Look how federal government is targeting 4 million students

The federal government has given a nearly $1.5-million grant to the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network, or GLSEN, to train teachers on how to support homosexual students and be ‘advocates for change’ in their schools.
GLSEN has announced that it received a 5-year, renewable grant in the amount of $285,000 annually from the Department of Adolescent and School Health at the federal Center for Disease Control and Prevention, or CDC. The grant’s scope is to target school districts across the country with a program to increase the number of ‘safe spaces’ for lesbian, ‘gay,’ bisexual and transgender, or LGBT, students.
GLSEN states its goal is to target 20 school districts to train 14,500 school personnel, who in turn impact 4 million students.
‘It is abundantly clear that LGBT youths’ experience of bias and violence at school contributes to significant threats to their health, academic success and psychological well-being,’ said GLSEN Executive Director Eliza Byard in a statement. ‘Truly safe spaces … are vital to these students’ health, success in school and life prospects.’
Critics, however, claim the program’s aim is more about ‘fast-tracking’ students into the homosexual lifestyle.
‘Schools can punish bullies without endorsing ‘gay’ behavior,’ argues Mission America, an organization that researches and reports on social issues affecting Christians in America. ‘This is child corruption, funded by taxpayers.’
‘We can only hope few schools agree to this scheme for fast-tracking youth into homosexuality and gender confusion,’ Linda Harvey, president and founder of Mission America, told WND. ‘Our federal government, through this grant, essentially agrees with the mythology that some humans are ‘born gay.’ They are therefore willing to spend hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars during a national fiscal crisis to defy parental rights, Christian moral tradition, and sound health practices.
‘Once again, this administration is demonstrating its destructive priorities,’ Harvey continued. ‘If this GLSEN program is implemented, impressionable teens will suffer for it. I am calling on Congress to put a halt to this grant.’
According to a GLSEN statement, the CDC grant will fund ‘Train the Trainer (TOT) programs based on GLSEN’s Safe Space Kit, providing guidance, information and resources to assist in effecting policy enhancements.’
The ‘Safe Space Kit,’ in turn, is described by the group as featuring a 42-page ‘Guide to Being an Ally to LGBT Students’ booklet that ‘provides concrete strategies for supporting LGBT students, educating about anti-LGBT bias and advocating for changes in your school. The Kit also shows how to assess the school’s climate, policies and practices and outlines ways to advocate for change inside the school.’
‘We are proud to contribute to federal efforts to support safe, healthy and respectful learning environments for all students,’ Byard said. ‘This grant is an exciting new element of GLSEN’s long-standing partnership with federal agencies in the common project of improving U.S. schools.’
Α GLSEN representative told WND that the 20 targeted school districts are among the largest districts in the nation identified with the CDC’s DASH program, but did not have a full listing immediately available.”
Now, the question is can and should schools limit bullying (bullying will never be completely stopped) without promoting the homosexual agenda. The answer, of course, is yes! Good schools have limited bullying for a long time. This program will do NOTHING to prevent bullying in bad schools. What it does do is to continue the promotion of homosexual behavior as if such immoral behavior is normal and should be as acceptable as any other behavior. Of course, such support for SIN is SIN itself. And we the people are financing this support of deviant behavior during a time when the federal government is borrowing 40% of every dollar spent!!!

Family leaders in California have thrown a wrench in the public school system’s newest ‘gay’ indoctrination plan, with the filing of the paperwork for a referendum on SB48, approved by the Democrats in the legislature and signed by Gov. Jerry Brown, a Democrat, in recent days.
An official with one of the organizations working on the plan, Brad Dacus of Pacific Justice Institute,
http://www.pacificjustice.org/
told WND the filing puts the law on hold until it is determined whether Californians want to vote on the plan.
‘We have been seeing a groundswell of opposition to the enactment of SB48, and now it is time to act,’ Dacus said. ‘We encourage everyone to visit StopSB48.com to learn more and join the coalition. ”

“‘This effort will require us all to sacrifice and work together. We cannot afford to stay silent or stand on the sidelines. Californians are extremely tolerant, but we draw the line when history is revised to please a special interest group,’ he said.
