“Christians Must Stand Up for Conscience Rights, Against Abortion

by Ken Connor
Washington, DC

‘Theological courage calls the inner-man to ignore his buckling knees and take theologically driven stances that, while potentially controversial, are righteous in nature.’ So write Owen Strachen and Andrew Walker in a recent article discussing Hobby Lobby’s stance against Obamacare’s onerous trampling of religious liberty.

The idea of martyrdom, be it physical, social, or financial, is a strange concept to the American mind. The word conjures images of ancient inquisitions, tyrannical princes, and subjugated peoples. In the modern context, we hear stories of brave souls standing up for liberty in the face of Communist regimes in North Korea and China or fundamentalist rulers in Iran and Pakistan. We certainly don’t think of a big box retailer nestled in the heart of the suburban American landscape.

Americans are living in an age, however, where the actions of government increasingly come into conflict with Christian values (From the MURDER of unborn babies, to the destruction of the GOD-created traditional family, to trying to remove GOD from the public arena!—my addition). As issues like abortion and gay marriage continue to insert themselves into the cultural milieu, Christians and other traditional-minded Americans—including those of other religious faiths—find themselves marginalized and even demonized (Unless you are Muslim!—my addition). The moral authority increasingly rests with those who control the narrative: Big Government, Hollywood, and the mainstream media. In the world of Barack Obama, George Clooney, Bob Schieffer and those like them, it is the folks at Planned Parenthood and the Human Rights Campaign who are on the right side of history. There is a war on for the (heart and—my addition) soul of America, and the growing perception is that it’s the Christian remnants who are wearing the black hats.

In the face of this reality, the language of martyrdom is once again becoming relevant. Modern examples of those who are being persecuted by the state or popular culture for their fidelity to their faith include the owners of Chick-Fil-A and Hobby Lobby. Both entities have been blacklisted by the reigning ‘moral (immoral!—my addition) authorities.’ Both have paid the price for espousing their faith in the public square. Right now the price may just be public opprobrium, or in Hobby Lobby’s case, fines. But as we allow government to burgeon, the price will undoubtedly get higher. As Strachen and Walker point out, look what happened in Nazi Germany. National Socialism grew and grew and gradually took control over every area of life. The church was timid and even complicit in the growth of oppressive statism and the persecution of ‘undesirables,’ and soon there was little resistance from the wider culture. Dietrich Bonhoeffer and leaders of The Confessing Church were some of the only ones brave enough to say ‘no,’ and ultimately paid the price of resistance with their lives (In any society, the church is and should be the last bastion for righteousness! If it is not, we are doomed!—my addition).

In America today, our culture is quickly crumbling as traditional institutions are weakened and hollowed out from within. We need people of courage and conviction to speak truth to power. People who will challenge the prevailing orthodoxy and speak with a clear voice of resistance. People who will show the rest of society that there is another and better way. In short, we need the Church.

So the question to Christians across the country is, are we willing to speak up? Are we willing to resist, willing to speak truth to power? Will we refuse to render to Caesar that which is God’s, or will we roll over and let government steamroll all we hold dear? Resist the urge to dismiss such questions as paranoid hyperbole. That mistake has been made before. Let us learn a lesson from history and prepare ourselves to stand as defenders of the faith in the face of an antagonistic and increasingly authoritarian cultural and governmental regime.

The above is why I stopped filing an income tax return in 2010 after the passage of Obamacare, why I write this blog on a 6 day a week basis, and why I am now writing a book entitled The Bold Church of Jesus, the Christ.

In the First Century, the church boldly proclaimed the word of GOD, was led by the HOLY SPIRIT, was persecuted as JESUS had promised would happen, and grew mightily! Christians once again need to stop being the lukewarm church and return to its origins of a bold church led by the SPIRIT! If not, expect much more of the same and even worse!

James 4: 17 (NIV, 1984)

Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesnt do it, sins.”

Acts 4: 18-20 (NIV, 1984)

“Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John replied, ‘Judge for yourselves whether it is right in Gods sight to obey you rather than God. For we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.’”

“Planned Parenthood Ignores 71 Studies Linking Abortion, Breast Cancer

by Karen Malec
Washington, DC
LifeNews.com

Planned Parenthood reported in its 2008 tax returns that its purpose is ‘[a]chieving, through informed individual choice, a U.S. population of stable size in an optimum environment; in stimulating and sponsoring relevant biomedical, socio-economic, and demographic research.’ [1]

In other words, its purpose is to assist the U.S. government in achieving its population control objectives. Its last two annual reports show it received over a billion dollars in taxpayer money between June 2010 and June 2012. [2]

Increased childbearing, starting before age 25, has long been known to provide significant protection against breast cancer. But, Planned Parenthood is waging a cancer war on women through its sales of induced abortions, contraceptives, abortifacients, injections, vaginal rings, skin patches, implants, IUDs and sterilizations.

Although the abortion chain acknowledges the risk reducing effects associated with having an early first full term pregnancy and breastfeeding, it contradicts itself by denying that abortion puts women at an increased risk for the disease. Planned Parenthood omits from its ‘fact sheet’ most of the 71 epidemiologic studies reporting an independent link, meaning that abortion also raises breast cancer risk by leaving the breasts with more places for cancers to start. [3,4]

Like Big Tobacco, the abortion industry will not inform women that induced abortion raises breast cancer risk. That’s why we applaud legislators in seven states that have passed informed consent legislation requiring abortionists to either provide pregnant women this information before an abortion themselves or in state health department literature. [5]

Planned Parenthood ought to be compelled to inform women about the breast cancer risks of abortion and the birth control pill. The World Health Organization lists combined oral contraceptives (the pill containing estrogen + progestin) as a Group 1 carcinogen that puts women at risk for cancers of the breast, liver and cervix (although it reduces risk for rare cancers of the endometrium and ovaries). [6] Two studies report a strong connection between use of the pill and an aggressive form of breast cancer—triple-negative breast cancer. [7,8]

Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards justifies her organization’s gluttony for taxpayer funds (nearly $1.48 million daily) by claiming the organization provides health care services, but its annual reports show that between October 2010 and October 2011 it:

1) Performed 4,519 more abortions;

2) Provided 289,171 fewer cancer screening and prevention services; and

3) Provided 108,223 fewer breast exams and breast care services.

Importantly, Planned Parenthood does not provide mammograms. It refers women to other providers.
In December of 2011, the breast cancer group, Susan G. Komen for the Cure attempted to stop giving Planned Parenthood what its leadership called ‘crappy grants,’ according to the book, Planned Bullyhood. [9] In response, Cecile Richards and her allies in the Oversexed Left responded with lightening speed by orchestrating a blitzkrieg publicity campaign against Komen. They falsely alleged that women’s health would be harmed by the loss of the grants and forced the charity to agree to resume the grants after three days.

