“Could the repeal of Obamacare be here?
Posted by Judson Phillips on February 1, 2011 at 3:10pm in Tea Party Nation Forum
Less than twenty four hours after a Federal Judge in Florida declared the Obamacare act to be unconstitutional, there is a move afoot in the Senate to repeal the measure.
Both Senators Mitch McConnell and Jim DeMint are offering amendments to the FAA Authorization bill that will repeal Obamacare. The new Senate rules allow such amendments.
Senator McConnell has announced his bill has 47 co-sponsors. Every Republican in the Senate is behind this.
Harry Reid is expected to try and table the amendments. He is expected to make his move quickly, which is why we must act quickly.
This is very urgent. Call your LOCAL offices for your United States Senator. Tell them to oppose any effort to table these bills and support the amendments that are offered to repeal Obamacare.
The obvious question is, can this work. The answer is yes.
Democratic Senators who are up for reelection in 2012 are already looking at a bleak landscape. Obamacare remains very unpopular. If only four of them cross over, that is enough to pass this bill.
Call today!
Remember call your local Senator’s office, not Washington. The phones in Washington overload easily and, in many instances, when people are calling a lot, the staff will simply let the phones roll over to voice mail and that quickly fills up. You will not see this at your local Senator’s office.
Those offices are in constant contact with Washington and if they are suddenly deluged with calls on a subject, the Senator’s office in Washington does hear about it quickly.
Pass the word to all of your conservative friends and members of your local Tea Party Groups. Start making those calls!”

“5 Key Senators:
Posted by Judson Phillips on February 1, 2011 at 3:59pm in Tea Party Nation Forum
As the Obamacare repeal amendment is attached to the FAA appropriation, there are five key Senators we need to be contacting and telling them to vote for the amendment to repeal Obamacare. (All five of these Democrats are up for reelection in 2012. A list of all 23 Democrats up for reelection in 2012 with contact information is included at the conclusion of this post—my addition.)
1. Jim Webb. From Virginia, he is looking at a bruising fight in 2012. George Allen, who he barely beat last time is in, looking for revenge and our friend and loyal Tea Party activist Jamie Radtke is running as well. Though Virginia went for Obama in 08, it is by no means a blue state. Webb maybe one of the easiest Democrats to turn on a repeal vote.
2. Ben Nelson of Nebraska. His approval ratings are so low, they may have to create new terms to describe them. He is running, at least now, for reelection. He is infamous for the ‘corn husker kickback,’ and may believe that voting to repeal Obamacare offers him a shot at redemption.
3. John Testor. Testor is from Montana, which is a reliably red state. Obamacare does not play well there and Testor will not want to be painted with the Obama brush.
4. Joe Manchin. Manchin is West Virginia’s junior Senator. He took Robert Byrd’s old seat after the election in November. He has already been criticized for missing important votes and was the sole Democrat to vote against the Defense bill that included the repeal of Don’t ask, don’t tell. Obama lost West Virginia by 13 points to McCain and Manchin will probably not want to be that closely associated with him.
5. Claire McCaskill. Right now, most observers call Missouri a toss up state. Not good news if you are an incumbent. With at least one very strong candidate from the GOP coming out, McCaskill may want to have her John Kerry moment and be against it after she was for it.
UPDATE: We have just received word there will be no vote on tabling the amendment to repeal Obamacare today. Whether there is a vote tomorrow or not is probably going to depend on the weather in DC. Keep calling your Senators at the local numbers and call these Senators at their local numbers as well. We can repeal Obamacare and we are close!
Keep up the work tomorrow and we will keep you updated, here on Tea Party Nation.”

If I counted correctly, of the 23 Democrats up for reelection, eleven are FIRST TERM Democrats and another 6 are SECOND TERM Democrats. This is a ripe field for the Republicans with work, effort, money, prayer, and good conservative candidates to pick up an even larger number of new seats than this year. Keep records of their votes against we the people and whether or not they actually support the United States Constitution as written. WE MUST keep the Democrats “FEET TO THE FIRE!”
We MUST continue the process of TAKING BACK THE NATION!!! The nation is at stake!!!