Karen England of Capitol Resource Family Impact,
http://www.capitolresource.org/
who is working with the coalition on the referendum, said, ‘Gov. Brown refused to listen to the calls of pro-family voters asking him to veto SB48. The bill costs too much and it goes too far. He ignored the majority in our state who object to the implementation of this controversial, objectionable, and poor public school policy. The people of the state want a vote on SB48. CRFI encourages everyone to join the fight in stopping SB48.’
She said when a title and summary are approved, family groups will have about three months to collect 500,000 signatures.
The law requires schools to teach ‘gay’ and ‘lesbian’ involvement in history, but only from a positive perspective. (How IMMORAL!!! How SICK!!!—my addition) It bans any statement, fact or information that would reflect ‘adversely’ on those who choose an alternative sexual lifestyle. (It is a perverted, deviant, immoral sexual BEHAVIOR!!!—my addition)
At the RescueYourChild.com
http://rescueyourchild.com/The_Problem.html
website, Randy Thomasson, president of SaveCalifornia.com,
http://savecalifornia.com/
outlined the other laws in California that also contribute to the agenda:
1) SB 543, signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2010, ‘allows school staff to remove children ages 12 and up from government schools and taken off-campus for counseling sessions, without parental permission or involvement. The purpose is to permit pro-homosexuality teachers and administrators to remove sexually confused children in 6th grade and up from campus and take them to pro-homosexuality counselors who will encourage them to embrace the homosexual lifestyle.’
2) ACR 82, approved by the California Legislature in 2010, ‘creates de facto ‘morality-free zones’ at participating schools (pre-kindergarten through public universities). Schools that become official ‘Discrimination-Free Zones’ will ‘enact procedures’ (including mandatory counseling) against students from pre-kindergarten on up who are accused of ‘hate,’ ‘intolerance,’ or ‘discrimination’.’ What is the hate? Peacefully speaking or writing against the unnatural lifestyles choices of homosexuality and bisexuality. (Calling evil good and good evil!!!—my addition)
3) SB 572, signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2009, establishes ‘Harvey Milk Day’ in K-12 California public schools and community colleges. In classrooms, schools, and school districts that participate, children will now be taught to admire the life and values of late homosexual activist and teen predator Harvey Milk of San Francisco the month of May. (Teen predator??? No big deal to those who support the homosexual agenda!!!—my addition)
4) SB 777, signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2007, prohibits all public school instruction and every school activity from ‘promoting a discriminatory bias’ against (effectively requiring positive depictions of) transsexuality, bisexuality, and homosexuality to schoolchildren as young as five years old. SB 777 means children will be taught their ‘gender’ is a matter of choice. (Which is NONSENSE!!!—my addition)
5) AB 394, signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2007, effectively promotes transsexual, bisexual, and homosexual indoctrination of students, parents, and teachers via ‘anti-harassment’ and ‘anti-discrimination’ materials, to be publicized in classrooms and assemblies, posted on walls, incorporated into curricula on school websites, and distributed in handouts to take home.
6) SB 71, signed by Gov. Gray Davis in 2003 and implemented in 2008 through the new ‘sexual health’ standards approved by appointees of Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and State Superintendent of Public Instruction Jack O’Connell, teaches children as young as 5th grade that any consensual sexual behavior is ‘safe’ as long as you ‘protect’ yourself with a condom, and teaches children that homosexuality, bisexuality and transsexuality is ‘normal.’ (Government endorsed LIES!!!—my addition)
7) AB 1785, signed by Gov. Gray Davis in 2000, required the California State Board of Education to alter the state curriculum frameworks to include and require ‘human relations education’ for children in K-12 public schools, with the aim of ‘fostering an appreciation of the diversity of California’s population and discouraging the development of discriminatory attitudes and practices,’ according to the state legislative counsel’s digest.
