As is well known, I am an expert on practically everything. This is why I am obscenely wealthy, sought after by the major media, and am an object of desire even in my early 70s. And! I have a bridge to Brooklyn to sell you!
Despite my shortcomings, I can and I will share with you a bit of economic forecasting that takes no great genius to detect. The U.S. economy is going to flatline all the way through the next election in November 2012. It’s going nowhere and prospects thereafter are dim as well.
Millions of Americans, including those so deluded to think that a guy who had never run a business in his life could actually run a nation, put him in the White House. Let me rephrase that. He has run a nation…right into the ground.
It doesn’t matter if you think he’s a Marxist, a Muslim, a narcissist, a sociopath, or any other name for his behavior, the fact is no one is going to spend a dime more than necessary until he’s out of office and on a plane back to Chicago, Hawaii or Kenya as of January 2013.
Take, for example, the news on July 8th that unemployment had risen to a six-month high of 9.2%. Non-farm payrolls had risen to just 18,000 in June. Peter Ferrara, a senior fellow for Entitlement and Budget Policy at The Heartland Institute, responded to the news saying, ‘Since the Great Depression, recessions on average in America have lasted 10 months, with the longest previously being 16 months. Yet here we are 42 months, or 3 ½ years, after the recession started, and unemployment is still rising.’
Historically, noted Ferrara, ‘the deeper the recession the stronger the recovery. Instead, we are suffering no real recovery at all.’
No recovery!
If Obama and the moronic economic advisors he brought into office with him—only Treasury Secretary Geithner remains—wanted to turn the economy around all they had to do was cut tax rates, cut government spending, push for deregulation to reduce the costs of doing business, and exercise restraint with monetary policies. They did none of this. Instead, they doubled-down with a massive, failed ‘stimulus’ program, cash for clunkers, and comparable measures.
Obama’s policies are mostly oriented toward public service unions and others that have been sucking billions out of public treasuries to such an extent that they have bankrupted entire states. Their private industry counterparts have virtually destroyed industries such as the auto manufacturers.
Then, too, there’s the regime’s preference to buy votes from the least productive elements of the population. On July 12th, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development announced that it had awarded ‘more than $1.9 billion to public housing authorities in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rice, and the U.S. Virgin islands.’
The money is allegedly intended to ‘build, repair, renovate, and/or modernize the public housing in their communities’, but Secretary Shaun Donovan asserted that ‘Housing Authorities need nearly $26 billion to keep these homes safe and decent for families, but given our budget realities, we must find other, innovative ways to confront the decline of our public housing stock.’ Yeah, sure, but can we even afford the $1.9 billion being shelled out? No. It has to be borrowed just like 40 cents of every dollar the government spends.
The reality is that this government keeps shelling out billions at a time when the big debate is whether to raise the debt ceiling!
The U.S. government is leaking billions. Just watch C-Span on any given evening as the Senators and Representatives discuss and vote on the expenditure of millions for everything short of another trip to the moon. It’s like watching drunks ordering a new round of drinks for everyone in the bar.
The GOP is not going to allow the U.S. to default on our debts. There is sufficient revenue coming into the government to avoid that. The debt ceiling will be raised. (Not necessarily!—my addition)
So long as President Obama keeps blathering about corporate jets, millionaires and billionaires, and all the usual efforts to blame ‘the rich’ (now considered to be anyone earning $200,000 a year), those who generate jobs are going to keep as much of their earnings as possible and, for businesses, that means hiring as few people as possible.
There will be no chance of job growth until Obama is gone, but overall the U.S. is losing jobs by the thousands as industry moves manufacturing overseas. Since 2001 the U.S. has lost approximately 43,000 factories. Why? Lower corporate taxes, less regulatory drag.
The U.S. Census Bureau says that 43.6 million Americans are living in poverty, the highest number of poor Americans in the 5l years such records have been maintained. As of November 2010, 14% were using food stamps, 43.6 million Americans. (“Poverty” in the U.S. is NOT like poverty in the rest of the world. People identified as living in “poverty” in the U.S. have cars, color TV sets, cell phones [often more than one], and a whole host of other consumer goods, including housing, that people living in other nations do not have!—my addition)
Look at any statistical chart about the U.S. economy today and these ugly truths leap out at you.”

