Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz responded to a challenge from Republican presidential candidate Rand Paul today to answer the question of whether or not she would support aborting a 7-pound unborn baby.

‘Here’s the deal—we always seen [sic—my addition] to have the debate waaaaay over here on what are the exact details of exemptions (Senator Paul, if you are really pro-life, that is an easy question to answer and it is a question that should be answered! The correct answer is that there are no exceptions! MURDER is MURDER! GOD did not say “Thou shalt not MURDER except for ….! If pro-lifers used the correct language instead of the language of the Left, they would be better off! EVERY abortion is MURDER! Every last one of them! EVERY abortion MURDERS a person!—my addition) , or when it (What starts?—my addition) starts,’ said Paul, waving his hands to the left. ‘Why don’t we ask the DNC (Democrat National Committee!—my addition): Is it okay to kill a seven-pound baby in the uterus? You go back and you ask Debbie Wasserman Schultz if she’s OK with killing a seven-pound baby that is not born yet (Of course she is! All Democrats are or the Democrat Party would not support them for Congress! It has to do with money and getting people involved in the cause! The Left press doesn’t ask Democrats because they know the answer and they agree with the answer! You are not going to get the press to agree with you so take it for what it is worth! Tell them you are pro-life without exception and without apology! That they will print because they think it will hurt you! If you then use that in a commercial and explain to the public why it is without exception you will have a majority of the public and they will vote for you! All you need is one more vote than the opposition! You do not need to be all things to all people! You can not be! Even President Obama, when running for the presidency the first time, lied about his position on abortion because he knew it would hurt him!—my addition). Wasserman Schultz responded, making it clear she wants no limits from government on aborting (MURDERING!—my addition) babies up to birth:

‘Here’s an answer,’ said Schultz. ‘I support letting women and their doctors make this decision (Making a decision to MURDER her own unborn is not between a doctor and a mother! It is a government question! The purpose of government is to protect the people! Being in the womb does NOT change that any more than being in a hospital bed would! This is most certainly a government issue just as protecting a two year old from his mother and her doctor would be!—my addition) without government getting involved. Period (This from a Democrat that wants government involved in everything EXCEPT for protecting life, liberty, and property!—my addition). End of story. Now your turn, Senator Paul. We know you want to allow government officials like yourself to make this decision for women—but do you stand by your opposition to any exceptions, even when it comes to rape (Is the child guilty of rape?—my addition), incest (Is the child guilty of incest?—my addition), or life of the mother (This is straw man argument!—my addition)? Or do we just have different definitions of ‘personal liberty (Is it personal liberty to MURDER your own child? I dare say not! Ask GOD if MURDER under any circumstance is liberty! You Ms. Schultz are in bondage to sin!—my addition)’? And I’d appreciate it if you could respond without ’shushing’ me.’

A pro-life women’s group, the Susan B. Anthony List, says Paul is right on.

‘The current abortion debate is centered on a highly reasonable proposal to protect children after 20 weeks, or five months of pregnancy—the point at which they can feel excruciating pain. The entire GOP field is unified in support of this legislation, which has already passed in fourteen states,’ said Susan B. Anthony List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. ‘While every potential Republican nominee is on record, potential Democratic candidates such as Hillary Clinton are silent. Do they support this compassionate, common sense limit on abortion or do they stand by the Democratic Party platform: abortion on-demand, up until the moment of birth, paid for by taxpayers (They do!—my addition)?’

Dannenfelser pointed out how a November 2014 poll from Quinnipiac found that 60 percent of Americans, including 56 percent of Independents and 46 percent of Democrats, support the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. To date, 14 states have enacted Pain-Capable laws.

A National Right to Life Committee poll found that 63 percent of Americans, and 70 percent of women, support a ban on post-fetal pain abortion. The same poll also found that American women, by an overwhelming majority of 62-27 percent, would be more likely to vote for lawmakers who support this bill (So let’s campaign on it and ending ALL MURDERS! If a candidate can not make the pro-life argument, is he/she pro-life?—my addition).”
