“Even talk of a recall.” So what? The last Democratic President was impeached by the House of Representatives although not convicted by the Senate. “The United States House of Representatives approved two articles of impeachment against President Bill Clinton on December 19, 1998, making him only the second president in U.S. history to be impeached. Article I accuses Clinton of perjury in his grand jury testimony about his relationship with former White House intern Monica Lewinsky. Article III accuses Clinton of obstruction of justice and witness tampering.” Microsoft ® Encarta ® 2007. © 1993-2006 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. And yet, Bill Clinton gave one of the major speeches at the Democratic Convention. Is she really serious to be writing about “talk of a recall?” What a JOKE!!! (The information providing a comparison between Alaska and Delaware came from Microsoft ® Encarta ® 2007. © 1993-2006 Microsoft Corporation.)]

Her policies are far more reactionary than John McCain’s. She is anti-choice and against sex education except for abstinence. She sought out and accepted earmarks for Alaska and Wasilla, though she now says she abhors them. She tried to fire the librarian in Wasilla after generally asking her what her position was on banning books, then relented when the community rallied to support the librarian. As governor she wielded a mighty pen to veto line items in the budget; later many of those items were restored because she hadn’t understood their significance.

[My comment: This paragraph is the crux of the libertine Democrats opposition to Sarah Palin. It has nothing to do with earmarks, trying to fire a librarian, or have used the veto power and money being restored. It has EVERYTHING to do with the fact that Sarah Palin is opposed to the MURDER of unborn babies and understands that abstinence is the ONLY way to insure that unmarried women do NOT become pregnant. She is feared not because she is a reactionary which she is NOT, but rather because she is a forceful woman who is opposed to the MURDER of unborn babies—the lynchpin of the libertine Democrats’ misguided universe.]

So why would McCain choose somebody who obviously cannot be ready on Day One? Apparently because she’s cute, has a handsome family, a special-needs baby, and an unmarried, pregnant daughter. And oh, yes: She can deliver sarcastic, belittling zingers and untruths about the other ticket. She has thrilled many people, who just love her. They are so thrilled, in fact, that they do not feel the need to look into her background and find out that what you see is not all you get.

[My comment: It may seem to be obvious to her but just as obviously it is not obvious to the people of the United States or she would not need to write the letter—would she? Notice how she managed to slip in the comment about Sarah Palin’s unmarried, pregnant daughter as if that was a qualification used to select her. Democrats need to try to remember the glass house that John Edwards built with his adulterous affair that he lied about for two years. Keep throwing stones. It seems to become you.]

This woman is not qualified to be vice president. She is most certainly not qualified to succeed McCain as president if the occasion would arise.

[My comment: Strange! Sarah Palin seems to be just about as qualified to be Vice President as Barack Obama is qualified to be President. And, Barack Obama’s own Vice President said he (Barack Obama) was not ready to be President! Do all libertine Democrats have selective memory?]

By selecting Sarah Palin, John McCain has forfeited the honor and integrity that he values so highly and has made a mockery of the importance of the offices of president and vice president.

XXXXXX XXXXXX
Macomb”

(The writer is a female; I know this because the Peoria Journal Star included her picture—my addition)

My translation of the sum total of this letter: The voting public is not wise enough to realize the mistake John McCain made; but I (the letter writer) AM. This overwhelming need to educate the rest of the American public seems to be because she FEARS that John McCain may actually be elected President, in part, because of his selection of Sarah Palin. Isn’t it kind of her to education us poor, unwashed, and uneducated masses?

As I wrote previously, I don’t mind attacks by the Democrats or the liberal mass media on Governor Palin. I think it will do more good than harm. Have the mass media attacked Senator Biden at all? Do Democrats realize that Senator Biden questioned if Barack Obama is ready to be President? It demonstrates their biases and it demonstrates that they are concerned that she might, indeed, bring votes to the Republican ticket. Therefore, keep attacking her! It can only help!