“Is it a cold day in July? Some Republican Congressmen are actually trying to live up to their promises. From the New York Times:
‘WASHINGTON—For years, legislation to raise the federal debt limit offered plenty of political theater on Capitol Hill, with the party out of power using it to rail against the party in power. As a senator, Barack Obama said in 2006 that a bill to raise the debt limit was ‘a sign of leadership failure.’
This time is different, and not only because the parties have switched roles. Now, conservative House Republicans have a virtual veto over a measure to increase the debt ceiling, and some freshmen in both chambers say they worry more about changing the ways of Washington than about getting re-elected.
‘Re-election is the farthest thing from my mind,’ said Representative Tom Reed, a freshman Republican from upstate New York. ‘Like many of my colleagues in the freshman class, I came down here to get our fiscal house in order and take care of the threat to national security that we see in the federal debt. We came here not to have long careers. We came here to do something. We don’t care about re-election.’
It is not clear how genuine or widespread that sentiment is in Congress, but regardless, it has upended what President Obama said on Friday had been a ‘difficult but routine process’ in past years.
The sheer size of the debt and its rapid growth in recent years have emboldened fiscal conservatives in the House, prompting some of them to pledge not to vote for a higher debt ceiling even if a compromise can be reached before Aug. 2, when the Treasury Department says it will hit the $14.3 trillion debt cap and run out of borrowing authority.
Since Mr. Obama took office in January 2009, near the end of a long recession, the total federal debt—including debt held by the public and by government trust funds—has increased 35 percent. While debt exploded, the economy was stagnant, so debt as a share of the gross domestic product has also increased.’ (What an admission by the “New York Times”!!!—my addition)

Since he began campaigning for president, Barack Obama has claimed that because his mother had a pre-existing condition, she died of cancer without health insurance coverage.
As it turns out, that was a pure invention to win support for passage of his healthcare legislation. So too was Obama’s claim that he watched at his mother’s side as she suffered the disease without being insured.
‘I remember just being heartbroken,’ he said in a 2007 campaign appearance, ‘seeing her struggle.’
According to correspondence unearthed by Janny Scott, a New York Times writer and author of the book ‘A Singular Woman: The Untold Story of Barack Obama’s Mother,’ Ann Dunham’s cancer treatments were fully covered by her employer’s insurance policy. She was turned down for disability insurance because of a pre-existing condition.
Moreover, Obama had not seen his mother for months when she died in a Honolulu hospital in 1995, according to Scott’s book and to friends interviewed by The Washington Post. Her son was in Chicago, planning a run for an Illinois state Senate seat. He did not go to see his mother until a day after she died on Nov. 7, 1995.
A White House spokesman did not dispute Scott’s account. He said that Obama’s mother still had several hundred dollars a month in medical expenses that were not covered, as if any health insurance policy would pay 100 percent of medical bills.
He added that Obama ‘has told this story based on his recollection of events that took place more than 15 years ago.’ (So, he either has a very bad memory which is not good for a President or he is a LIAR!!!—my addition)
That excuse is as credible as Obama’s claim that he had no idea his minister and self-described mentor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr., was an anti-white anti-America, anti-Israel hatemonger. (He always has an excuse or a LIE!!!—my addition)

Obama went on to make up stories about how deprived and discriminated against Wright was while growing up in Philadelphia.
In fact, Wright grew up in a comfortable middle class family in a racially mixed neighborhood. He attended Central High, an elite school that admits only the most qualified students from all over the city. But the press bought every word of Obama’s Wright mythology.
What kind of a person would make up stories about his mother in order to score political points? The same person who would tell the American people that he wants to cut spending when he has presided over an increase in the federal debt from 53 percent of GDP in 2009 to 72 percent this year.
