4,872 Letters and Emails Sent So Far
A deal seems to have been reached on the debt ceiling and it falls well short of addressing the size and scope of the federal government and does little to curb Washington’s spending addiction. While it is far from ideal it does not exacerbate the problem by raising taxes and forces a floor vote in both the House and Senate on the balanced budget amendment.
Congressman Allen West summed it up on his Twitter page by saying: ‘Before conservatives go criticizing this agreement consider what would have happened if Pelosi, Reid and Obama were still in control.’
In 2010 we sent a new breed of politician to Washington with a mandate to stand on principle and they did. From their minority position they stood up to the establishment and at least forced a deal that didn't make our dire situation any worse.
We are proud of the Tea Party Caucus and their conservative allies. We also appreciate that Speaker Boehner passed Cut, Cap, and Balance and trust that he will be part of the solution after sweeping Tea Party victories in 2012.
Even the liberal media has been forced to admit that without the tea party movement and the hundreds of thousands of you that contacted Congress to voice your opinion to cut spending, that this debate would have never happened. Nearly every analyst was forced to point out that the reason it was taking the Congress so long to come to an agreement was that the tea party movement forced Congress to eliminate earmarks from bills. Earmarks were the standard tool of corrupt politicians to promise goodies out of the US treasury for pork projects of a congressman or senator in return for their vote. Poor, poor babies.
We have already changed the debate and after 2012 we will change the direction. We must keep the pressure on. Send a letter today to your representative and demand that they get on board with serious spending cuts and a balanced budget amendment or ‘We The People’ will vote them out!”

Only direct CUTS to the 2011-2012 fiscal year budget are REAL CUTS! CUT the budget! If not, VOTE out the SPENDOHOLICS!!!
There is NOTHING in the Constitution that grants authority to the federal government to spend money for education or to build sidewalks for a city or to do a lot of other things that the federal government is NOW doing! If the federal government would stop spending money in unauthorized areas, balancing the federal budget would be much easier and would not CORRUPT the behavior of so many within the United States. IT IS TIME TO STOP SPENDING!!! IT IS TIME TO DRASTICALLY CUT THE FEDERAL BUDGET!!!