8) AB 537, signed by Gov. Gray Davis in 1999, permits teachers and students to openly proclaim and display their homosexuality, bisexuality or transsexuality, even permitting cross-dressing teachers, school employees and student on campus, in classrooms, and in restrooms.
But SB48 takes the state even a step beyond #its demand that students in public schools every year honor Harvey Milk, a homosexual activist and reported sexual predator, as well as an advocate for Jim Jones, leader of the massacred hundreds in Jonestown, Guyana.
In honoring Milk, schools are advocating for the acceptance of what Milk sought: the entire homosexual, bisexual and cross-dressing agenda; a refusal to acknowledge sexually transmitted diseases spread by the behavior; his behavior as ‘a sexual predator of teenage boys, most of them runaways with drug problems’; advocacy for multiple sexual relationships at one time; and ‘lying to get ahead’; according to SaveCalifornia.com, a leading statewide pro-family organization promoting moral virtues for the common good.
A 1982 biography of Milk tells of a 16-year-old named McKinley, who ‘was looking for some kind of father figure.’
‘At 33, Milk was launching a new life, though he could hardly have imagined the unlikely direction toward which his new lover would pull him,’ the book says.
It also states, ‘It would be to boyish-looking men in their late teens and early 20’s that Milk would be attracted for the rest of his life.’
The consequences of refusing to accept the state’s beliefs about homosexuality can be devastating, SaveCalifornia documents.
In a report from Thomasson, he said he got an e-mail from a parent whose daughter had objected to attending a ‘gay straight alliance rally to honor Harvey Milk at Moreno Valley High School.’
Said the e-mail, according to Thomasson, ‘You were right our daughter was told she had to attend a gay straight alliance rally to honor Harvey Milk. … She shared she was a Christian with the teacher and only after she saw Lauren was clearly upset about going to this rally did she issue her a hall pass. She was persecuted by another student but made it out of the class. I picked her up and she was very upset. How many other Christians were forced to go to this rally?’
The account from 16-year-old Lauren provided more details, Thomasson reported.
‘When she walked into her U.S. History class Monday, May 23, she saw the words ‘Gay-Straight Alliance Assembly—Harvey Milk’ on the blackboard. Her teacher, obviously a pro-homosexuality agenda sympathizer, told Lauren and every other student walking in to go to the assembly. Lauren protested, but the teacher didn’t listen to her at first. Lauren again said she didn’t want to go, and finally the teacher exempted her, but only her,’ he said.
‘Lauren got out of that one, but her fellow students were corralled into the brainwashing assembly, like cattle going to slaughter, where the homosexual sponsor of the on-campus Gay-Straight Alliance told them how they must support the homosexual-bisexual-transsexual agenda of Harvey Milk. Later, a Muslim classmate told Lauren she wished she had refused to go to the assembly, too.’
The report described how the teacher, several days earlier, had ‘played several minutes of the R-rated Milk film, which showed two homosexual men in bed together.’
‘Parents, realize there was NO advance parental notification of this happening or the opportunity to opt out your children. Even more, realize there was no parent permission sought, no opt-in form to sign. No, Harvey Milk sexual indoctrination, and other sexual indoctrination implemented, because of other perverse laws are being done behind parents’ backs and despite parents’ objections,’ Thomasson’s report said.
WND previously reported what happened to one irate parent who found out about a public school’s sexual indoctrination of his children and demanded changes—he spent the night in jail.
David Parker, who brought a case against Estabrook Elementary school in Lexington, Massachusetts, several years ago, eventually ended up withdrawing his children from the school because of the harassment they endured because of the dispute.
An appellate court said the indoctrination was appropriate because same-sex ‘marriages’ are legal in Massachusetts following the work of former Gov. Mitt Romney and others, and the refusal of the U.S. Supreme Court to intervene.
That left the school district not only teaching behaviors the Parker family considered immoral but deliberately refusing to tell them when it would be taught, so they could keep their children home.
Parker noted the ruling says teachers ‘have a constitutional right to coercively indoctrinate little children [into whatever they choose to teach].’
