“Candidates you need to know about: Dr. Scott DesJarlais TN-4th
Posted by Judson Phillips
Tea Party Nation began as a result of the first Tea Party rallies that were held in Nashville in early 2009. Our focus is national, but sometimes it is hard to ignore things in our back yard and the race for the 4th Congressional District in Tennessee is one that cannot be ignored.
The incumbent is Lincoln Davis. Davis likes to come home and brag about how conservative he is. He claims to be a ‘Blue Dog Democrat.’ Lincoln Davis has a pathetic 38 rating by the American Conservative Union.
Davis has gotten desperate in the campaign and has been running negative ads against DesJarlais that can only be described as nasty. They are personal, viscous attacks on him and his family.
DesJarlais is a doctor, who like so many has become angry with the career politicians in Washington. He favors tax cuts, ending illegal immigration. As a Doctor, he actually knows how the healthcare system works and strongly opposes Obamacare.
Davis voted for the ‘stimulus’ packages as well as Obamacare. Davis is the kind of career politician who does not listen to the people and he is the kind of politician the Tea Party movement needs to help retire.
DesJarlais needs your help. Tennessee currently has a 5-4 split in its congressional delegation, with Democrats in the majority. This election has the possibility of changing that split to 7-2 Republican. Retiring liberal Lincoln Davis can help put a conservative majority in the Congress.
DesJarlais website is here. (http://www.scottdesjarlais.com/www)
Contact their campaign office and see if you can help him retire a liberal!”
From Dr. Scott DesJarlais’ website:
“5. Protect our traditional Tennessee values.
Scott is pro-gun, pro-life and pro-marriage and PROUD OF IT.
7. Stop Illegal Immigration
Scott does not support amnesty. Dr. D’s plan for illegal immigrants is a one way ticket out of the United States.” (Sounds good to me!—my addition)

These desperate Liberal Democrats are responding as they usually do. Anyone who does not believe as they do are ‘evil’ people. They know they are going to go down in record numbers and have resorted to their ‘attack and destroy’ tactics. They certainly cannot run on their voting records in DC. I will pray for Dr. DesJarlais to be victorious in Tennessee. God Bless America (the one we used to know). And the one we are going to return to in this and the next election cycle.

Justin, Tried to bring up Dr. Scott DesJarlais website & nothing came up. (I had no problem—my addition.) I can understand how these primaries/elections have gotten down right dirty. We are experiencing that now here in Arizona. We have a gal who represents one of the biggest districts in Arizona & she has really done nothing for her constituents.
When she came to our town for a town hall, it was in the high 90's & she set up a card table under an umbrella outside a grocery store & then asked people to come up one at a time to talk to her personally. She had people who kept people far enough away that no one could hear the questions or her answers. Pretty soon people got disgusted & walked away. She had over 100 people standing in line waiting to speak to her & she told everyone that she would give us 90 minutes to ask our questions & get our answers.
She went to another small town east of here & ended up walking away when people asked her to speak up. The people were all crowded in a foyer … and really all they wanted was to hear he speak & she didn’t like that. She is being challenged by a Dr. Paul Gosar of Flagstaff & the things which have been said on the TV & radio are just plain underhanded.
We really need to get rid of this woman. Among other things she voted for … she voted for Obamacare … she said she did it for the people’s best interest in the district. She knows darn well that she represents many seniors. I imagine we feel about this woman (Ann Kirkpatrick) like you feel about Lincoln Davis. It would appear that all that she does is for Pelosi & the people in Dist 1 are getting sick & tired of her antics. I’ll contact the doctor’s headquarters tomorrow & I will see if I can volunteer to help out.
Right now I just don’t have any more money to donate to anyone else. Maybe later on, I can … but I make it a point only to give $5-10 at a time. That way, I can do my best to try to help everyone out.” (I included this comment because it was from Arizona—my addition.)
