I will not be continuing my Creationism posts at this time. I do not plan to get to them until sometime later this year. I do plan to discuss Iraq but not until later this year. I am sorry for the change in plans. Plans, in reality, often are altered for one reason or another. “The best laid plans … often go astray.” Thank you for your understanding and patience.
How many unborn toddlers were murdered today because of the humanistic, paganish, barbaric decisions of the United States Supreme Court?

As a reminder, the following is a portion of my post on March 19, 2009.
“Dave Smith at the Illinois Family Institute put out an important alert yesterday—here are excerpts: IFI Alert: State FOCA (“Freedom of Choice” Act—my addition) Bill Moves to House Floor—Contact Your State Rep. Today!
Pro-Life and Pro-Family citizens must contact their State Representatives in opposition to HB 2354.
Planned Parenthood is working overtime trying to pass pro-abortion legislation—the ‘Freedom of Choice Act’ (FOCA)—at the state and federal level. The title of the FOCA bill here in Illinois is the ‘Reproductive Health and Access Act,’ and the bill number is HB 2354...
HB 2354 represents a RADICAL & UNPRECEDENTED departure from current Illinois law regarding abortion, public funding of abortion, health care right of conscience, and comprehensive sex education.
HB 2354 will prohibit Illinois government and courts from enforcing our Parental Notification Law—which is currently held up in federal court. HB 2354 quashes any right of conscience for moral reasons related to abortion or contraceptives; and mandates the teaching of age-inappropriate comprehensive sex education to all school children. (K-12—my addition)
In short, if this bill is signed into law, Illinois would become a bloody abortion free-for-all. Please click here and follow through on the steps required to take action.” (This website allows you to send an e-mail to your House Representative as well as any of the other House Representatives who number a total of 118 Representatives—my addition.) “Of course, if you’re still not moved—or if all of this is still kind of vague to you—click the following to watch a video titled—‘Everyone Against Abortion, Raise Your Hand.’”
e-mails sent through Illinois Family Institute to:
Representative Keith Sommer—R from the 106th District. Keith is the Representative for my District (Morton, Illinois in Tazewell County) and, in the interest of full disclosure, I’ve known him since childhood when we use to play baseball together in Little League and in pick-up games.
Speaker Michael Madigan—D from the 22nd District. Representative Madigan is the leader of the Democratic Party in the House. The 22nd District is a Chicago area District. I don’t know if it is within the city limits or not.
House Republican Leader Tom Cross—R from the 84th District. Representative Cross is the minority leader for the Republican Party in the House.
Representative Dan Brady—R from the 88th District. Representative Brady is the Representative for another portion of Tazewell County in the House as well as other counties.
Representative Jehan Gordon—D from the 92nd District. Representative Gordon is the newly elected Representative of this District that includes Peoria and campaigned in support of the MURDER of unborn children.
The content of the message said:
“I strongly urge you to please oppose the Pro-abortion Access Act—House Bill 2354 that is being pushed by Planned Parenthood.
Last year, there were over 46,000 abortions in Illinois. This is nothing to be proud of!
Please vote NO to HB 2354!
[The above was the standard e-mail response from this site. I had the opportunity to add a beginning and an ending. I did not add a beginning but I did add an ending. The ending stated:]
To pass this bill will demonstrate the continued moral decline of this State and nation. The MURDER of unborn children is NOT acceptable. Planned Murderhood should NOT be allowed near our schools or our children. Please do NOT support such immorality.
I will be covering this issue on my blog—www.christiangunslinger.blogspot.com. GOD forgive those who support this travesty.
(This is the end of my addition)
Sincerely,
Donald L. Vance”
(I used my legal name since it is the way I am registered to vote. It is also the name I used as the author of my book. I normally use Don L. Vance.)
In early April I received an e-mail from IFI (Illinois Family Institute) urging me to again e-mail my Representative in opposition to House bill 2354. It had been suggested that I e-mail Representatives from surrounding Districts and I did. The following Representatives received e-mails on April 3, 2009.
Representative David Leitch—R from the 73rd District. The District is north of Peoria and includes part of Peoria County.
Representative Bill Mitchell—R from the 87th District. The District is south of the 88th District. I sent an e-mail to the 88th District Representative in the first round of e-mails.
Representative Michael Smith—D from the 91st District. The District is within the Peoria area and reaches into Tazewell county.
Representative Rich Myers—R from the 94th District. The District is south and west of Peoria going to the border of the State.
Representative Jil Tracy—R from the 93rd District. The District is south of the 94th District and west of Peoria going to the border of the State.
Representative Rich Brauer—R from the 100th District. The District is south of Peoria. A small portion of the 93rd separates it from the Peoria Districts.
Representative Raymond Poe—R from the 99th District. The District is directly south of the 100th District.
The second e-mail sent to the above Representatives:
“Please vote against House Bill 2354.
HB 2354 would MANDATE every public school in the state to offer a comprehensive sex education program. No longer would local school districts be able to determine their curriculums in this area; every kindergartener in the state would have to take sex education.
The enactment of HB 2354 would wrest local control from school districts and, due to the absence of any real standards in so-called comprehensive sex education, quickens the demise of sexual morality in our society.
Moreover, I strongly object to my tax dollars being used to fund Planned Parenthood’s idea of so-called ‘safer sex.’
Please OPPOSE House Bill 2354!

(The above is the same as my original comment with the first e-mail.)
Sincerely,
Donald L. Vance”

Tomorrow, the LORD willing (I say that in part because I have not been able to post since Friday morning), the responses I received from the Representatives.
