The above video is from C-Span 2 which means the statements occurred on the floor of the Senate. The year is either 2005 or 2006 when the Republicans controlled the Senate. The debate is about a Constitutional Amendment to define marriage as being between one man and one woman. The Amendment would have passed in the Senate if some RINO Republicans like John McCain had not voted against it. As a result, we now have the Supreme Court considering if homosexuals somehow have the “right” to have faux “marriage!”

to other shocking criminal trials. Apparently, ABC’s disinterest extends only to cases that might put the pro-abortion agenda in a negative light.

GMA offered a full report on the Michael Jackson wrongful death case, another story on the case of a Utah doctor charged with murdering his wife and a third segment on the Amanda Knox retrial. This amounted to another eight minutes and 20 seconds of focusing on high profile court stories not involving an abortionist accused of murdering babies.

ABC’s new total is 117 minutes and 46 seconds. NBC and CBS on Monday and Tuesday avoided the story. Both networks have only allowed minor coverage

However, skimpy coverage is still better than ABC’s total silence. The network will find time, however, to devote a full hour to Amanda Knox on Tuesday night.

Last week, Barack Obama spoke in front of Planned Parenthood and offered a full-throated defense of abortion. The networks found no controversy over this. So, it’s of little surprise that ABC and others would ignore the horror stories coming out of the Gosnell trial. Bad news or divisive comments simply aren’t interesting for the pro-abortion media.

Planned Parenthood has already been connected to Kermit Gosnell

in one way—via a grisly abortion experiment he conducted on women back in the 1970s. Now a previous denial of the horrors has been exposed.

In February 2010, at the time Gosnell’s abortion clinic was raided by officials and shut down, PPSP CEO Dayle Steinberg told a local news outlet that the Planned Parenthood abortion facility has no knowledge of the horrors that happened at Gosnell’s center.

‘We would always encourage them to report it to the Department of Health,’ Steinberg said.

The comments make it clear that Planned Parenthood knew of the problems at Gosnell’s clinic despite the February 2010 contention that it did not. The blogger suggests the reason Planned Parenthood lied about not knowing is because, like Gosnell, the abortion business has a history of killing and injuring women in botched abortions, such as Tonya Reaves.

Half of Americans don’t know Planned Parenthood does abortions—let alone that it is the biggest abortion business in the United States.

That figure comes from a new Polling Company survey that the firm conducted for the National Right to Life Committee. It found that a substantial majority of registered voters say that they are familiar with Planned Parenthood and a majority has a favorable impression of the abortion giant.

But that favorable opinion might change if Americans actually knew Planned Parenthood is an abortion company. However, the same poll found that a majority did not know that Planned Parenthood performs abortions.

‘The polling reflects the results of Planned Parenthood’s campaign to publicly minimize and obfuscate its involvement with abortion.’ said David N. O’Steen, Ph.D., National Right to Life Executive Director.

O’Steen told LifeNews that his organization’s poll found 88% of respondents said that they were familiar with Planned Parenthood, with 41% saying that they were very familiar and 47% saying that they were somewhat familiar. Forty percent said they knew someone who had received services at a Planned Parenthood. Although 63% said that they had a favorable opinion of Planned Parenthood, including 38% of those who identified themselves as pro-life (Seriously! How uninformed!—my addition), 55% of those polled did not know that Planned Parenthood performs abortions.

The poll found 50 percent of pro-life respondents did not know that Planned Parenthood performs abortions. Of the 45% who knew that Planned Parenthood performs abortions, the majority greatly underestimated the number of abortions Planned Parenthood performs annually.

In 2011, the last year for which the data is available, Planned Parenthood performed 333,964 abortions,

or just over 27% of all abortions performed in the United States. Yet of the 45% who knew that Planned Parenthood performs abortions, only 14% (6% of the entire sample) knew that they perform over 300,000 abortions annually.

‘The American people have been duped into thinking that Planned Parenthood is nothing more than a ‘mainstream health care provider,’ when in reality, Planned Parenthood clinics are performing upwards of 27% of all abortions performed in the United States annually,’ added Carol Tobias, president of National Right to Life. ‘Regardless of what they say, for Planned Parenthood, abortion is big business (And VERY profitable! MURDER usually is! Or, at least, that is the goal!—my addition).’

Tobias said these results also mean that Planned Parenthood’s current degree of favorability is, for many, based on a false perception of an organization they think they know, but don’t.

Other results from the poll indicate that widespread knowledge of Planned Parenthood’s abortion business would result in a significant drop in its favorability, especially among pro-lifers.

‘For example, the poll found that 53% would either prohibit all abortions, or allow them in only life-of- mother cases or in cases of rape or incest, which is far removed from Planned Parenthood’s practice of performing abortion for any reason,’ NRLC said. ‘Planned Parenthood’s favorability would also likely suffer if there were widespread knowledge that some of their affiliates perform late abortions. The poll found that 64% would prohibit abortion after 20 weeks, a time at which there is substantial evidence that the unborn child can feel pain.’

The poll was conducted February 28 – March 3, 2013, of 1,003 registered voters with a margin of error of 3.1%.”