Planned Parenthood’s allies in Congress and the media, however, have shown zero concern about the abortion chain’s inferior and declining performance in providing cancer screening and prevention services.

It is evident from Planned Parenthood’s latest annual report that Komen’s original decision to terminate the grants was correct. Richards and her associates don’t care about women’s health. They care most about profiteering in abortion, contraceptives, abortifacients, and sterilizations, no matter how many women’s lives are lost.

Pro-Life; Pro-Choice—Victory Belongs to Those Who Walk with the LORD!

“Chris Smith at March for Life: Abortion’s Legacy is 55 Million Dead

by Steven Ertelt
Washington, DC
LifeNews.com

The following are remarks from pro-life Congressman Chris Smith, a New Jersey Republican, to the March for Life rally.

Forty years ago this past Tuesday marks the U.S. Supreme Court’s infamous, reckless and inhumane abandonment of women and babies to abortionists.

Forty years of victims—dead babies, wounded women, shattered families.

Forty years of (illegal,—my addition) government sanctioned violence against women and children.

Since 1973, more than 55 million children have been killed (MURDERED—my addition) by abortion—a staggering loss of children’s precious lives–a death toll that equates to the entire population of England.

The passage of time hasn’t changed the fact that abortion is a serious, lethal violation of fundamental human rights. And that women and children deserve better. And that the demands of justice, generosity and compassion require that the right to life be guaranteed to everyone.

Rather than dull our consciences to the unmitigated violence of abortion, the passage of time has only enabled us to see and better understand the innate cruelty of abortion and its horrific legacy—victims—while making us more determined than ever to protect the weakest and most vulnerable.

In his inaugural speech on Monday, President Obama said ‘together, we resolve that a great nation must care for the vulnerable … that all are created equal … and our journey is not complete until all of our children … are cared for and cherished and always safe from harm.’

We indeed, Mr. President, must care for the vulnerable—but that also (particularly for there is NO ONE more vulnerable!—my addition) includes unborn children and their mothers. No one gets left out or left behind. All people are created equal. And our journey is not complete until all our children—including the child in the womb—are cared for and cherished and always safe from harm.

Yet, President Obama systematically and aggressively promotes abortion at home and overseas.

Despite the fact that taxpayer-subsidized Planned Parenthood claims direct responsibility for killing over 6 million unborn babies, Planned Parenthood remains President Obama’s favorite organization.

Someday future generations will look back on America and wonder how and why such a seemingly enlightened society could have failed to protect the innocent and inconvenient. They will wonder how and why a Nobel Peace Prize winning President who spoke eloquently about caring, cherishing and safeguarding all our children, could also simultaneously have been the Abortion President.

Know this Mr. President, we will never quit. In adversity our faith and trust in God is tested, but it also deepens and overcomes and forges an indomitable yet humble spirit.

Know this, the pro-life movement is comprised of noble, caring, smart and selfless people. It is an extraordinarily powerful, non-violent, faith-filled human rights struggle that is growing in public support, intensity, commitment and hope.

And know this Mr. President, the pro-life movement is not only on the side of compassion justice, and inclusion; we are on the right side of responsible science and of history.”

And know this, we WILL win in the end! For GOD is just!

Galatians 6: 7-8 (NIV, 1984)

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.”

James 4: 17 (NIV, 1984)

A Pro-Choice MURDERER Admits the Obvious—Life begin at Conception

From: http://townhall.com/columnists/mattbarber/2013/01/28/all-life-is-not-equal-n1498996/page/full/

“All Life Is Not Equal

By Matt Barber

First, on a personal note: Thank you, thank you and thank you, Mary Elizabeth Williams! What a glorious service you’ve done the pro-life cause. I know, that’s not what you intended. But that’s precisely what you’ve accomplished.

Did I say thank you?

In her jaw-dropping article,

http://www.salon.com/2013/01/23/so_what_if_abortion_ends_life/

(Her sub-line: “I believe that life starts at conception. And its never stopped me from being pro-choice.”

‘So what if abortion ends life?’ Williams—a mainstream, though uncharacteristically honest pro-abort scribe for Salon.com—has inexplicably broken from the Orwellian left’s ministerial script. In so doing, she’s severely undermined the very cause for which she would gladly ‘sacrifice’ (dismember alive that is) her very own daughter. A daughter, mind you, whom she coldly acknowledges to be ‘a human life.’

But enough with the pleasantries.

In his 1925 manifesto ‘Mein Kampf, Adolf Hitler wrote: ‘Here’s the complicated reality in which we live: All life is not equal.’ Though technically a human life, ‘the parasitic Jew is a human life without having the same rights as the Aryan.’

‘Mother Germany is the boss,’ he declared. ‘Her life and what is right for her circumstances and her health should automatically trump the rights of the non-autonomous Jew. Always.’

Ha! Just kidding. Actually, Ms. Williams wrote those things. She wrote them, not from Nazi Germany in 1925, but, rather, from America. Wednesday.

She wrote them, not about the Jewish people, but, instead, about the most vulnerable of all people: The child in her mother’s womb. (A holocaust by any other name …)

Yes, welcome to Feminist Funland, where the women are randy and the children are dead. In ‘So what if abortion ends life?’ (I just love writing that), Williams, like some unintentionally creepy clown, guides us through the ‘pro-choice’ house of mirrors, revealing, with crystal clarity, the true horror behind the left’s distorted reflections.

‘While opponents of abortion eagerly describe themselves as ‘pro-life,’’ she writes, ‘the rest of us have had to scramble around with not nearly as big-ticket words like ‘choice’ and ‘reproductive freedom.’’

Here, Ms. Williams essentially admits what the life community has said for decades—that the euphemistic language of ‘choice’ and ‘reproductive freedom,’ long employed by the multi-billion-dollar abortion industry, is exactly that; euphemism—propaganda (It has NEVER been about choice or reproductive freedom! It has always been aboutlegalizedMURDER! And an immoral, unconstitutional Supreme Court legalized it! And like fools, we have let it stand! It is past time to END the MURDER of unborn children!—my addition).

In so many words, she goes on to acknowledge that, rather than ‘pro-choice,’ ‘pro-death’ is indeed the appropriate moniker for her movement (Even more accurate, Pro-MURDER!—my addition). ‘Yet I know that throughout my own pregnancies, I never wavered for a moment in the belief that I was carrying a human life inside of me. I believe that’s what a fetus is: a human life. And that doesn’t make me one iota less solidly pro-choice,’ she proclaims (How IMMORAL she is!—my addition).

