House of Representatives bill 3 (H.R. 3) and Senate bill 91 (S. 91)

“I have some good news.
Two bills have been introduced in the House and Senate that you have reason to be excited about.
First, a bill to end taxpayer funding of abortion has been introduced in the House as H.R. 3.
This bill, known as the No Tax-Payer Funding for Abortion Act, was introduced by Representative Chris Smith January 20, and already has 173 cosponsors.
If this passes, it would knock out funding for Planned Parenthood and defund the abortion provisions in ObamaCare.
You and I must be prepared for a fight in the Senate as there are numerous Senators who are considered swing votes.
Second, Senators Rand Paul and Roger Wicker have teamed up and introduced a Life at Conception Act (S. 91), which has 12 cosponsors.
While this is a Life at Conception Act, it does not amend the Constitution.
Instead, this bill declares life to begin at conception and the unborn to be under the protection of the 14th Amendment.
If passed Roe v. Wade would be overturned and the unborn would gain the protection they need under the law. (This is very significant! In the Roe v. Wade decision, the majority opinion stated that if life begins at conception, then, of course, unborn babies are protected by the Constitution of the United States. Then, however, the author of the majority opinion lied and stated that “we don’t know when life begins.” He then obscenely erred on the side of MURDER. The Congress needs to define when life begins. Life begins at conception and, therefore, abortion is MURDER!!!
Ultimately, I would prefer a Constitutional Amendment to define life as beginning at conception. By definition, a Constitutional Amendment can not be unconstitutional. Also, an Amendment is much more difficult to undo. In the mean time, this law, when passed, is a great first step!!!—my addition)

These bills won’t pass easily.
It will be up to you and me to make sure these bills gain support and receive a vote.
