House of Representatives to vote on Nationalized Healthcare—H.R. 3962

COMMENT from a reader received on “Oath Keepers” post:

You might want to consider cutting back some of the non-new post related material that you place before every post. It can make your post very hard to read at points because it is difficult to tell where the new post starts.

12:24 PM”

First, thank you for reading the post although difficult. And, you are right. You may have noticed I did some cutting although it was painful.

This means, I won’t keep this section up for very long. Thank you!

TODAY—November 5th—join the “Congressional House Call” day by going to your HOUSE member’s district office TODAY—Thursday—at 12 Noon your time. Or, if you can’t personally get to the office, flood the U.S. Capitol with phone calls AGAINST NATIONALIZED HEALTHCARE.

The U.S. Capitol Switchboard number is (202) 224-3121.
The phone number of the Speaker of the House—Nancy Pelosi—is (202) 225-0100.
The phone number of the Majority Leader—Steny Hoyer—is (202) 225-3130.
The phone number of the Majority Whip—James Clyburn—is (202) 226-3210.
USE THEM ALL!

From what I read, the House vote for nationalized healthcare will be Friday. If it doesn’t pass Friday, there will be another vote on Saturday. If it doesn’t pass Saturday, there will be another vote Sunday. And possibly on and on until it does pass. According to the beginning of the year calendar, the House was suppose to have adjourned on October 30th. I think the adjournment date was missed.

I also heard on the radio (Salem News Radio) that there is a Flood the Capitol with People Day on the 5th too. So, if you live within driving distance of the capitol get involved, make an impromptu visit to the U.S. Capitol on November 5th. Meeting time in front of the Capitol Building is high noon.

“The Worst Bill Ever! Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi sent her version of health care reform to the House last week. The Wall Street Journal pulled no punches in ‘The Worst Bill Ever,’ its sharply critical assessment of Pelosi’s proposals in which it decried the bill as possibly being ‘the worst piece of post-New Deal legislation ever introduced.’ We couldn’t have said it better.”

“As millions of Americans head to the polls today, it’s worthwhile to reflect on what our representatives in Washington are planning for the future of our health care—a complete government takeover over your choice and quality of care. Despite Americans’ vocal opposition to such plans and polls indicating a majority of the public opposes the President’s proposed reforms, Congress is marching full speed ahead.

The latest House bill is a shining illustration of their goal to have Washington take over our health care. As Americans have a chance to read the bill, the gory details become ever scarier—nearly $600 billion in new taxes, $34 billion in unfunded mandates dumped on states and an underhanded proposal that creates three avenues in which a robust government-run insurance plan could be enacted. The level of bureaucracy is staggering! One particularly outrageous provision mandates that vending machines display nutrition labels for all products before purchases! Altogether, the bill creates 111 new bureaucracies and comes with a price tag of over $1.2 trillion.” (According to Republicans on C-SPAN, the new bill—H.R. 3962—has 3,495 instances of “shall” used in the 1990 page bill! Ops! Also according to Republicans on C-SPAN Wednesday night, the Democrats have now added a 40 page “management amendment” which now increases the bill to a very manageable 2030 pages—my addition.)

“This bill will:

1) add layers of bureaucracy to health care decisions

2) limit choices

3) impose taxes on middle class families

4) cut Medicare benefits to seniors

5) Imposes $2 billion of taxes on insurance policies that will ultimately be borne by policy holders (The punishment allocated by Democrats toward insurance companies for switching from supporting nationalized healthcare to being opposed to the proposed bill—my addition.)

6) stifle job creation by imposing mandates on small businesses

The real consequences of this reform will be felt by all of us.

Washington manages Medicare which is going broke. Washington has struggled to distribute life-saving vaccines to protect our children from swine flu (H1N1). Can you really expect the Washington politicians to effectively run your health care?” (Washington bureaucrats!—my addition)

“Abortion is not healthcare!

This legislation would provide a public option, like Medicare, that authorizes government funded elective abortions. All amendments introduced in committee to remove the abortion funding have, thus far, been defeated. When President Barack Obama was campaigning in 2007, he told Planned Parenthood that one of his priorities would be to include abortion in a public plan. His address to Planned Parenthood is available on YouTube.com HERE.” (Didn’t he claim in his speech before Congress that the MUDER of unborn babies would not be covered in Nationalized Healthcare? Be assured, if not specifically excluded, it will occur! HE LIES!!!—my addition)
