“Last week, I sent you this important update regarding the stark realization that our hard earned taxpayer dollars are funding abortions across the nation. Since then, RedState.com has revealed that, for the first time in 40 years, the Centers for Disease Control has not published their annual ‘Abortion Surveillance Report,’ which details how many legal abortions are performed in the United States every year. Planned Parenthood receives hundreds of millions of dollars in federal money and, without the Abortion Surveillance report, it will be much easier for the Obama Administration to hide the reality that our tax dollars are funding abortions. We must defund Planned Parenthood today. The fact that this report is no longer being published is another example of the lack of transparency in this Administration. We cannot continue to sit idly by while Uncle Sam forces us to pay for abortions. I hope that you will join me by signing my petition to defund Planned Parenthood today.

Fifty three million lives have been snuffed out at abortion clinics around our nation since 1973, and it is time that we put an end to these murders. Last week was the thirty-eight year anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision, and as a result we are reminded of the outrageous numbers of abortions occurring in the United States every year.
Planned Parenthood is a nationwide organization that supports and funds abortion clinics and operates on a billion dollar budget- and nearly a third of those funds come from the federal government! Your taxpayer dollars are being spent to pay for other people's abortions and we must defund them right now.
