I’m changing direction this week. Although I plan more posts on healthcare nationalized, this week I’m going to cover the State of Illinois and its new push to increase revenue by allowing gambling/video poker throughout the State.
In my last post I gave some sections of H.B. 255 dealing with video gaming. Tonight, the vote which established video gaming. A yes vote is a vote for video gaming. A no vote is a vote against video gaming. I have identified those representatives from the Peoria area. The information on the specific representatives’ addresses is from “Illinois Handbook of Government” 2007-2008, published by the Secretary of State and therefore may not be current.
Vote in the House of Representatives to establish video gaming through H.B. 255:
“STATE OF ILLINOIS
NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY
HOUSE ROLL CALL
HOUSE BILL 255
ESTATE AND GST TAX-QTIP
MOTION TO CONCUR IN SENATE AMENDMENTS NO. 1, 3
