Democratic Senators up for reelection in 2012

For both the lame duck Congressional session this year and for the two years before the 2012 Presidential election, the easiest group of Senators to influence as far as altering their behavior will probably be Democrats who are up for reelection in 2012. They have just witnessed the removal of several of their Democratic colleagues for not being responsive to the will of the people. Therefore, we the people will probably have more influence with them than other Senators that have four more years to serve or have just been reelected for a 6 year term. These Democrats are:

01) California election: Dianne Feinstein (Democrat)

02) Connecticut election: Joseph Lieberman (listed as an Independent but caucuses with the Democrats)

03) Delaware election: Thomas Carper (Democrat)

04) Florida election: Bill Nelson (Democrat)

05) Hawaii election: Daniel Akaka (Democrat)

06) Maryland election: Benjamin Cardin (Democrat)

07) Minnesota election: Amy Klobuchar (Democrat)

08) Missouri election: Claire McCaskill (Democrat)

09) Nebraska election: Ben Nelson (Democrat)

10) New Jersey election: Robert Menendez (Democrat)

11) New Mexico election: Jeff Bingaman (Democrat)

12) New York election: Kirsten Gillibrand (Democrat)

13) Michigan election: Debbie Stabenow (Democrat)

14) Montana election: Jon Tester (Democrat)

15) North Dakota election: Kent Conrad (Democrat)

16) Ohio election: Sherrod Brown (Democrat)

17) Pennsylvania election: Robert Casey (Democrat)

18) Rhode Island election: Sheldon Whitehouse (Democrat)

19) Vermont election: Bernard Sanders (listed as an Independent but caucuses with the Democrats)

20) Virginia election: Jim Webb (Democrat)

21) Washington election: Maria Cantwell (Democrat)

22) West Virginia election: Joe Manchin (Democrat) [I heard on the Rush Limbaugh radio show on Monday that, at least, some Republicans are suggesting that he change to the Republican Party since he ran as a conservative Democrat opposed to much of the Obama agenda. Earlier this year, one Democrat in the House did change. I don’t know if he will though since the Democrats still have the majority in the Senate—my addition.]

23) Wisconsin election: Herbert Kohl (Democrat)

The Republicans have 10 Senators up for reelection in 2012 including, in my opinion, RINO Republican Olympia Snowe of Maine. If the Democrats don’t listen and respond to the people, they have much more to loss than do the Republicans including the possibility of losing control of the Senate.

Now is not the time to let up! We must increase our efforts and become stronger. The nation is at stake!!!
