“She Rejected Abortion After Rape, Then The Rapist Sought Custody of Her Daughter
by Lauren Enriquez | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com | 4/28/14
In 31 states, rapists (Convicted?—my addition) are allowed to seek custody of the children born as a result of their crime (Name the States and give the circumstances?—my addition). Ten years ago, Shauna Prewitt was raped, and at that time many people in her life encouraged Shauna to abort her daughter, but she knew that was not the right choice for herself or for her child (It is never the right choice for the mother or the child! It is MURDER! How can MURDER be the “right” choice?—my addition).
Having made the courageous decision to raise her daughter as a 21-year-old single mother, Shauna had her share of difficulties to surmount, and to add to insult to injury, her attacker sought custody of their daughter when she was born (Why? Under what grounds? Was he successful? Was he convicted?—my addiction).
She shares her testimony and explains her journey to choosing life for her daughter, saying:
Ten years ago, I was raped. It is remarkable to me, sitting here as a 32-year-old woman, to look back on the decisions that I made when I was 21, and to just think how easily it could have all been so different (Abortion/MURDER is easy?—my addition). I stopped letting the, kind of, the people who were telling me that abortion was the right thing to do, I stopped hearing them. I decided that, it’s not right for me, absolutely not.
Shortly after my daughter’s birth, when I was basking in the glow of being a new mom to this incredible little life, my attacker sought full custody (My use of red—my addition) of my little girl. And, you know, that’s when I got scared (Why does this just stop here?—my addition).
It’s the question [from my daughter] that I had been dreading for almost nine years. So I just told her, I said, ‘you know, baby, sometimes we’re forced to do things that we just don’t want to do.’ She just started sobbing at that point. After crying for a little bit she said mommy, I am just so sorry that that happened to you. But at least you have me.
I think this world would be a much worse place without my little girl in it. I think the world needs more people like her.
Prewitt gained notoriety in 2012 when she responded to Tod Akin’s ‘legitimate rape’ comments by penning an open letter to the senator explaining the circumstances of her rape (The “legitimate” rape statement was not as controversial as the Left and media made it out to be! We all know or should know that some women claim rape when rape did not occur. The Duke lacrosse case being one glaring example!—my addition). In that letter, she said:
You see, to my surprise, I did not altogether hate the life growing inside of me. Instead, I felt a sort of kinship, a partnership—perhaps the kind that only develops between those who have suffered together—but, nevertheless, I felt a bond.

Legislation punishing rape is extremely skewed in the United States. Frequently, the children are punished for their father’s crimes by being aborted (MURDERED!—my addition) due to the circumstances of their life. To make the situation even more threatening to the little ones, a woman who courageously chooses to carry the child of her rapist to term is faced with the possibility, in most states, that her rapist will seek custody of her child (There is a difference from seeking and receiving custody!—my addition).
Rather than vehemently punishing the abhorrent acts of these men, legislation punishes the children and mothers instead (How so?—my addition). Today, Prewitt advocates for the rights of mothers who have experienced rape and become pregnant, and she advocates for the right to life of the children conceived in rape.”
If you regularly read this blog, you know I am 100% pro-life and do not accept the so-called exceptions. There are no exceptions to MURDER! From the very first sentence there was something missing in this article. It begins with a broad generalization that makes it seem that all a “rapist” needs to do is seek custody and custody is granted. And yes, I deliberately used quotes for rapist. There is a difference between being accused and being convicted. Nowhere in the story is there a distinction. Nowhere in the story is there a hint on any restricts about custody. And yet statistically, it is relatively rare when a husband gets full custody of his child through marriage. What are the statistical chances of a convicted rapist getting full custody of the child? Probably close to nil. I would think the mother would have to be a complete basket case. This article reads like it was written by a Leftist? It is vague to the point of being extremely misleading. Isn’t it?
We all know or should know that some women claim rape when rape did not occur. The Duke lacrosse case being one glaring example!

The Founding Fathers recognized the importance of citizen knowledge and involvement.
“The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.” ~ Thomas Jefferson
“If a nation expects to be ignorant—and free—in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be.” ~ Thomas Jefferson
“Knowledge is, in every country, the surest basis of public happiness.” ~ George Washington
“Law and liberty cannot rationally become the objects of our love, unless they first become the objects of our knowledge.” ~ James Wilson
This election is critical! For life, for traditional family, for religious freedom, for liberty!
Restore the Constitution! Take back the nation!
Proverbs 14: 34 (NIV)
“Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people.”
Ephesians 5: 11 (NIV)
“Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.”
Galatians 6: 7-8 (NIV)
“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.”
It is time for all of us who support the morality established by GOD to rebel against the forces of evil! Expose their evil and return to GOD’S word and will!
Christians were bold in the First Century church! Are Christians as bold today?
Christians were resolute in the First Century church! Are Christians as resolute today?
Christians stood for the truth in the First Century church! Are Christians standing for the truth today?
If not Christians, who? If not now, when?

This is my two part suggestion to Tea Party groups, social conservatives, Constitutionalists, and anyone else who wants to save our Republic from the approaching destruction.
1) Run as many conservative candidates in as many Republican primaries as possible.
2) Then, run as many independent and/or third party candidates as possible in as many races as possible where we did not win the primary.

Competition is good for the economy and competition is good for the Republican Party!!! Competition keeps Congressmen committed to we the people!!! Primary Republicans who do not support the Constitution as written.