In February, that same person presented Congress with a budget that increases federal debt by $10 trillion over the next decade. In April, that person rejected Republican efforts to raise the debt ceiling in return for spending cuts.
Now Obama is claiming he wants spending cuts, but he will not specify which ones beyond a pathetic $2 billion. (Quite simply, he is LYING again! At best, his offer is to slow down the speed of the growth of the national debt. Under his projections, the national debt will CONTINUE to grow!!!—my addition)
The disparity between Obama’s words and his actions goes back to the healthcare bill. He claimed no one would lose their existing coverage. It turns out that was more hocus-pocus. A McKinsey & Co. survey found that nearly a third of private-sector employers say they will discontinue covering their employees with health insurance because of the rising cost imposed by Obama’s healthcare legislation.
One reason for the increased cost is the requirement that health insurers cover everyone regardless of whether they have a pre-existing condition. That is like allowing drivers to go without car insurance and then letting them sign up for it to pay for an accident that has already occurred. The rest of the country foots the bill.
In addressing the nation’s scary increased debt, Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell has accused Obama of engaging in smoke and mirrors. Dealing with Obama is like negotiating with Jell-O, House Speaker John Boehner has said.
Looking at Obama’s fabrications about his mother’s illness, we can see why.

Some Republican Senators seem to be caving. They are proposing some unacceptable “compromises.” However, that will NOT matter IF the House remains strong, committed, and united. Nothing gets done without the House. We have the opportunity to win this fight. The future of the Republican Party may well depend upon it. Pray for the Republican members of the House and that Congress sees the light and DOES NOT raise the debt limit without significant, real, and immediate CUTS in the fiscal year 2011-2012 budget! Contact your Representatives and DEMAND REAL, IMMEDIATE CUTS in spending!!!
Repeating my compromise proposal:
1) The Balance Budget Amendment is dropped!
As I wrote on my July 16th post:
“The truth is, if we restore the Constitution, this proposed Constitutional Amendment will be meaningless and unnecessary. If we don’t restore the Constitution, it is already meaningless and unnecessary because the government will continue doing whatever it wants as it is NOW doing!!!”
2) BEFORE ANY raising of the debt ceiling, Congress passes and the President signs a 2011-2012 fiscal year budget!
As I wrote on my July 15th post:
“That’s not all though. The federal government has still not approved a budget for the 2011-2012 fiscal year. The new fiscal year begins October 1st. That’s less than THREE months away!!! Three months away and no budget so we have NO IDEA how much the next budget will contribute to the growing deficit. The House of Representatives passed a budget that cut back on spending. The Democratic controlled Senate rejected it. The Democratic controlled Senate then also rejected the President’s budget which would have increased spending. Even though the President now claims that he is for cutting “some” spending. The Democratic Senate is NOT close to passing a budget for the coming year. Isn’t a budget for the coming year more important than raising the debt ceiling. It is IF the President and HIS party are serious about cutting spending. The problem is, the President has NO DESIRE to CUT SPENDING!!! NONE!!!!! HE IS A LIAR!!! AND HE THINKS WE ARE IDIOTS!!! AND SO DOES THE MASS MEDIA THAT PARROTS HIS LIES!!!”
3) Federal income tax on ALL business income—sole proprietorship, partnerships, corporations of all types—will end in the 2011-2012 fiscal year budget. Only individual income will be taxed when distributed to individuals. (Next month, I will propose changes in the individual income tax but the first priority is to stop taxing business income.)
In return for not taxing business income, NO tax money will go to businesses to encourage changes in market activities. Let the free market determine economic activity; NOT some bureaucrat in government and certainly NOT Congress, the President, and the Courts. By the way, there is NO such concept as a business or a business sector that is too big to fail! Failure occurs all the time just as success occurs all the time. The risk is the businessman’s. The rewards are the businessman’s. Let the market place decide. Legal, legitimate supply and demand ultimately CAN NOT be controlled by government.