A WND/Wenzel Strategies poll
http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=291997
just weeks ago revealed an overwhelming majority of Americans say elementary school is no place to promote the homosexual lifestyle. Even among liberals there is the strong belief that such lessons should be left outside the door of the classroom. (NO government school at any level is an appropriate place to promote immoral homosexual behavior!!!—my addition)
‘Whether they object on moral grounds or simply out of concern that many U.S. schools are failing in their core missions of teaching basics doesn’t really matter—the vast majority of American adults want this type of curriculum kept out of the classroom,’ Wenzel chief Fritz Wenzel said.
The scientific telephone survey was done April 19-21, and had a margin of error of 3.23 percentage points. It found that 65 percent of all respondents objected to teaching elementary school children that homosexuality is a ‘normal alternative lifestyle.’
The question was, ‘Do you believe elementary school children should be taught that homosexuality is a normal alternative lifestyle?’
Only 22 percent said yes, and 13 percent were unsure.”
While moving from Illinois to Tucson, Arizona, I received a job opportunity in California. I turned it down. I didn’t want to live in California. I wouldn’t live in California today under any circumstances I could perceive.
If I lived in California today, I’d be looking to move. If I couldn’t move and I had children in California’s government schools, I’d remove them. The schools seem to be no more than propaganda centers for the left’s radical agenda. No wonder a portion of California wants to succeed from the State!

“Staff sergeant may lose career over ‘gay’ indoctrination
Accused of refusing to support homosexuality

“An Air Force staff sergeant with more than 12 years of military service reports he may be medically discharged for failing to support the indoctrination planned under President Obama’s push to create an atmosphere of openly homosexual behavior in the military ranks.
The cost of Obama’s drive to repeal the longstanding ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ practice under which soldiers were not asked about their sexual orientation if they didn’t make a public spectacle of it remains undetermined.
Obama and his appointees in the Pentagon last week ‘certified’ that there will be no impact on the military if openly homosexual behavior is allowed, setting off a chain of programmed events that in 60 days is supposed to create that setting.
A critic of Obama’s warned that he was creating a ‘San Francisco Military’ with the move.
‘It is not surprising that Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, Joint Chiefs Chairman Admiral Mike Mullen and President Barack Obama would pull the trigger on the military on a Friday afternoon, making it less likely that anyone will report on the many ‘thorny issues’ and serious social problems expected to ensue,’ said Elaine Donnelly of the Center for Military Readiness.

‘Nevertheless, on the day that President Obama signs a paper ‘certifying’ that no harm will come to the military when repeal is implemented, he will own the San Francisco Military that he has created,’ she said.
‘The Friday afternoon move indicates that this is nothing to be proud of. It is an obvious political payoff to activists of the (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) LGBT Left, delivered at the expense of combat soldiers and Marines whose voices were heard but ignored during last year’s Pentagon ‘Working Group’ process that was put on just for show,’ she said.
The staff sergeant, James Moran, told WND he now is awaiting word from a military medical board regarding his future.
He said an earlier evaluation found, ‘He was unable to keep his personal opinions out of the office.’
Moran said he served four years in the Marines in the 1990s and then enlisted in the Air Force after 9/11 because he wanted to do his patriotic duty.
He had been in Germany only a few months when Congress voted to repeal the ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ policy. He said he heard about the repeal and voiced his concerns about its potential impact.
‘I voiced my concerns over the repeal to the people I work with,’ Moran said. ‘As a Christian I was raised in America, and there were some things I was raised to believe are wrong, and one of them was homosexuality.’
Moran said he raised the issue with his doctor, because he wanted someone to whom he could speak confidentially.
However, he said, the physician started the process that has led to his hearing before a medical board, and he’s now waiting to learn whether a ‘psychiatric condition’ will be used to remove him. (Are we now in Communist Soviet Union? The Soviet Union use to place political dissidents into psychiatric hospitals! Now in the United States, its seems to be people who disapprove of homosexual behavior!!!—my addition)
He said, ‘After I was removed from my clinic, I was having a hard time personally. So I went to the mental health doctor to let him know the things that had happened and to talk to him and to get some direction and help.