Nice. Wonder how many of the little Williams babies made the cut.

But the money line? ‘Here’s the complicated reality in which we live,’ she declares. ‘All life is not equal.’

Get that, Thomas Jefferson? ‘All life is not equal.’ Put that in your self-evident-truth-pipe and smoke it. We clear, MLK? Wrap that ‘I have a dream’ up in a big wad of ‘All life is not equal’ and get to the back of the Birmingham bus.

Indeed, Ms. Williams is a militant feminist and that’s adorable; but her line of reasoning here is anything but fresh and cute. It stems from the utilitarian rotgut Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger poured down the gullet of her power-drunk eugenicist fans—foremost of whom was the hypertensive fuhrer himself (And the group she most wanted to MURDER were Blacks! And she has succeeded as Black women and men have fallen right into the trap! Read the rotgut she wrote!—my addition).

Still, to be fair, I’ll let Ms. Williams speak for herself: ‘Yet a fetus can be a human life without having the same rights as the woman in whose body it resides,’ she finds. ‘She’s the boss. Her life and what is right for her circumstances and her health should automatically trump the rights of the non-autonomous entity inside of her. Always.’

In other words: ‘Me no likey? You die.’ Or, as Hitler really did say: ‘We shall regain our health only by eliminating the Jew.’ Old Adolf, of course, defined ‘health’ to mean exactly what feminists mean by it. ‘Health: Any reason at all.’

Maybe I’ve been at this too long, but I love it when liberals mistake sociopathy for conviction—candor for courage. I revel in those rare moments when left-wing extremists, nestled warm inside the foul bowels of their ‘progressive’ echo chamber—pull back the wizard’s curtain just far enough to expose, if only for an instant, the wicked sty in which they roll, splash and play.

Like this gem: ‘If by some random fluke I learned today I was pregnant,’ Williams boasts, ‘you bet you’re XXXXX (Expletive deleted—my addition) I’d have an abortion. I’d have the World’s Greatest Abortion. … I still need to acknowledge my conviction that the fetus is indeed a life. A life worth sacrificing.’

‘The World’s Greatest Abortion.’

‘A life worth sacrificing.’

Submitted without comment.”

You will know them by their words and their actions! And we now have elected twice a President who holds the very same conviction and is pushing it not only in the United States but to the world!

“Jesse Jackson was Right

By Steve Deace

This week marked the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, and since state-sanctioned slaughter via judicial fiat began at least 50 million (Most estimate over 55 million—my addition) Americans have been killed. Over the last 40 years there have been some eloquent attempts to win the defining moral argument of our age, but few have come close to being as effective as the one I’m sharing with you today.

And it was written by Jesse Jackson. Yes, that Jesse Jackson.

To commemorate the 4th anniversary of Roe v. Wade in 1977, Jackson wrote an editorial titled ‘How We Respect Life is the Over-Riding Moral Issue.’

http://groups.csail.mit.edu/mac/users/rauch/nvp/consistent/jackson.html

What’s particularly unique about the article is that it both defends the right to life and reconciles it with Jackson’s liberal politics. The article is too big to post here in its entirety, and I would certainly recommend reading all of it in context. But just to whet your appetite, here are a few powerful excerpts:

• ‘The question of abortion confronts me in several different ways. First, although I do not profess to be a biologist, I have studied biology and know something about life from the point of view of the natural sciences. Second, I am a minister of the Gospel and therefore, feel that abortion has a religious and moral dimension that I must consider. Third, I was born out of wedlock (and against the advice that my mother received from her doctor) and therefore abortion is a personal issue for me. From my perspective, human life is the highest good, and God is the supreme good because He is the giver of life. That is my philosophy. Everything I do proceed from that religious and philosophical premise.’

• ‘Therefore, life is the highest human good because life is sacred. Biologically speaking, thousands of male sperms are ejaculated into the female reproductive tract during sexual intercourse, but only once in a while do the egg and sperm bring about fertilization. Some call that connection accidental, but I choose to call it providential. It takes three to make a baby: a man, a woman and the Holy Spirit.’

• ‘Human beings cannot give or create life by themselves it is really a gift from God. Therefore, one does not have the right to take away (through abortion) that which he does not have the ability to give.’

• ‘Some of the most dangerous arguments for abortion stem from popular judgments about life’s ultimate meaning, but the logical conclusion of their position is never pursued. Some people may, unconsciously, operate their lives as if pleasure is life's highest good, and pain and suffering man’s greatest enemy. That position, if followed to its logical conclusion, means that that which prohibits pleasure should be done away with by whatever means are necessary. By the same rationale, whatever means are necessary should be used to prevent suffering and pain. My position is not to negate pleasure nor elevate suffering, but merely to argue against their being elevated to an ultimate end of life. Because if they are so elevated, anything, including murder and genocide, can be carried out in their name.’

• ‘Psychiatrists, social workers and doctors often argue for abortion on the basis that the child will grow up mentally and emotionally scared. But who of us is complete? If incompleteness were the criteria for taking life we would all be dead. If you can justify abortion on the basis of emotional incompleteness then your logic could also lead you to killing for other forms of incompleteness—blindness, crippleness, and old age.’

• ‘There are those who argue that the right to privacy (Im sorry but there is also NOright to privacywithin the U.S. Constitution! It just is not present!—my addition) is of higher order than the right to life. I do not share that view. I believe that life is not private, but rather it is public and universal. If one accepts the position that life is private, and therefore you have the right to do with it as you please, one must also accept the conclusion of that logic. That was the premise of slavery. You could not protest the existence or treatment of slaves on the plantation because that was private and therefore outside of your right to concerned.’

• ‘Another area that concerns me greatly, namely because I know how it has been used with regard to race, is the psycholinguistics involved in this whole issue of abortion. If something can be dehumanized through the rhetoric used to describe it, then the major battle has been won. That is why the Constitution called us three-fifths human and then whites further dehumanized us by calling us ‘niggers.’ It was part of the dehumanizing process. The first step was to distort the image of us as human beings in order to justify that which they wanted to do and not even feel like they had done anything wrong. Those advocates of taking life prior to birth do not call it killing or murder; they call it abortion. They further never talk about aborting a baby because that would imply something human. Rather they talk about aborting the fetus. Fetus sounds less than human and therefore can be justified.

• ‘It is that question, the question of our attitude, our value system, and our mind-set with regard to the nature and worth of life itself that is the central question confronting mankind. Failure to answer that question affirmatively may leave us with a hell right here on earth.’