My guess is, and I doubt if anyone knows empirically because our laws have so distorted the free markets, that the federal government spends more money to try to induce businesses into certain business activities than it collects in business income taxes. By the way, the nonsense of requiring businesses to pay “prevailing wages” when carrying out a government contract would end with the 2011-2012 fiscal year budget. That practice perverts the bidding process and needlessly adds additional cost to the project which adds costs to local, State, and federal governments. Costs that NONE of these governments can afford! Again, let the market place decide!
4) Spending WILL be cut in the 2011-2012 fiscal year budget so that the increase in the national debt for the fiscal year WILL BE NO MORE THAN ½ trillion dollars. Repeating: Deficit spending WILL BE NO MORE THAN ½ TRILLION DOLLARS.
5) For the fiscal year 2012-2013 budget which begins on October 1, 2012, deficit spending WILL BE NO MORE THAN ½ TRILLION DOLLARS.
6) In return, the debt ceiling will be raised by NO MORE THAN ½ TRILLION DOLLARS till October 1, 2012. Before the beginning of the 2012-2013 fiscal year budget, IF the national debt has NOT increased by more than ½ TRILLION DOLLARS, the debt ceiling will be raised another ½ TRILLION DOLLARS for the fiscal 2012-2013 budget year. If NOT, the debt ceiling will NOT be raised.
7) Let the 2012 election determine the fiscal direction of the country.
Will we be a nation that CUTS spending to get our national debt under control or will we be a nation that continues to borrow money to increase spending at the federal government level to “invest” in the nation?
Are the members of the two political parties willing to let the voters decide the direction of the country based upon the 2012 election?

There is NOTHING in the Constitution that grants authority to the federal government to spend money for education or to build sidewalks for a city or to do a lot of other things that the federal government is NOW doing! If the federal government would stop spending money in unauthorized areas, balancing the federal budget would be much easier and would not CORRUPT the behavior of so many within the United States. IT IS TIME TO STOP SPENDING!!! IT IS TIME TO DRASTICALLY CUT THE FEDERAL BUDGET!!!

As is well known, I am an expert on practically everything. This is why I am obscenely wealthy, sought after by the major media, and am an object of desire even in my early 70s. And! I have a bridge to Brooklyn to sell you!
Despite my shortcomings, I can and I will share with you a bit of economic forecasting that takes no great genius to detect. The U.S. economy is going to flatline all the way through the next election in November 2012. It’s going nowhere and prospects thereafter are dim as well.
Millions of Americans, including those so deluded to think that a guy who had never run a business in his life could actually run a nation, put him in the White House. Let me rephrase that. He has run a nation…right into the ground.
It doesn’t matter if you think he’s a Marxist, a Muslim, a narcissist, a sociopath, or any other name for his behavior, the fact is no one is going to spend a dime more than necessary until he’s out of office and on a plane back to Chicago, Hawaii or Kenya as of January 2013.
Take, for example, the news on July 8th that unemployment had risen to a six-month high of 9.2%. Non-farm payrolls had risen to just 18,000 in June. Peter Ferrara, a senior fellow for Entitlement and Budget Policy at The Heartland Institute, responded to the news saying, ‘Since the Great Depression, recessions on average in America have lasted 10 months, with the longest previously being 16 months. Yet here we are 42 months, or 3 ½ years, after the recession started, and unemployment is still rising.’
Historically, noted Ferrara, ‘the deeper the recession the stronger the recovery. Instead, we are suffering no real recovery at all.’
No recovery!
If Obama and the moronic economic advisors he brought into office with him—only Treasury Secretary Geithner remains—wanted to turn the economy around all they had to do was cut tax rates, cut government spending, push for deregulation to reduce the costs of doing business, and exercise restraint with monetary policies. They did none of this. Instead, they doubled-down with a massive, failed ‘stimulus’ program, cash for clunkers, and comparable measures.
Obama’s policies are mostly oriented toward public service unions and others that have been sucking billions out of public treasuries to such an extent that they have bankrupted entire states. Their private industry counterparts have virtually destroyed industries such as the auto manufacturers.
