“Powerful Pro-Life Video Will Leave You Speechless: What if She Has the Abortion? What if She Doesn’t?

Starting last year, the National Right to Life Video Contest has offered pro-life youth the opportunity to be honored for their creative expression of the pro-life message. Last year’s winning video submission was premiered at the 2013 National Right to Life Convention in Dallas, Texas, and it truly left the crowd speechless.

This year’s winning video had the same effect, but this time we were fortunate enough to have the creators of this terrific short film present with us. The convention attendees gave these three kids from Texas a lengthy standing ovation for their work. We could not have been happier to have them there with us and on the side of Life (Texas Christian values!—my addition).

The winning video is called ‘Would You Take Action?’, and it’s on the NRL YouTube channel to view anytime together with last year’s winner.

The makers of the video were Christian Quincena, Jeremiah Velasco, and Daisy Baez. These three also had the distinction of having won the video contest for their local chapter, Montgomery County Right to Life which is outside of Houston, Texas.

When receiving the award for the local video contest at the Dinner for Life in Conroe, Texas, Christian Quincena said: ‘I’m ecstatic to have the opportunity at such a young age for my video to be shown in Hollywood … I mean I’m sitting here today, a few days later, still finding it unreal that I actually won on the national level. It really is a blessing.’

Quincena also said: ‘Precious life should not be subject to such terrible abortion methods (Should not be subject to any abortion/MURDER method! Abortion should be illegal under all circumstances! EVERY abortion is MURDER!—my addition). When I start to think how important pro-life is to me, I simply begin to think of my parents and their decision to have me (The most danger place in America is in a mother’s womb!—my addition).’

I know that the NRL Video Contest will continue to draw out the natural talents of America’s youth who are increasingly pro-life and who are looking for creative outlets to express it.

The Contest is open to any amateur film maker/student ages 15 through 25 (Get your camera! Get involved!—my addition). Participants do not need to be film students to submit an entry. The film can be from 30 seconds to 3 minutes in length.

National Right to Life selects one winning submission. The winner receives free registration for National Right to Life Convention and 2 tickets for both the Annual Prayer Breakfast and Closing Banquet at the Convention. The 5 finalists will receive free entry into the LifeFest Film Festival in Hollywood, California.

It’s simple, fun to do, and most importantly, it makes a difference! Submissions for next year’s Contest are due by March 31, 2015. You can find more information at: nrlconvention.com/video-contest.