Sadly, just a few years after he wrote these words Jackson reversed himself. A decade later

http://articles.latimes.com/1989-11-13/news/mn-1068_1_rancho-park

Jackson appeared at a large Los Angeles rally in favor of child killing and urged the crowd to ‘fight for the right of self-determination’ and that ‘God has endowed us’with the right to kill others (NO!—my addition).

Matthew 18:6” (NIV, 1984)

“But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.”

Jesse Jackson was right about life and being pro-life in 1977. Unfortunately he later sold his soul for money, power, and influence within the Democratic Party. It is not the first time people have sold their soul for such. It wont be the last time. But it is always sad when people select the material things of this world over eternal life with GODthe CREATOR of life and all other things! And, of course, it is not too late to repent! One day it will be though!

The 40th Annual March for Life to the Immoral, Unconstitutional Supreme Court

“Marching for Life

Later today, hundreds of thousands of people will descend on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., for the annual March for Life.

Crowds are expected to exceed

http://www.wtop.com/109/3205524/March-for-Life-expected-to-attract-record-crowd

last year’s 400,000 participants, to walk a now-familiar route to the steps of the Supreme Court to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade

decision that, along with an accompanying ruling in Doe v. Bolton,

http://www.heritage.org/initiatives/rule-of-law/judicial-activism/cases/doe-v-bolton

legalized abortion-on-demand across the United States.

The official theme of this year’s march is ‘40 = 55M.’

It’s an equation meant to reflect the enormous cost

of 40 years under the ethic of Roe: Since the Supreme Court’s decision in 1973, an estimated 55 million abortions have been performed.

Like many annual March for Life events before it, there will likely also be smaller groups of counter-protests by abortion advocates holding signs and chanting slogans

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/jan/23/roe-foes-add-up-55-million-legalized-abortions/

championing the ethic of Roe that pledges unwavering allegiance to a right of abortion-on-demand,

for any reason. But those now-tired slogans are no longer able to convince a new generation that denying life to some will lead to a more just society and freedom for others.

It is a simple witness by a tireless pro-life movement over the past 40 years that has reoriented the hearts and minds of an entire generation toward the dignity and worth of every individual—born or yet to be. Despite obstacles, the pro-life movement has achieved notable victories in public opinion, law, and culture.

Today, roughly half

of Americans now identify themselves as ‘pro-life,’ including many of the millennial generation who will make up the crowds at today’s march.

More than 100 pro-life laws

Despite the many cultural advances and legal gains of the pro-life movement, challenges persist—especially as the Obama Administration insists on entangling taxpayers in the abortion business

to force the American people to foot the bill for elective abortion. (NOT me!—my addition)

As the March for Life draws to a close and Americans look to yet another year under the waning, yet still deadly ethic of Roe, there remains hope that government will one day soon return to a deeper respect of the principles that founded and sustain America by ensuring the basic rights of liberty and life to everyone—including those yet to be born.

For, as then-President Ronald Reagan wrote in 1986:

‘Respect for the sanctity of human life has not died in America. Far from it. With every passing year it shines ever more brightly in the hearts of more and more of our citizens as they come to see the issue with greater clarity in all of its dimensions. As we carry this message to our courts, our legislatures, and our fellow citizens, let us never be discouraged. … May we soon rejoice in the day when reverence for human life is enshrined as surely in our laws as in our hearts.’

Abortion: 40 Years of Roe v. Wade, Doe v. Bolton and the Women and Families Impacted by an Unconstitutional Court Decision

From: Family Research Council www.frc.org

“On Death Roe

Abortion may have taken 55 million lives since Roe v. Wade, but it’s created at least 110 million victims. Every one of those children had a mother—and not one of them was ever the same again. Some doctors would like us to believe that taking the life of an unborn child is just a simple, outpatient procedure. But lost somewhere in the pro-choice picket lines and political debates are the deeply personal stories of women trying to cope.

Yesterday, FRC helped facilitate an event on Capitol Hill where leaders listened to the heartbreaking stories of mothers who are trying to spare other women the same pain. What may surprise you is that the grief of abortion doesn’t take sides. It haunts women on every point of the political spectrum. Irene Beltran was six months along when she decided to end her pregnancy. ‘When the abortionists administered the [saline] into my stomach, I was mortified and shocked because I felt my child kick and turn hastily (my use of red—my addition),’ Beltran said wistfully. ‘Later, I found out she was being burned and could feel the pain.’

Irene was so devastated that she and her family desperately tried to save the baby. Instead of going back to the abortion clinic the next day to finish the procedure, she raced to the hospital—where her daughter died. ‘We spent the last moments with her,’ Beltran said.

http://cnsnews.com/news/article/roe-v-wade-conference-women-share-graphic-stories-about-abortion-s-toll-their-lives

‘Then the nurse ... carried her small, helpless, now cold, lifeless body out of the room.’

Others, like Kelly Stauffer, talked about being young and scared. ‘I can still, 17 years later, vividly remember the five-day process of being slowly and painfully dilated, of laying on an examination table and feeling the [five-month old] baby inside me frantically demand my attention right before the abortion’s needle ended her life.’

President Obama calls

this ‘freedom.’ But for Stauffer and millions like her, it is a life sentence of regret. Yesterday’s event, which was hosted by Representatives Dan Lipinski (D-Ill.), Chris Smith (R-N.J.), and Diane Black (R-Tenn.) on Roe v. Wades 40th anniversary, helped to kick off a solemn day of floor speeches and press conferences. ‘Those gathered this Friday and those gathered on the House floor this afternoon are joined because we believe that life must be protected—and must be protected especially for those who have no ability to protect it themselves,’ said House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.), one of more than 15 members to speak during the special order.

Congressman Chris Smith, who has made protecting the unborn his life’s work, insisted that pro-lifers are ‘not only on the side of compassion, justice, and inclusion; we are on the right side of history. Future generations will look back on America and wonder how and why such a seemingly enlightened society—so blessed and endowed with education, advanced science, information, wealth and opportunity—could have failed to protect the innocent ... They will wonder how and why a Nobel Peace Prize-winning President could have been the abortion President.’

like this one. It was the brainchild of the Center for Reproductive Rights, a group that based on this video, the word ‘radical’ doesn’t begin to describe. The commercial features True Blood actor Mehcad Brooks holding roses and drinks in front of a roaring fire. At the end of a two-minute come-on, Mehcad looks at the camera and says, ‘Happy anniversary, baby. Lookin’ good for 40. Mmm, mmm, mmmmm.’