Then, too, there’s the regime’s preference to buy votes from the least productive elements of the population. On July 12th, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development announced that it had awarded ‘more than $1.9 billion to public housing authorities in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rice, and the U.S. Virgin islands.’
The money is allegedly intended to ‘build, repair, renovate, and/or modernize the public housing in their communities’, but Secretary Shaun Donovan asserted that ‘Housing Authorities need nearly $26 billion to keep these homes safe and decent for families, but given our budget realities, we must find other, innovative ways to confront the decline of our public housing stock.’ Yeah, sure, but can we even afford the $1.9 billion being shelled out? No. It has to be borrowed just like 40 cents of every dollar the government spends.
The reality is that this government keeps shelling out billions at a time when the big debate is whether to raise the debt ceiling!
The U.S. government is leaking billions. Just watch C-Span on any given evening as the Senators and Representatives discuss and vote on the expenditure of millions for everything short of another trip to the moon. It’s like watching drunks ordering a new round of drinks for everyone in the bar.
The GOP is not going to allow the U.S. to default on our debts. There is sufficient revenue coming into the government to avoid that. The debt ceiling will be raised. (Not necessarily!—my addition)
So long as President Obama keeps blathering about corporate jets, millionaires and billionaires, and all the usual efforts to blame ‘the rich’ (now considered to be anyone earning $200,000 a year), those who generate jobs are going to keep as much of their earnings as possible and, for businesses, that means hiring as few people as possible.
There will be no chance of job growth until Obama is gone, but overall the U.S. is losing jobs by the thousands as industry moves manufacturing overseas. Since 2001 the U.S. has lost approximately 43,000 factories. Why? Lower corporate taxes, less regulatory drag.
The U.S. Census Bureau says that 43.6 million Americans are living in poverty, the highest number of poor Americans in the 5l years such records have been maintained. As of November 2010, 14% were using food stamps, 43.6 million Americans. (“Poverty” in the U.S. is NOT like poverty in the rest of the world. People identified as living in “poverty” in the U.S. have cars, color TV sets, cell phones [often more than one], and a whole host of other consumer goods, including housing, that people living in other nations do not have!—my addition)
Look at any statistical chart about the U.S. economy today and these ugly truths leap out at you.”

“Is it a cold day in July? Some Republican Congressmen are actually trying to live up to their promises. From the New York Times:
‘WASHINGTON—For years, legislation to raise the federal debt limit offered plenty of political theater on Capitol Hill, with the party out of power using it to rail against the party in power. As a senator, Barack Obama said in 2006 that a bill to raise the debt limit was ‘a sign of leadership failure.’
This time is different, and not only because the parties have switched roles. Now, conservative House Republicans have a virtual veto over a measure to increase the debt ceiling, and some freshmen in both chambers say they worry more about changing the ways of Washington than about getting re-elected.
‘Re-election is the farthest thing from my mind,’ said Representative Tom Reed, a freshman Republican from upstate New York. ‘Like many of my colleagues in the freshman class, I came down here to get our fiscal house in order and take care of the threat to national security that we see in the federal debt. We came here not to have long careers. We came here to do something. We don’t care about re-election.’
It is not clear how genuine or widespread that sentiment is in Congress, but regardless, it has upended what President Obama said on Friday had been a ‘difficult but routine process’ in past years.
The sheer size of the debt and its rapid growth in recent years have emboldened fiscal conservatives in the House, prompting some of them to pledge not to vote for a higher debt ceiling even if a compromise can be reached before Aug. 2, when the Treasury Department says it will hit the $14.3 trillion debt cap and run out of borrowing authority.
Since Mr. Obama took office in January 2009, near the end of a long recession, the total federal debt—including debt held by the public and by government trust funds—has increased 35 percent. While debt exploded, the economy was stagnant, so debt as a share of the gross domestic product has also increased.’ (What an admission by the “New York Times”!!!—my addition)

Since he began campaigning for president, Barack Obama has claimed that because his mother had a pre-existing condition, she died of cancer without health insurance coverage.
