On Monday, March 10, 2008 after a difficult day working on tax returns, I thought it was time for a short break. Since there was suppose to be a new lawyer TV program on Fox at 7 p.m., I turned it on to see if it might be any good. It was being aired during the alleged “Family Hour” so I was hoping it might actually be semi-good. It wasn’t.
In the first scene of the program, a woman was sitting on the edge of a bed. A man was lying on the bed with a sheet over his body.
The first sentence spoken on the program was from the woman stating that she had to leave now. The second sentence from the woman was “Oh God, I look like hell!”
The second group of words from the main character of the program was to BLASPHEME GOD—the CREATOR of the universe. Obviously, TV writers didn’t learn how to communicate without blaspheming GOD while on strike.
I turned off the TV. I will continue not watching TV until the characters can communicate without blaspheming GOD—the CREATOR of the universe. My TV may remain off for most of the rest of my life.
It is a dangerous event when GOD is blasphemed!!!
“You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name” Exodus 20: 7 (NIV) This is the third commandment in the Ten Commandments. The same Ten Commandments that libertines are trying so hard to remove from the public arena. It is as if they think that if the Ten Commandments are out of sight, the word of GOD will no longer apply to our lives. They are wrong!!!
