I will not be continuing my Creationism posts today. I do plan to return to them soon.

Then, I plan to answer the response about Iraq. I am sorry for the change in plans. Plans, in reality, often are altered for one reason or another. “The best laid plans … often go astray.” Thank you for your understanding and patience.

How many unborn toddlers were murdered today because of the humanistic, paganish, barbaric decisions of the United States Supreme Court?

The following short article was printed in the “Faith & Values” section of the Peoria Journal Star page C6 on February 16, 2008. The results of this survey are something that I don’t think most readers did see or are going to see in the national section of the newspaper. It would probably be too depressing for all those evolutionists who support the lie of evolution. After all, evolution has basically been the only theory taught in the public schools for years and years and still only about one quarter of the respondents totally accept the fallacy of the evolution theory.

A word of caution though is in order. As I’ve said many times before, I don’t give much credence to surveys unless I know the methodology used, the questions asked, in this case how they defined evolution, who were surveyed, how they were selected, and many other variables which are seldom if ever given in the actual newspaper article. We for some reason are just to accept that the process was done correctly. That being said, the results as given are interesting and I’m presenting them here for your information.

“According to the most recent survey on evolution—released in August 2006—by the Pew Research Center and the Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life, 42 percent of respondents directly rejected evolution, choosing the option that humans and other living things have existed in their present form since the creation.

About half (51 percent) believe that evolution has occurred, but many of these (21 percent) think it was guided by a supreme being or higher power, a notion that roughly describes the views of the ‘intelligent design’ movement. (Not the intelligent design authors I have read but then I have only read a couple—my addition.) Just 26 percent believe in evolution through natural selection.” (Yes, I know. If you add 21% and 26% the result is 47%. So, what happened to the other 4% of the 51%? I don’t know—my addition.)

Would the evolutionists declare that this is just another example of our failing school system? Will they say we need to teach the concepts better? We need to teach the concepts longer? We need to teach the concepts more thoroughly? We need to call the people who don’t believe in evolution hayseed hicks who are totally ignorant? Isn’t that evolutionists first reaction—name calling?

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis 1: 1 (NIV)

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” Genesis 1: 27 (NIV)

(JESUS speaking—my addition) “‘When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.’” Matthew 25: 31-34 (NIV)

(JESUS speaking—my addition) “Some Pharisees came and tested him by asking, ‘Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?’

‘What did Moses command you?’ he replied.

They said, ‘Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of divorce and send her away.’

‘It was because your hearts were hard that Moses wrote you this law,’ Jesus replied. ‘But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’ For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.’” Mark 10: 2-9 (NIV)

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.

Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.” John 1: 1-5 (NIV)

“The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.

Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.” Romans 1: 18-25 (NIV)

“By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.” Hebrews 11: 3 (NIV)
