Nancy Gertner, a retired federal judge and a professor at Harvard Law School, writing an opinion piece for the Boston Globe, is morally outraged that the jury in the trial of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev in the Boston Marathon bombing trial unanimously chose the death penalty instead of life imprisonment for the multi-murderer and terrorist.

Here’s some of what she wrote:

‘We all chose death for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. Make no mistake about it. The death penalty law was passed in our name. Attorney General Holder and US Attorney Carmen Ortiz are employed by the government we elected (I did not elect them either time!—my addition). They sought death for Tsarnaev for the victims, including the Richard family, whose tragedy they highlighted, even though the Richards were opposed to Tsarnaev’s death (I don’t think they are the ones who are legally obligated to make the decision!—my addition). The government sought it for Boston—also a victim—even though the majority of the citizens of the city opposed it (I don’t think they are the ones who are legally obligated to make the decision!—my addition). The verdict in the United States v. Tsarnaev was literally brought in our name (Again! Not my name! I did not vote for this Administration!—my addition).’

Scott Larson, a records manager who works near the finish line where the bombs went off and killed and maimed many people said he ‘was shocked’ that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev got the death penalty. The New York Times reported, ‘To many, the death sentence almost feels like a blot on the city’s collective consciousness (How many people of Boston were interviewed?—my addition).’

The liberal media continued to express outrage that a mass murderer got the death penalty (Typical of the liberal media and Leftists in general!—my addition):

‘To the amazement of people elsewhere, Bostonians overwhelmingly opposed condemning the bomber, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, to death. The most recent poll, conducted last month for The Boston Globe, found that just 15 percent of city residents wanted him executed. Statewide, 19 percent did (That seems out of sync with twelve jurors from the area all agreeing to the death penalty? Could it be because they heard all the testimony and the others did not?—my addition).’

Unfortunately, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s execution, if it ever happens, will be medicinal. There won’t be a hanging or firing squad. He’ll get a concoction of drugs that will end his life with mercy, something he and his dead brother did not show either before or after their terroristic murders (They were Islamic terrorists! Just hearing and reading the atrocities committed by ISIS shows that mercy is not a part of their terror plans!—my addition).

The same cities and the same newspapers—Boston Globe and New York Times—and the Senators of these states support the death penalty for innocent unborn babies (Of course! Isn’t it utterly reprehensible? They want mercy for a convicted terrorist but almost gleefully support and promote the MURDER of innocent unborn babies! Many of them from conception to the day they would come out of the womb! Further, they have the audacity to claim that the mothers have the right to MURDER their own innocent unborn babies! What is wrong with this scenario? What is wrong with these people? Are their consciences so seared? And they seem not to recognize the total absurdity of the two positions!—my addition). These Bostonians and New Yorkers are horrified that a mass murderer is getting the death penalty, but they have no regard for the innocent unborn babies that are killed daily (MURDERED daily!—my addition) in their states.

Consider Nancy Gertner who writes above in opposing the death penalty for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev but ‘represented abortion rights groups and the American Civil Liberties Union’ when she was working as a lawyer. Here’s how she ends her anti-death penalty article:

‘What a message it would have sent—in our name—if the jury or the prosecutors had chosen life (CHOSEN LIFE! How utterly hypocritical!—that we are not Russia, or Saudi Arabia, or China, that we don’t kill no matter how fair the trial, that our government cannot kill in our name. Not in this case. Not ever.’

But the government kills (Sanctioned the MURDER of! The members of the Court and all who support and promote the abortion/MURDER of unborn babies have blood flowing over their hands! The blood of the innocent!—my addition) innocent victims every day in our name (Not in my name!—my addition). It’s called abortion(/MURDER!—my addition). You may recall that many liberals are willing to kill the unborn up to the time of birth, and some are willing to apply the death penalty after birth (Including our present President and he wants to export it to other countries as well!—my addition). Democrat Party Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz defends all abortions no matter how far an unborn baby is in development (So do most if not all Democrats in Congress!—my addition).

There are even those who believe that ‘post-natal abortions’ or ‘after-birth abortions’ should be legal. Alberto Giubilini and Francesca Minerva, in the Journal of Medical Ethics (Misnomer!—my addition), ‘claim that killing a newborn could be ethically permissible in all the circumstances where abortion would be (Which means NONE at all! Ask GOD if abortion/MURDER is ever ethical!—my addition). Such circumstances include cases where the newborn has the potential to have an (at least) acceptable life, but the well-being of the family is at risk (Well-being of the family? What of the very life of the child?—my addition).’

The difference between abortion and the death penalty is that the death penalty is for people who have murdered somebody. In an abortion, the unborn baby is innocent, and yet is dismembered in the sanctuary of his or her mother’s womb in full compliance with the law (Not the law! The government sanctioning of it!—my addition) and often with the full support of the anti-death penalty crowd.”

When I started writing my first blog, I wrote about this contrasting the death penalty for convicted murderers and the MURDER of unborn babies. This was back when I allowed comments. One person blasted me for being pro-life for babies but supporting the death penalty for convicted murderers. Of course the writer was pro-abortion/MURDER and opposed to the death penalty. This however is how out of touch with reality they are. I’m not for the death penalty. I spent the first paragraph of the article explaining why I was opposed to the death penalty. The critic completely ignored that! They are that irrational and that dedicated to MURDERING unborn babies!
