House of Representatives Vote to Increase the Public Debt Limit

I’ve had this since right after the vote, which was on May, 31, 2011, and never posted it. So, I’m posting it today. Two significant items in relation to the vote. First, not a single Republican voted to raise the debt limit ceiling. Second, almost as many Democrats voted against raising the ceiling as voted for it.

Do you think some Democrats are getting the message? Do you think some Democrats are getting pressure from back in their home districts to CUT spending. Or, did they vote “no” for show—knowing the vote would fail so voting, in this instance, on the side of reason? Just look at who voted no: Hoyer [D], Pelosi [D], Rangel [D], Wasserman Schultz [D]

Whatever the reason. It was a vote against our spendoholic President even if not sincere! Keep track to see if they change to voting yes to raising the debt limit. Use this vote against them if they do change!