Maybe the folks at CRR think it’s funny to sexualize Roes legacy with all the class of an SNL Ladies’ Man skit, but in the end, all they did was prove pro-lifers’ point: that the abortion industry is not only intrinsically evil but fundamentally uncaring. The Left may be seduced by abortion’s appeal, but, as Live Action’s Cassy Fiano points out, it’s not exactly sexy to have an ad featuring a man who looks like he wants to take you to bed and then drop you off at the nearest Planned Parenthood. This smooth, but ultimately predatory tone, is what abortion is all about: Giving men what they want (with no consequences for them) while women are left to suffer and die. Even more repulsive, the Center intentionally uses an African American man to romanticize a procedure that happens to be the number one killer (MURDERER—my addition) of the black community.

‘How convenient,’ said Linda Shrewberry of Black Americans for Life, that women ‘pose their compliance with destroying their offspring as their ‘choice’ and their ‘right.’ For Planned Parenthood, mission accomplished—30% of all abortions are performed on black women and children.’ How sad that the black community isn’t storming the gates over the holocaust in their community—and over this ad. How sad that the black and white (or any other) church isn’t as well. How sad that all fathers in America are not taking action to protect their daughters. Happy anniversary, indeed.

Of Course, He Is a Baby—Abortion Supporters

From: Rick Santorum’s Patriot Voices

“55 million.

It’s hard to believe or even comprehend that because of this Supreme Court ruling, 55 million babies have not been afforded their God-given right to life. It’s heartbreaking, and it must be stopped.

This Friday is an opportunity for each of us to rededicate ourselves to the fight to protect the sanctity of life. The 40th annual March for Life on the mall in Washington, DC is our chance to unite our voices in the cause of life.

I will be speaking at the rally before the March, and Karen and some of our children will also be there. After the rally, we will join hundreds of thousands of pro-life Americans to march down the mall to the Supreme Court in support of life.

Patriot Voices will be gathering at the March, and we'd love to have you and your friends and family join us!

“Abortion Activists Admit: “I Knew It Was a Baby”

by Sarah Terzo
Washington, DC
LifeNews.com
1/22/13

It is usually assumed, in the abortion debate, that the fundamental difference between the pro-life and pro-choice positions is the question of when life begins. Pro-life people point to the scientific fact that the life of each organism begins at conception,

http://liveactionnews.org/life-begins-at-conception-science-teaches/

when the sperm and egg meet to form a new individual with its own DNA different from that of the mother and father. As this new life implants and begins to grow, it has its own circulatory system, heartbeat, and developing body, making it an independent organism and a very young member of the human species

Pro-choice activists, on the other hand, argue that the fetus in the womb is not a person, not a baby—instead, just a ‘thing’ that will eventually become a human being. However, in a disturbing new trend, more and more pro-choice activists are changing their tune and admitting that an unborn baby is a person, and that their pro-choice stand is based not on the belief that the baby is inhuman, but rather on the belief that killing the baby is okay.

This opinion was perhaps first expressed in Naomi Wolfe’s essay ‘Our Bodies, Our Souls: Rethinking Pro-Choice Rhetoric.’ Her essay, which appeared in the October 16, 1995 issue of The New Republic, says:

‘It was when I was four months pregnant, sick as a dog, and in the middle of an argument, that I realized I could no longer tolerate the fetus-is-nothing paradigm of the pro-choice movement. I was being interrogated by a conservative, and the subject of abortion rights came up. ‘You’re four months pregnant,’ he said. ‘Are you going to tell me that’s not a baby you’re carrying?’

The accepted pro-choice response at such a moment in the conversation is to evade: to move as swiftly as possible to a discussion of ‘privacy’ and ‘difficult personal decisions’ and ‘choice.’ Had I not been so nauseated and so cranky and so weighed down with the physical gravity of what was going on inside me, I might not have told what is the truth for me. ‘Of course it’s a baby,’ I snapped. And went rashly on: ‘And if I found myself in circumstances in which I had to make the terrible decision to end this life (MURDER THIS LIFE!—my addition), then that would be between myself and God (NOT true! The State has a responsibility to protect human life!—my addition).’

While many pro-life readers found this revelation shocking, some pro-choice activists criticized Wolfe. Having a fellow activist suddenly proclaim that yes, a fetus is a baby the whole time, was jarring to them. They saw her rhetoric as a threat to abortion rights. But despite the outcry from some feminists, others have echoed her sentiments. For example, abortion supporter Judith Arcana recently said at a seminar (1):

“I performed abortions, I have had an abortion and I am in favor of women having abortions when we choose to do so. But we should never disregard the fact that being pregnant means there is a baby growing inside of a woman, a baby whose life is ended (MURDERED—my addition). We ought not to pretend this is not happening.

This feminist, herself an abortionist, readily admits that abortion kills a baby. She clearly feels that abortions are justified, even though they kill human beings. She has no problem with the belief that a woman has the right to murder her own children for personal reasons.

Julia Black echoed these sentiments in an interview in which she discussed My Fetus, a pro-abortion movie that she directed. In an interview with ABC’s Tony Jones she said, bluntly (2):

‘[The idea of] dismembering a baby and pulling it out in pieces … is obviously horrific. But at the same time, it is easy to get caught up in that emotion.’

Julia Black implies that while abortion does indeed kill a baby by dismemberment, this act is nothing to be concerned about. The baby is expendable. What is important is the mother’s desire not to be pregnant. Those of us who are troubled by the thought of a baby being violently torn apart are overreacting and overemotional. We should ‘get with the program’ and accept abortion. As shocking as this concept is, this opinion is being advanced more and more often in the pro-choice movement.

Is this callous attitude limited to only a few pro-choice advocates on the fringe? To answer that question, one need look no farther than the words of Faye Wattleton, the former president of Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood is the leading provider of abortions in America. Its legal arm is active in fighting pro-life legislation on both the state and federal levels. Planned Parenthood has successfully campaigned against parental notification bills, laws requiring a woman to be shown a sonogram before consenting to an abortion, and even bills requiring abortion clinics to be licensed and regulated. However, the woman who served as president of Planned Parenthood for years has written the following in her book How to Talk to Your Child About Sexuality (3):

‘There are many sperm cells in the [seminal] fluid. If one of them meets an egg cell inside the mother, new life can begin to grow[.] … [I]f one of your friends is pregnant, ask her to let your child feel the baby move[.] … [A] baby grows in a special place inside the mother, called the uterus—not in her stomach. In nine months, it is born[.]’