As it turns out, that was a pure invention to win support for passage of his healthcare legislation. So too was Obama’s claim that he watched at his mother’s side as she suffered the disease without being insured.
‘I remember just being heartbroken,’ he said in a 2007 campaign appearance, ‘seeing her struggle.’
According to correspondence unearthed by Janny Scott, a New York Times writer and author of the book ‘A Singular Woman: The Untold Story of Barack Obama’s Mother,’ Ann Dunham’s cancer treatments were fully covered by her employer’s insurance policy. She was turned down for disability insurance because of a pre-existing condition.
Moreover, Obama had not seen his mother for months when she died in a Honolulu hospital in 1995, according to Scott’s book and to friends interviewed by The Washington Post. Her son was in Chicago, planning a run for an Illinois state Senate seat. He did not go to see his mother until a day after she died on Nov. 7, 1995.
A White House spokesman did not dispute Scott’s account. He said that Obama’s mother still had several hundred dollars a month in medical expenses that were not covered, as if any health insurance policy would pay 100 percent of medical bills.
He added that Obama ‘has told this story based on his recollection of events that took place more than 15 years ago.’ (So, he either has a very bad memory which is not good for a President or he is a LIAR!!!—my addition)
That excuse is as credible as Obama’s claim that he had no idea his minister and self-described mentor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr., was an anti-white anti-America, anti-Israel hatemonger. (He always has an excuse or a LIE!!!—my addition)

Obama went on to make up stories about how deprived and discriminated against Wright was while growing up in Philadelphia.
In fact, Wright grew up in a comfortable middle class family in a racially mixed neighborhood. He attended Central High, an elite school that admits only the most qualified students from all over the city. But the press bought every word of Obama’s Wright mythology.
What kind of a person would make up stories about his mother in order to score political points? The same person who would tell the American people that he wants to cut spending when he has presided over an increase in the federal debt from 53 percent of GDP in 2009 to 72 percent this year.
In February, that same person presented Congress with a budget that increases federal debt by $10 trillion over the next decade. In April, that person rejected Republican efforts to raise the debt ceiling in return for spending cuts.
Now Obama is claiming he wants spending cuts, but he will not specify which ones beyond a pathetic $2 billion. (Quite simply, he is LYING again! At best, his offer is to slow down the speed of the growth of the national debt. Under his projections, the national debt will CONTINUE to grow!!!—my addition)
The disparity between Obama’s words and his actions goes back to the healthcare bill. He claimed no one would lose their existing coverage. It turns out that was more hocus-pocus. A McKinsey & Co. survey found that nearly a third of private-sector employers say they will discontinue covering their employees with health insurance because of the rising cost imposed by Obama’s healthcare legislation.
One reason for the increased cost is the requirement that health insurers cover everyone regardless of whether they have a pre-existing condition. That is like allowing drivers to go without car insurance and then letting them sign up for it to pay for an accident that has already occurred. The rest of the country foots the bill.
In addressing the nation’s scary increased debt, Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell has accused Obama of engaging in smoke and mirrors. Dealing with Obama is like negotiating with Jell-O, House Speaker John Boehner has said.
Looking at Obama’s fabrications about his mother’s illness, we can see why.

Some Republican Senators seem to be caving. They are proposing some unacceptable “compromises.” However, that will NOT matter IF the House remains strong, committed, and united. Nothing gets done without the House. We have the opportunity to win this fight. The future of the Republican Party may well depend upon it. Pray for the Republican members of the House and that Congress sees the light and DOES NOT raise the debt limit without significant, real, and immediate CUTS in the fiscal year 2011-2012 budget! Contact your Representatives and DEMAND REAL, IMMEDIATE CUTS in spending!!!
Repeating my compromise proposal:
1) The Balance Budget Amendment is dropped!
As I wrote on my July 16th post:
“The truth is, if we restore the Constitution, this proposed Constitutional Amendment will be meaningless and unnecessary. If we don’t restore the Constitution, it is already meaningless and unnecessary because the government will continue doing whatever it wants as it is NOW doing!!!”