‘About a week later, a week after I was removed, they had to give me some kind of paperwork saying why I wasn’t in that clinic anymore. Then, when the commander asked me, I had already seen the doctor once or twice on my own, so I didn’t think it would be a problem,’ Moran explained.
Moran said he believes his commanding officer had a different reason for his actions, which eventually included a directive for Moran to go through a required ‘counseling.’
‘He sent me so that the red tape and paperwork would officially allow the Air Force to reach a conclusion regarding me and have me kicked out,’ Moran said. ‘Once it is command directed, then you have to go. And then your future depends on the decision of the doctors and the board.’
He said the evaluation determined, ‘I could not adapt and adjust to the military due to my own conscience and strongly held personal beliefs in religion.’ (ADJUST?!!!—my addition)
The natural result of that determination, he said, would be his removal from the military.
But the crux of the issue is not his adaptability; it is his religious faith, he said.
‘They don’t judge my religious beliefs. They in fact say I’m entitled to them. However, they do not allow me to discuss Jesus with other military members or sin as the Bible says.
‘The military has adopted a position that religion is personal and anyone offending others will be punished, in my view,’ Moran said.
Moran now is awaiting the results of the medical board to find out if he will be discharged from the Air Force.
The Air Force and the Department of Defense did not respond to WND’s request for comment.
Obama portrayed his promotion of homosexuals in the military as a termination of a discriminatory practice targeting the behavior. It also is viewed widely as a payoff to homosexuals who supported him during the 2008 election. (Duh! That is exactly what it is!!!—my addition)
‘We have taken the final major step toward ending the discriminatory ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ law that undermines our military readiness and violates American principles of fairness and equality (LIAR!!!—my addition),’ Obama said at the time. (Now they are discriminating against people of faith!!!—my addition)
Retired Army Command Sgt. Maj. J. D. Pendry said the issue has never been about service.
‘It is unknown at this stage how many might retire or decide to leave at the end of their terms when they may otherwise have remained,’ Pendry said. ‘Our nation’s most trusted institution has been used by liberal politicians to normalize homosexuality. This was never about service.’ (Exactly!!!—my addition)
There have been a number of reports about concern expressed by military members or forces such as the Army’s Special Forces and the Navy SEALS.
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2010/dec/27/special-forces-wary-of-dont-ask-repeal/
‘Interviews with current and former commandos reveal that to maintain unit cohesion of Army Green Berets, Navy SEALs or other elite covert warriors, the military services and U.S. Special Operations Command need to make a special effort to ensure both homosexuals and heterosexuals know the rules of conduct,’ the Washington Times said.
‘I’m unsure how the Defense Department will define ‘openly gay’,’ said one Green Beret officer. ‘I can envision all sorts of new regulations or changes to existing ones, class after class, accusations flying, and more strains on our soldiers. We will spend hundreds of millions of dollars, if not billions, to establish the new rules of the road and to implement them.’
The White House promotion of its action did not even mention a study
http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=316273
by the government itself that concluded the ‘fix’ was in for the promotion of homosexuality in the military whether it would create damage or not.
That 33-page report, uncovered by the Center for Military Readiness, marked "For Official Use Only,"
http://cmrlink.org/CMRDocuments/DoD_IG-040811.pdf
describes an ‘Investigation of improper disclosure of For Official Use Only information from the Comprehensive Review Working Group draft report.’
It reveals that the inspector general of the Department of Defense concludes that the fix—maybe even handed down by the White House—was in before the military ever started asking soldiers and sailors about how opening the ranks to homosexuals would affect the nation’s defense.
It was that report that famously was quoted as affirming ‘70 percent’ of the nation’s military members believe the repeal of the long-standing ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ practice of allowing homosexuals to serve as long as they kept their sexual lifestyle choices to themselves would have either ‘a neutral or positive impact on unit cohesion, readiness, effectiveness and morale.’
