My husband and I were wanting to start a local Bound4Life chapter in the South Texas region. I decided to do some research on the local abortion center, Whole Woman’s Health Clinic, before we headed down there so we would know how to pray. Finding nothing more than some vague information on their website, I decided to call them directly.

I told the receptionist who took my call that I was doing research, trying to gather information on resources in the area. I explained that my husband and I work with youth … some from low income families and we would like to know where we could send women who may need help.

The lady was polite but guarded and sounded annoyed. Every question I asked was answered with a quick ‘yes’ or ‘yeah’ or ‘no.’ Call me crazy, but if I wanted women to come in for services, I would be jumping at the chance to tell all about them. I had to dig. Really dig. Our conversation went like this:

Me—What services do you offer?

Lady—Pregnancy testing

Me—(pause) And PAPs?

Lady—Yes

Me—(pause) And breast exams?

Lady—Yes

You get the picture. Grant it, there is bad customer service like that everywhere, but then the conversation took a drastic turn when I asked about abortion. There was a literal change in the tone of her voice. She sounded excited.

Lady—‘Abortions are our…. forte! It’s what we …..’

Me—Specialize in?

Lady—‘Yes, it’s what we’re good at. What we’re known for.’

Why the excitement? I can only conclude one reason: MONEY. You can see from the picture that the sign outside the clinic says ‘good women have abortions.’ If that isn’t a bully tactic, tell me what is. You can’t tell me abortion clinics have a woman’s best interest at heart when they are trying to convince women that having an abortion is a moral obligation. By the way, their pregnancy tests are $10 ($5 more expensive than one bought in a drug store). They are FREE only if you are ‘further along.’ because ‘then you’ll have an abortion.’

There you have it. Evil being called good, and good evil, and all to turn a profit. A sign of our times for sure. But as outraged as this made me … arguing does no good. When people are THAT deceived into thinking abortion is a moral obligation, the ONLY answer that will bring any change is prayer. So we will do just that. We will siege and we will pray.

After the Supreme Court decision to allow The Boy Scouts of America to bar homosexuals from working with boys who belong to the organization, the Tucson City Council (showing its intolerant “tolerance” side) removed the Boy Scouts from its list of acceptable city supported charities. My councilman was one of those who supported the ban. However, our Ward voters put so much pressure on him for his decision that he decided not to run for reelection. Two very radical Democrats announced their intention to run. I decided to run because I wanted to help reverse the decision of the Council. While gathering signatures to get on the ballot, a woman signed my petition after some discussion about the city and the issues. I was leaving when she asked me my position on “abortion.” I said I was PRO-LIFE. She said she wanted to remove her name from my petition and grabbed it out of my hand.

She said: “I work for a [abortion] clinic. If abortions are outlawed, I’ll lose my job!”

Who cares about MURDERED babies! It’s a money making proposition! PRAY for the end of MURDERING unborn babies. Work to end the MURDERING of unborn babies!
