They did it. The producers of the Gosnell movie have raised the $2.1 million they needed to make the Hollywood-style film that will tell the story of the gruesome abortion practitioner.

The campaign reached its goal four days ahead of schedule thanks to a unified effort by pro-life advocates and almost 24,000 people who agreed to fund the movie. Proving its grassroots appeal, most of the 23,471 donors contributed $100 or less while only 72 people claimed the perks from donating over $1,000 ($2,100,000 divided by 23,471 = about $90 per person—my addition).

He is the abortion practitioner who killed babies in live-birth abortions that were more akin to infanticide than abortion (If they were MURDERED outside the womb it was infanticide! Although the Abortion/MURDERERS and their supporters would argue otherwise. Strange thing. MURDERERS are also liars!—my addition). The media virtually ignored Kermit Gosnell until the pro-life movement launched a concerned effort to call them out on their bias during the early stages of his trial for murder (And even then the coverage was sparse in comparison to the crimes!—my addition).

Now, Gosnell is prison, having been convicted of murder in the deaths of multiple babies, though he was accused of killing thousands of viable babies. Still, one report from Gallup showed a large percentage of Americans still have no idea who Gosnell is and what he did (Not surprising given the lack of coverage in the mainstream media!—my addition). A new crowd-funded campaign for a Gosnell movie hopes to change that.

Ann McElhinney and Phelim McAleer, the directors behind Not Evil Just Wrong and Fracknation are behind the Gosnell movie project. Their made-for TV movie is based on real life Grand Jury testimony with actors to tell the Gosnell story.

In an email to LifeNews, they thanked supporters of the movie for their donations:

‘The Gosnell Movie has raised $2.1m and will be made! We are so incredibly grateful to you for getting us here. It’s been a long road and it was your ongoing support that carried us through,’ they said.

‘We are delighted, but not done working just yet! The campaign is open until midnight on Monday the 12th. We’ve got the minimum money we needed, but we would still like more people to join in. So we’re announcing a stretch goal—we want at least 30,000 people to become part of this historic project. They don’t need to donate much, even a dollar will do. And needless to say, all these dollars will go towards hiring better talent to make this movie even greater,’ they added.

They launched a historic crowd-sourcing campaign to fund the film, Gosnell, through Indiegogo that was successful thanks to the help of some notable pro-life celebrities like Kevin Sorbo and despite the fact that Kickstarter initially kicked the movie off ts web site. (Bad decision by kickstarter! It could have been a part of history. Now, it will be remembered as the company that refused to make history!—my addition)

As the directors say:

‘Dr. Kermit Gosnell is the most prolific serial killer in American History, but almost no one knows who he is.

The Grand Jury investigating Kermit Gosnell’s horrific crimes said this:

‘This case is about a doctor who killed babies … What we mean is that he regularly and illegally delivered live, viable, babies in the third trimester of pregnancy—and then murdered these newborns by severing their spinal cords with scissors …. Over the years, many people came to know that something was going on here. But no one put a stop to it. (Report of the Grand Jury)’

Gosnell is serving several life sentences but the media basically ignored his crimes and his trial. They ignored the facts that emerged from the trial, like the fact that the babies he murdered suffered terribly. Here is what a neonatologist told the Grand Jury:

The neonatologist testified … ‘If a baby moves, it is alive. Equally troubling, it feels a ‘tremendous amount of pain’ when its spinal cord is severed. So, the fact that Baby Boy A. continued to move after his spinal cord was cut with scissors means that he did not die instantly. Maybe the cord was not completely severed. In any case, his few moments of life were spent in excruciating pain. (Report of the Grand Jury)’

The mainstream media or Hollywood don’t think this is a story. Even though Gosnell killed more people than Gary Ridgeway, John Wayne Gacey, The Zodiac Killer and Ted Bundy combined (Yes, but to the Left it was and is an acceptable form of MURDER! Therefore, no story worth telling! It would only do harm to the message and the message is everything! And people keep voting for and supporting these promoters of MURDER!—my addition). In a 30 year killing spree, it is thought he killed 1000s of babies. And that wasn’t a national story?’”
