I have just started to read The Politically Incorrect Guide™ to Global Warming and Environmentalism. The book jacket says the following:

(I’ve been told that it is “for my children” by someone who has a four person family and five cars!—my addition) It’s for the whales! (As if whales were more important than people. Would that the environmentalists would show the same enthusiasm to stop the MURDER of UNBORN BABIES!—my addition) But until now the doomsday-scenario environmental scares they’ve trumped up haven’t been large enough to justify the lifestyle restrictions they want to impose. Then I’ll know that they are serious!—my addition) With global warming, however, greenhouse gasbags can argue that auto emissions in Ohio threaten people in Paris, and that only ‘global governance’ (Jacques Chirac’s words) can tackle such problems.