However, the inspector general documents show the co-chairman of the commission working on the assessment, Jeh Johnson, ‘read portions of ‘an early draft’ of the executive summary … to a former news anchor, a close personal friend visiting Mr. Johnson’s home’ three days before service members even were given the survey.
A source provided the IG report, which aimed to determine who prematurely released information about the study, to Elaine Donnelly of the Center for Military Readiness. Donnelly analyzed the documentation and warned that it suggested Congress was deceived, probably deliberately, by those with a pro-repeal agenda.
Congress then voted during its lame-duck session last winter for the repeal.
‘Contrary to most news accounts, the ‘Comprehensive Review Working Group’ process was not a ‘study,’’ she told WND. ‘Its purpose was to circumvent and neutralize military opposition to repeal of the law.’
She said, ‘The vaunted Department of Defense ‘Survey of the Troop’s’ was pre-scripted even before the survey began.’
‘The Department of Department Inspector General report revealed that misleading survey results, which obscured the strong opposition of 60 percent of combat troops and 67 percent of Marines, were prematurely and improperly leaked to the Washington Post in order to promote the campaign to repeal the 1993 law.’
Donnelly explained that days before the survey to military members—supposedly to determine whether having open homosexuality in the ranks would be a detriment—was distributed to members of the military, Johnson ‘was seeking advice from a ‘former news anchor’ on how to write the report’s executive summary more ‘persuasively.’’
Further, ‘The Department of Defense IG report concluded that someone who ‘had a strongly emotional attachment to the issue’ and ‘likely a pro-repeal agenda’ violated security rules and leaked selected, half-true information to the Washington Post,’ she explained.
That was the ‘70 percent’ figure that has been discussed as the percentage of active-duty and reserve troops ‘not concerned about repeal of the law.’
‘The Department of Defense did not correct the unauthorized ‘spin,’ which was widely publicized and cited on the floor during Senate debate. The ultimate result of this travesty was a rushed vote to repeal the law regarding homosexuals in the military.’
However, the actual responses were that military members who believe the change would impact units
1) ‘very positively’ totaled 6.6 percent
2) ‘positively’ 11.8 percent
3) ‘mixed’ 32.1 percent
4) ‘negatively’ 18.7 percent
5) ‘very negatively’ 10.9 percent
6) ‘no effect’ 19.9 percent.
The only way the 70 percent figure can be reached is to combine ‘very positively,’ ‘positively,’ ‘mixed’ and ‘no effect.’ But this combination counts people with ‘neutral positions’ as favoring the change, she noted.
Donnelly’s research explained that taking those same figures and putting them on the other side, that is, lumping them with ‘negatively’ and ‘very negatively,’ would produce a total of almost 82 percent of the soldiers who believe the results of the change would be ‘negative or neutral.’
The IG said exactly that:
‘We considered that the primary source's likely pro-repeal sentiment was further demonstrated by his/her inclusion of the key 70 percent figure in the information provided to the Washington Post. … Had [the source] desired to further an anti-repeal bias for the article, he/she could likewise have combined four results categories from that same survey question to conclude that ‘82 percent of respondents said the effect of repealing the ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ policy would be negative, mixed or no effect.’
EDITOR’S NOTE: At the request of one congressional member of the House Armed Services Committee, in early April WND sent to committee members, including Rep. Duncan Hunter, as well as staffers, 150 copies of the special Whistleblower issue, ‘DROPPING THE ‘H’-BOMB: As Obama and Congress force open homosexuality on America’s military, soldiers are fighting back.’”
In the end, those who practice and support homosexual behavior will lose. The only question will be “How much damage will be done to the United States” before then!
Romans 1: 26-27 (NIV) “Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.”
When the Apostle Paul wanted to give an example of men exchanging the truth of God for a lie, he gave, as an example, men and women involved in homosexual behavior!!! Get the picture? Homosexual behavior is a SIN. No court, no State, no group of men and women can change that TRUTH!!!