2) BEFORE ANY raising of the debt ceiling, Congress passes and the President signs a 2011-2012 fiscal year budget!
As I wrote on my July 15th post:
“That’s not all though. The federal government has still not approved a budget for the 2011-2012 fiscal year. The new fiscal year begins October 1st. That’s less than THREE months away!!! Three months away and no budget so we have NO IDEA how much the next budget will contribute to the growing deficit. The House of Representatives passed a budget that cut back on spending. The Democratic controlled Senate rejected it. The Democratic controlled Senate then also rejected the President’s budget which would have increased spending. Even though the President now claims that he is for cutting “some” spending. The Democratic Senate is NOT close to passing a budget for the coming year. Isn’t a budget for the coming year more important than raising the debt ceiling. It is IF the President and HIS party are serious about cutting spending. The problem is, the President has NO DESIRE to CUT SPENDING!!! NONE!!!!! HE IS A LIAR!!! AND HE THINKS WE ARE IDIOTS!!! AND SO DOES THE MASS MEDIA THAT PARROTS HIS LIES!!!”
3) Federal income tax on ALL business income—sole proprietorship, partnerships, corporations of all types—will end in the 2011-2012 fiscal year budget. Only individual income will be taxed when distributed to individuals. (Next month, I will propose changes in the individual income tax but the first priority is to stop taxing business income.)
In return for not taxing business income, NO tax money will go to businesses to encourage changes in market activities. Let the free market determine economic activity; NOT some bureaucrat in government and certainly NOT Congress, the President, and the Courts. By the way, there is NO such concept as a business or a business sector that is too big to fail! Failure occurs all the time just as success occurs all the time. The risk is the businessman’s. The rewards are the businessman’s. Let the market place decide. Legal, legitimate supply and demand ultimately CAN NOT be controlled by government.
My guess is, and I doubt if anyone knows empirically because our laws have so distorted the free markets, that the federal government spends more money to try to induce businesses into certain business activities than it collects in business income taxes. By the way, the nonsense of requiring businesses to pay “prevailing wages” when carrying out a government contract would end with the 2011-2012 fiscal year budget. That practice perverts the bidding process and needlessly adds additional cost to the project which adds costs to local, State, and federal governments. Costs that NONE of these governments can afford! Again, let the market place decide!
4) Spending WILL be cut in the 2011-2012 fiscal year budget so that the increase in the national debt for the fiscal year WILL BE NO MORE THAN ½ trillion dollars. Repeating: Deficit spending WILL BE NO MORE THAN ½ TRILLION DOLLARS.
5) For the fiscal year 2012-2013 budget which begins on October 1, 2012, deficit spending WILL BE NO MORE THAN ½ TRILLION DOLLARS.
6) In return, the debt ceiling will be raised by NO MORE THAN ½ TRILLION DOLLARS till October 1, 2012. Before the beginning of the 2012-2013 fiscal year budget, IF the national debt has NOT increased by more than ½ TRILLION DOLLARS, the debt ceiling will be raised another ½ TRILLION DOLLARS for the fiscal 2012-2013 budget year. If NOT, the debt ceiling will NOT be raised.
7) Let the 2012 election determine the fiscal direction of the country.
Will we be a nation that CUTS spending to get our national debt under control or will we be a nation that continues to borrow money to increase spending at the federal government level to “invest” in the nation?
Are the members of the two political parties willing to let the voters decide the direction of the country based upon the 2012 election?

There is NOTHING in the Constitution that grants authority to the federal government to spend money for education or to build sidewalks for a city or to do a lot of other things that the federal government is NOW doing! If the federal government would stop spending money in unauthorized areas, balancing the federal budget would be much easier and would not CORRUPT the behavior of so many within the United States. IT IS TIME TO STOP SPENDING!!! IT IS TIME TO DRASTICALLY CUT THE FEDERAL BUDGET!!!
