I’m changing what I had planned to write about tonight. In the Peoria Journal Star Thursday, November 8, 2007, page A5, a story had the following headline—“Candidates split Christian right.” One of the main points of the story was that Pat Robertson has endorsed for President—Republican candidate Rudy Giuliani. Rudy Giuliani has had a long history of supporting and promoting the MURDER of unborn babies and the SIN of homosexual behavior. It seems that Pat Robertson has either forgotten or is ignoring the clear proclamation of JESUS that you can NOT serve two MASTERS.
“‘Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.’” Matthew 7: 15 (NIV) Is Pat Robertson now placing his faith in the MURDEROUS Rudy Giuliani?
Pat Robertson can endorse whom he chooses. Pat Robertson DOES NOT speak for the Christian community. Everything that has been said in previous posts in relation to Senator Barack Obama is just as true and relevant in relation to Pat Robinson and Rudy Giuliani. I can not speak for the Christian community, but I think I am NOT alone when I say that I will NOT vote for a political candidate who supports and promotes the MURDER of unborn babies and SINFUL homosexual practices just because he carries a Republican label and is not a Democrat.
Let me remind the Republican Party of some of their own history. The Republican Party became a viable political party because the two major parties of that time period would NOT speak out against slavery. As horrible and sinful as slavery was, it was NOT as horrible and sinful as MURDERING your own unborn babies. If the Republican Party will not speak out in support of the unborn, there are those who will even if it means forming new alliances to help lead the nation back from its own SINS.
I don’t think the Republican Party can win the Presidency without the support of those who are opposed to MURDERING unborn babies. My question is: Is the Republican Party willing to risk the possibility of a mass defection of those who oppose the MURDER of unborn babies by nominating a candidate who supports and promotes the MURDER of innocent unborn children?
THE BIBLE, THE WORD OF GOD, clearly condemns homosexual behavior and the MURDER of unborn babies as SIN!!! Any politician, whether or not he or she claims to be Christian, is in SIN when he or she supports and/or promotes SIN. Any Christian is in SIN when he or she supports a political candidate who supports and promotes SIN. “Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn’t do it, sins.” James 4: 17 (NIV)
Furthermore, it is a horrendous error for any Christian or anyone else for that matter to look upon the government (federal, state, or local) as their savior. It can’t and won’t happen!!! Also, it is a horrendous error for any Christian or anyone else for that matter to look upon any politician, whether or not he or she claims to be a Christian, as their savior. It can’t and won’t happen!!! Finally, it is a horrendous error for any Christian or anyone else for that matter to look upon any mere man, whether or not he or she claims to be a prophet from GOD, to have received divine inspiration from GOD, or to have received a special book from GOD as their savior. It can’t and won’t happen!!!
There is only one SAVIOR for mankind—JESUS, the SON of GOD, the CHRIST, the MESSIAH. Anyone else or anything else is an imposter and a fraud.