Wattleton, who presided over the most active pro-abortion organization in the country, freely admits that the being developing in a woman’s womb is a baby—not a mere clump of cells or subhuman organism. Yet despite this knowledge, she fought to keep abortion legal and to advance legislation to keep women uninformed of its true nature. Wattleton campaigned against laws that would have required an abortion provider to offer any information on the fetus to his/her patients. We can only imagine how vehemently she would have fought against a law requiring him to refer to the fetus as a ‘baby.’ Yet in her book, she does just that. This quote from Wattleton, once one of the most prominent pro-choice activists in the country, shows that the pro-choice movement as a whole is well aware of what abortion really does, as well as increasingly unafraid to say it.

In 2003, another prominent pro-choice advocate, Kathleen McDonnell, wrote in her book (4):

‘Abortion is in some sense (Some sense?—my addition) an act of violence, and indisputably results in the termination of a life (MURDER of a life!—my addition).

McDonnell continues to support legalized abortion despite this admission.

The trend of pro-choice activists admitting in public that abortion kills babies is not unique to America. In Australia, pro-choice author Leslie Cannold stated in her book The Abortion Myth: Feminism, Morality, and the Hard Choices Women Make (5):

‘Any woman who has felt a baby stir inside her [and] any man who has seen the tiny heart pulsing on an ultrasound screen knows that abortion is about ending a life.’

The same book quotes a British author and pro-choice activist, Eileen Fairweather, saying (6):

‘It is possible for people to support a woman’s right to choose whether they believe that abortion is killing or not (HOW!—my addition).’

The message is clear—abortion is permissible even if it’s killing a child. These women believe that it is perfectly acceptable to kill babies in their mothers’ wombs. One needn’t even bother trying to hide the fact that abortion kills a baby. The public should just accept that abortion is fine—even knowing that it is murder (How depraved have we become?—my addition).

Creator of ‘The Abortion Diaries’ Penny Lane says, in an article in Salon Magazine (7):

‘Most of the abortions in America are about convenience. People need to accept abortion for what it is: a valid part of the reproductive spectrum. I want it to be seen as normal; if 1.3 million women in this country have one every year, it’s gotta be normal (NO! It is still MURDER! And MURDER is never normal!—my addition).’

Yet later on, in that same interview, she says (8):

‘I remember feeling conflicted about the magic of being pregnant. I felt electricity running through my body. Not for a minute did I not think of it as a life. I knew it was a baby.

In one breath, abortion is an acceptable, common occurrence that shouldn’t bother anyone. In the next, it is the murder of a baby.’

One of the most prominent pro-choice activists of the current decade is Jennifer Baumgardner. She is the creator of the ‘I Had An Abortion’ T-shirt and the campaign surrounding it. She frequently speaks at pro-choice functions and fundraisers. She describes what happened to one such event in her book Abortion & Life (9):

‘I had my own moment of truth during my fifth month of pregnancy in May 2004. A small moment, but it changed me. I was speaking to a group from Barnard’s College Students for Choice when I referred to the object in one’s uterus when one Is pregnant as a ‘baby.’

A nurse practitioner who was speaking after me interrupted ‘Fetus, you mean. You said baby, but it’s a fetus.’

‘Oh, right,’ I stammered, blushing. ‘Oops.’ I felt foolish, caught in an ignorant mistake. Later, though, I realized that I had always thought of my pregnancy as carrying a baby—that was the word I wanted to use—and I was forcing myself to say ‘fetus’ out of fear. … I thought of other phrases that I forced myself to use too, like ‘so-called partial birth abortion’ and ‘antichoice.’ These phrases suddenly struck me as legal jargon, words in the service of arguments that weren’t themselves always meaningful. Suppressing language, policing ourselves so we don’t slip up and say ‘baby’ continues the split between our politics and our lives.’

Jennifer Baumgardner, one of the most active new faces in the pro-choice movement, is continuing a trend that is becoming more and more blatant in the movement and in our society as a whole. We have gone from engaging in the mental gymnastics of denying the obvious—the humanity of the unborn child—to advocating murder outright, admitting that abortion kills babies and that’s perfectly fine.

As if that wasn’t enough, pro-choice leader Loretta Ross, who is the national coordinator of SisterSong: Women of Color Reproductive Health Collective, is also quoted in Baumgardner’s book referring to the unborn child as a ‘baby’ (10).

Are pro-choice activists so confident of their victory in making abortion legal that they have abandoned any pretense that abortion isn’t murder? Have they finally come to the point where they are no longer attempting to deceive the public into believing that unborn babies aren’t people? And is our society so far gone that the public will accept the fact that yes, abortion kills babies, but that there’s nothing wrong with that (How immoral is our society?—my addition)?

Children Have a Political View on Abortion (AKA MURDER) which President Obama Respects?

From: One Million Moms

Today, Tuesday, January 22, marks a tragic day in our nation’s history. Forty years ago on this day the Supreme Court decided that preborn children did not have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Indeed, they had no rights whatsoever.”

“Kids Write Obama on Abortion: ‘Scared for Babies Not Yet Born’

by Mike Adams
Washington, DC
LifeNews.com
1/21/13

I’m getting sick and tired of the Obama administration using children selectively in order to help the president advocate his public policy positions. As I sat and watched his recent press conference, I finally understood his opposition to the Iraq War. It seems he and the late President Hussein are kindred spirits who share more than just a name. They share a sick penchant for using children as human shields in the middle of war. And make no mistake about it; America is currently at war with itself on many different fronts (We certainly are! And in the end, Obama loses and GOD has already won!—my addition). As I sat and watched Obama surrounded by little human political shields, three things struck me as being especially hypocritical:

1. Just a few years ago, the president would have supported murdering all of those children by dismemberment (Absolutely TRUE!—my addition).

2. The president would have classified their dismemberment as ‘health care’ within a comprehensive reform package necessary to preserve the well-being of children (Absolutely TRUE!—my addition), and finally

3. All the children at the press conference were protected from being murdered at that particular moment by government agents carrying concealed weapons (Absolutely TRUE!—my addition).

But it got worse as the day went on. ABC News and other outlets began circulating letters written to Obama by children wishing to weigh in on current public policy debates. That’s normal, of course. Children always weigh in on public policy debates without being prodded by liberal parents who never left childhood themselves (Ouch!—my addition). And everyone knows it makes sense to base public policy decisions on the recommendations of children (If it is the same as what you want! Selective on what is read and used!—my addition).

