First term and/or low % support Democrats in House of Representatives

Please NOTE: I received notice that the following link was incorrect. “You can also find photos and video from people who attended the Defending the American Dream™ Summit on my Facebook page XXXX” The correct link should be http://capwiz.com/americansforprosperity/utr/1/CLJQLJIWMV/MAMALJIYPH/4038111186

NOTE: The attempt by the Illinois Senate to change the video gaming law to allow establishments, who have a gambling license, to continue to allow video gaming after being banned by a community, county, or by referendum did not receive the required number of votes in the House of Representatives. The General Assembly has now ended for the year unless called into special session. I expect the issue to resurface next year. Theses people are relentless in pushing more and more gambling upon society.

Tomorrow—November 5th—join the “Congressional House Call” day by going to your HOUSE member’s district office this Thursday at 12 Noon your time or, if you can’t personally get to the office, flood the U.S. Capitol with phone calls AGAINST NATIONALIZED HEALTHCARE.

The U.S. Capitol Switchboard number is (202) 224-3121. Ask to speak to one or all of the House members listed below.
The phone number of the Speaker of the House—Nancy Pelosi—is (202) 225-0100.
The phone number of the Majority Leader—Steny Hoyer—is (202) 225-3130.
The phone number of the Majority Whip—James Clyburn—is (202) 226-3210.
USE THEM ALL!

From what I read, the House vote for nationalized healthcare will be Friday. If it doesn’t pass Friday, there will be another vote on Saturday. If it doesn’t pass Saturday, there will be another vote Sunday. And possibly on and on until it does pass. According to the beginning of the year calendar, the House was suppose to have adjourned on October 30th. I think the adjournment date was missed.

I also heard on the radio (Salem News Radio) that there is a Flood the Capitol with People Day on the 5th too. Tuesday morning was the first I had heard of this. So, if you live within driving distance of the capitol or have time to take a trip of a few days to just get involved, make an impromptu visit to the U.S. Capitol on November 5th. Meeting time in front of the Capitol Building is high noon.

Of course, all members of the House of Representatives are elected every two years—next year is an election year. Members of the House of Representatives who will probably be most influenced by the general public are Democrats who were just elected in the last election and Democrats who were narrowly elected in their last election. I am concentrating on Democrats since, from what I can tell, all Republicans are going to vote against nationalized healthcare. (And they had better!)

Consequently, Democrats in the House who were elected for the first time in 2008 and/or were elected by a narrow margin (With some exceptions, I used 52% or less as the cut off point.) include:

Non-voting members from American possessions were not included. There were 3 vacant House seats at the time my source was printed. All seem to be in “safe” Democratic districts—32nd California, 5th Illinois, and 20th New York—that I did not include.
