Public opinion polls and the Presidential election

My book—The Black Sword: The Secret U.S. Army in Vietnam—is available by mail (not yet in book stores). See post on July 31, 2008 entitled The Black Sword.

I suggest you check out the following website if you are a policy holder of Farmers Insurance Group or thinking about having them insure you in any capacity: www.farmersinsurancegroupsucks.com

Based upon past historical data: 3,287+ UNBORN BABY MURDERS have occurred in the last 24 hours in the United States. See my post “BABY HOLOCAUST” posted January 22, 2008.

I will not be continuing my Creationism posts today. I do plan to return to them soon.

Then, I plan to answer the response about Iraq. I am sorry for the change in plans. Plans, in reality, often are altered for one reason or another. “The best laid plans … often go astray.” Thank you for your understanding and patience.

How many unborn toddlers were murdered today because of the humanistic, paganish, barbaric decisions of the United States Supreme Court?

Up until this week, most public opinion polls, that I have seen or heard the results of, had Barack Obama leading with leads as high as a 6% difference. This week according to CNN’s poll of polls (which is an average of a compilation of polls—it was bound to happen), the election is virtually dead even with a 1% separation.

So, what is the significance of this latest poll? Like all the others, not much. In reality, even with a perfectly drawn poll, it is too early to give it or any other much credence.

However, based on past experience, expect the following events to occur. (This is a generalization and may not actually occur although it normally does.) Since the Democratic Party’s National Convention is next week, Barack Obama will get a boost from the hoopla of the convention and pull away from John McCain to some extent. After the Republican Party’s National Convention, John McCain will get a boost from the hoopla of the convention and pull closer to Senator Obama but not by as much because the libertine press will label the convention a “disaster,” or “disappointing,” or some other such negative term.

Over the following weeks there will be varying variations in the polls usually based upon events or situational reasons—i.e. one of the candidates might make a perceived blunder of one type or another. After each of the Presidential debates, the libertine press will proclaim Barack Obama the clear winner of the debate (unless Senator Obama makes a major blunder in a debate that even the press can’t ignore) and he will pull ahead in the public opinion polls.

As the days come closer and closer to the day of the election, the polls will show a tighter and tighter race. Immediately before the election, it will be closer still and some will say the election is too close to call. After the election, the supporters of the losing candidate will declare that if the election had only be held a few days later or earlier, their candidate would have won the election.

Of course, all this is predicated on no major, significant event occurring that will alter the perception of the public—i.e. the capture of Osama bin Laden—or a major, major blunder by one of the candidates—i.e. declaring the economy has never been better. However, remember this. The ONLY “poll” that counts is the VOTE of the people on November 4th. Remember also, that Senator Clinton was considered to be the certain winner of the Democratic Party nomination and, until the New Hampshire primary, no poll had Senator John McCain higher than third. (I didn’t go back and check the accuracy of this statement but I believe it should be accurate. I do know that some in the press were declaring John McCain’s campaign dead in the water.)

In short, the result will be determined by the vote of the people on Election Day not by a public opinion poll. Remember: no poll has ever voted.