What people do not realize is that the practice of children voluntarily writing the White House is so common that the Obama Administration is having difficulty keeping the content of some of these letters from the press. Fortunately, I have a mole in the White House who has sent me some of these previously hidden letters—all of which were mailed by school children to Obama. In fairness, we are forbidden to assume that any of the following letters were written under duress from right wing parents or school teachers:

Grant writes ‘Mr. Obama, there should be some changes in the law with abortions. It’s a free country, but I recommend there needs be [sic] a limit with killing babies. Please don’t let people own abortion clinics or give money to powerful lobbies like Planned Parenthood. I think there should be a good reason to get an abortion. There should be a limit about [sic] how many abortions a person can have.’

Julia writes ‘Even though I am not scared for my own safety, I am scared for others who are not yet born. My opinion is it should be very hard for people to be aborted in the womb. I beg you to work very hard to make killing children not allowed, not just for me, but for the whole United States.’

Taejah writes ‘I am very sad about the children who lost their lives since 1973. So I thought I would write to you to STOP feminist violence. Thank you, Mr. President.’

Right now, ABC, NBC, CBS, and the New York Times should be up in arms about the fact that these letters are just now hitting the press. They should also be outraged that it took a leak for them to get there. Clearly, the press has a right to know what all children—liberal or conservative—are thinking about important matters of public policy. With the help of the media, we could have curtailed the right to abortions—despite the fact that they are clearly written into the language of the constitution (right next to the right to homosexual sodomy and free birth control) [Exactly!—my addition]. After all, the president himself said ‘if there’s even one step that we can take to save another child then surely we have an obligation to try (His qualification, depending upon the time in the life of the childin the womb does not count as the correct time in the life of the child!—my addition).’

If only the president valued the political opinions of all children equally. Then he might realize that every child has an equal right to life. And so many children could be saved (Over a million a year!—my addition).

Newtown, British Royalty, Abortion (AKA MURDER), the Media, and the TRUTH!

From: http://townhall.com/columnists/alexcortes/2013/01/20/almost-150-newtowns-every-single-day-n1487472?utm_source=thdaily&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=nl

“Almost 150 Newtowns, Every Single Day

By Alex Cortes

This week is the 40th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, the landmark Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion in America. Since the decision, over 56 million innocent children have been aborted, an average of 3,835 lives per day. That’s worth repeating: Every day around 3,835 innocent lives are taken by abortion, higher than any other cause, and yet this sad fact is known by so few of the public or rarely reported by the media (My use of red—my addition).

In contrast, consider the public attention brought to Adam Lanza’s shooting spree in Newtown, Connecticut just over a month ago that took the lives of 26 people, including 20 second-graders at Sandy Hook Elementary who left this earth way too early. The tragedy rightfully dominated public consciousness and the news for a week, and the aftermath is still being covered, as it should, as we attempt to discern how to reduce the incident of such attacks.

But should the tragedy of abortion be covered less than the tragedy of Newtown?

In terms of lives lost, the daily number of abortions equates to having almost 150 Newtowns every single day for an entire year for 40 straight years.

And yet there is no daily coverage of this fact. Why does Newtown shock us but not abortion?

Are the innocent lives taken by abortion not as equal, not as valuable to us (They are! They should be! And most importantly, they are to GOD!—my addition)?

Many would consider abortion an even greater tragedy as the child is not given a chance to live for even one moment on this Earth.

When over 100,000 Americans join the March for Life later this week in Washington, DC, as they do each year, why is it likely to receive so little public attention as it always does? This is despite it being the largest public rally in America almost every single year.

Would not the media intensely cover a 100,000 person march for gun control or mental health legislation that was inspired by Newtown? Of course they would.

Now to be fair, public consciousness has not been entirely absent on matters related to pregnancy. It did recently focus on the announcement by Prince William and Princess Kate that they are having a baby.

Note that all of the media coverage and public discussion of the announcement said that it is a baby, recognition that it is a human life, not merely a glob of tissue. They called it the Royal Baby, not the Royal Glob of Tissue.

If everyone recognizes that it is a baby in Princess Kate’s womb, is it not a baby for all pregnant women (Of course, it IS!—my addition)? For her being a royal does not change this matter of simple logic.

And if it is a baby, a human life, for all pregnant women, is not the destruction of human life in the womb of all women murder (Of course, it IS!—my addition)?

It must be (IT IS!—my addition)?

So we have 3,835 murders via abortion per day on average since 1973, the equivalent of almost 150 Newtowns every single day, and yet we apparently have had more important things to talk about, to care about, like Royal Weddings and the fiscal cliff, all the while this genocide continues before our very eyes.
Will we be part of an indifferent generation?

If you believe in an afterlife and make it there, when you meet the 56 million children who have been aborted in the United States since Roe vs. Wade, what will you say to them when you meet each and every one of them eye-to-eye (That I fought to save their lives! Everyone of them! How about you!—my addition)? Will you tell them you had more important things to be concerned about than their lives?

Will this assault on the unborn be the reason for the end of the United States? I John 3: 15 (NIV 1984)

“ … and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him.
Fortunately, for all murderers still alive, there is time to repent and turn to GOD. Fortunately, for the United States, there is still time to repent and turn to GOD! But, for how much longer? GODS patience does come to an end at some point! Ask the people of Israel

President Obama, Religious Freedom, The First Amendment, Hypocrisy, and We the People

“Obama Declares ‘Religious Freedom Day’As His Admin Denies It

President Barack Obama declared today Religious Freedom Day as his administration is working overtime to deny religious freedom to pro-life Americans who do not want their companies, schools or businesses to pay for drugs that may cause abortions.

While the Obama Administration is furiously working to push the HHS mandate on religious employers, Obama issued a proclamation today calling religious freedom ‘sacred (Unless you are PRO-LIFE and don’t support his position on an issue!—my addition).’

‘Foremost among the rights Americans hold sacred is the freedom to worship as we choose,’ the ironic proclamation reads. ‘Today, we celebrate one of our Nation’s first laws to protect that right—the Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom. Written by Thomas Jefferson and guided through the Virginia legislature by James Madison, the Statute affirmed that ‘Almighty God hath created the mind free’ and ‘all men shall be free to profess . . . their opinions in matters of religion.’ Years later, our Founders looked to the Statute as a model when they enshrined the principle of religious liberty in the Bill of Rights.’

The remainder of the proclamation

http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2013/01/16/presidential-proclamation-religious-freedom-day

reads as follows:

‘Because of the protections guaranteed by our Constitution, each of us has the right to practice our faith openly and as we choose. As a free country, our story has been shaped by every language and enriched by every culture. We are a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus, Sikhs and non-believers. Our patchwork heritage is a strength we owe to our religious freedom.

Americans of every faith have molded the character of our Nation. They were pilgrims who sought refuge from persecution; pioneers who pursued brighter horizons; protesters who fought for abolition, women’s suffrage, and civil rights. Each generation has seen people of different faiths join together to advance peace, justice, and dignity for all.

