The above video is from C-Span 2 which means the statements occurred on the floor of the Senate. The year is either 2005 or 2006 when the Republicans controlled the Senate. The debate is about a Constitutional Amendment to define marriage as being between one man and one woman. The Amendment would have passed in the Senate if some RINO Republicans like John McCain had not voted against it. As a result, we now have the Supreme Court considering if homosexuals somehow have the “right” to have faux “marriage!”

“CWA Responds to FDA Approving Over-The-Counter Sale of Morning-After Pill for Ages 15 And Up

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Food and Drug Administration today announced that it has approved an amended application submitted by Teva Women’s Health, Inc., to market Plan B One-Step for use without a prescription by women 15 years of age and older. Penny Nance, CEO and President of Concerned Women for America (CWA), responds:

‘It makes no sense that kids need parental permission to take aspirin at school, but they’re free to buy and administer Plan B (True and without parental knowledge! If this was an instance of a person on the street providing such a drug he/she could be prosecuted for contributing to the delinquency of a minor in many States except in the delusional world of the Left which believes all individuals over the age of ten should be sexually active! Sexually active but never giving birth! However, when is the Obama Administration concerned with making sense. They may speak of common sense but it is only to disguise that their proposal is not common sense. It is similar to calling a weed a rose and hoping people will mistake the weed for a rose!—my addition). Also known as the morning-after pill, Plan B contains 40 times the dosage of Levonorgestrel, the same drug used in other forms of birth control. If Plan B is so ‘safe,’ then why is a prescription required for birth control (Very good question? Also, what types of longitudinal studies have been done? For how many years? For how many 15 year olds? This is an agenda driven decision! Nothing more; nothing less! Do they really care about the health of females?—my addition) The same ‘women's rights’ advocates who want every decision to be between ‘a woman and her doctor’ are now eliminating the doctor, isolating young girls in situations that need adult guidance (They never cared about the doctor part of it. It just sounds better than a woman deciding to MURDER her own child without even talking to a doctor!—my addition). In fact, studies show that morning-after pills increase rates of unintended pregnancy and abortion. In Great Britain and Sweden, where they have studied the effects of giving Plan B to kids, they concluded that it increased pregnancy and STDs, because it gave the girls a false sense of security and, I would say, permission to make a wrong choice (i.e. having intercourse in the first place!—my addition) . If health officials continue to push women to make ‘Plan B’ their ‘Plan A (And more and more will! If you don’t need a prescription, and you don’t have to take it day after day why is a 15 year old going to select any other method?—my addition),’ we have truly put politics and ‘progress’ ahead of the health of women and, now, our kids.’

Dr. Janice Shaw Crouse, Director and Senior Fellow of CWA’s Beverly LaHaye Institute, commented:

‘It is irresponsible to advocate over-the-counter use of Plan B, a high-potency drug. Once again, those who yell the loudest about caring about the nation’s children and youth are using our kids in a special interest experiment (And a really bad experiment at that!—my addition).’

‘This is a political decision, made by those who stand to profit financially from an action that puts ideology ahead of the nation’s girls and young women. As usual, the reproductive rights activists are ignoring both research and reality in order to mainstream their ideology (And they are the ones who supposedly worship at the altar of science—unless science is inconvenient or not according to what they want!—my addition). Sadly, some of our children and young girls will suffer the consequences of this irresponsible decision.’