Today, we also remember that religious liberty is not just an American right; it is a universal human right to be protected here at home and across the globe. This freedom is an essential part of human dignity, and without it our world cannot know lasting peace.

As we observe Religious Freedom Day, let us remember the legacy of faith and independence we have inherited, and let us honor it by forever upholding our right to exercise our beliefs free from prejudice or persecution.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim January 16, 2013, as Religious Freedom Day. I call on all Americans to commemorate this day with events and activities that teach us about this critical foundation of our Nation’s liberty, and show us how we can protect it for future generations at home and around the world.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this sixteenth day of January, in the year of our Lord two thousand thirteen, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirty-seventh.’

While Obama touts religious freedom, the Obama Administration is still trying to enforce its abortion pill mandate against a Bible publisher which filed a lawsuit against it.

In an email to LifeNews, Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) President Marjorie Dannenfelser deplored the proclamation as hypocritical (To say the least!—my addition) in light of his administration’s mandate that employers and organizations—regardless of deeply held religious beliefs or moral objections—must offer insurance plans that cover abortion-inducing drugs and sterilization.

She said, ‘Our religious liberty and rights of conscience have been threatened like never before under President Obama, who has mandated that employers must cover abortion-inducing drugs in their health care plans, regardless of their moral or religious objections. President Obama must first rescind his HHS mandate before making any proclamations on the subject—this is blatant hypocrisy.’

The mandate has generated massive opposition from pro-life groups because it forces employers, regardless of their religious or moral convictions, to provide insurance coverage for abortion-inducing drugs, sterilization, and contraception under threat of heavy penalties.

The Obama administration opposed an order a judge gave temporarily stopping enforcement, arguing that Tyndale House Publishers isn’t religious enough for an exemption from the mandate, a component of ObamaCare that forces employers, regardless of their religious or moral convictions, to provide insurance coverage for abortion-inducing drugs, sterilization, and contraception under threat of heavy penalties.

Yesterday, LifeNews reported

http://www.lifenews.com/2013/01/15/obama-admin-still-trying-to-force-bible-publisher-to-obey-hhs-mandate/

on how a pro-life legal group representing Tyndale, says the Obama Administration is taking the battle to the next level.

Alliance Defending Freedom Senior Legal Counsel Matt Bowman emailed LifeNews regarding the decision of the Obama administration Tuesday to continue trying to force the Bible publisher to act contrary to its religious beliefs in Tyndale House Publishers v. Sebelius:

He said: ‘Bible publishers should be free to do business according to the book that they publish. Regrettably, the administration does not want religious freedom to stand in the way of imposing ObamaCare. The district court rightly halted ObamaCare’s abortion pill mandate against Tyndale House, but the administration continues to argue that a Bible publisher isn’t religious enough to qualify as a religious employer. For the government to say that a Bible publisher isn’t religious is startling. We will continue to argue on appeal that the administration cannot disregard the Constitution’s protection of religious freedom to achieve certain political purposes.’”

“Every 94 seconds, Planned Parenthood cures a woman of the terrible disease of pregnancy

BY KRISTEN WALKER HATTEN
Fri Jan 11, 2013 14:28 EST

January 11, 2013 (LiveActionNews.org)—I’m so excited, you guys. Excited and inspired. You see, I just found out that in 2012, Planned Parenthood cured 333,000 women of a dangerous and terrible disease. I am speaking, of course, of pregnancy.

With only a meager $542.4 million in taxpayer money, the courageous and selfless public servants of Planned Parenthood were able to cure one woman every 94 seconds.

That’s right: in 2012, every 94 seconds, a woman was delivered from the grisly fate of pregnancy and childbirth.

You may not be familiar with the life-saving procedure called ‘abortion,’ but I spend a lot of time looking at pro-choice literature, so let me explain it to you based on what I’ve learned:

After celebrating a healing goddess circle at home with her priestess and best friends, a woman goes to Planned Parenthood, where she is escorted through a phalanx of shrieking, weapon-wielding, violent anti-choice fanatics and into an oasis of serenity and reason. In the Planned Parenthood reception area, the young woman is lovingly ensconced in a padded pink chair, given a cup of decaf herbal tea, and counseled extensively and truthfully on her various options by a licensed counselor.

(This is assuming, of course, that the reception area in which she sits is not destroyed by the bomb of a woman-hating, fetus-worshiping fanatic, which happens almost every day.)

Once she realizes that abortion is the only truly intelligent and empowering choice she can possibly make to rid herself of the unwanted alien parasite growing within her, the woman is able to speak at length with a grandfatherly physician who calls her by name and asks her probing personal questions in a sincere effort to understand her on a spiritual level.

(In the state of Texas, the woman is then strapped to a circa-19th-century dentist’s chair, has her eyes forced open like that scene in A Clockwork Orange, and has a sonogram image of the clump of cells invading her body shown to her on a 52-inch plasma-screen TV while a scary voice describes her fetus menacingly and repeatedly calls her a whore.)

Now it’s time for the abortion, where a gelatinous mass that does not yet even remotely resemble a human baby is lovingly removed from the woman’s uterus by the grandfatherly old physician while a caring nurse holds the woman’s hand and gazes into her eyes and reminds her that she is in no way responsible for the presence of the gelatinous mass and has no responsibility towards it.

The abortion does not hurt; in fact, it sort of tickles. When it’s over, there is a feeling of profound healing and spiritual enlightenment. The woman’s family is invited into the recovery room, where they all eat fresh fruit and recite Sylvia Plath poems.

Now, you may be one of the few people left in this country who have not broken free of centuries of patriarchal religious indoctrination. You might think it’s wrong for taxpayer money to pay for abortions. Well, first of all, you’re totally wrong. Second, Planned Parenthood doesn’t use any of your stupid taxpayer money for abortions. They have plenty of money! They have $1.2 billion in assets, so it doesn’t take a rocket surgeon to figure out they can use your money for the other stuff they do—like, um, I think maybe cancer … stuff? And … oh, condoms!—while using their own money to provide free, selfless, non-profit abortions to women in need.

For millennia, women who became pregnant had little choice besides suffering the horrible results of pregnancy: weight gain, nausea, finding baby clothes cute, the incomparable pain of labor and delivery, and ultimately the soul-crushing burden of motherhood.

Now, thanks to the kind—no, the angelic—people at Planned Parenthood, women can avoid all this, and, with one simple, totally risk-free, personally empowering, and spiritually enlightening procedure, be utterly free of the tumorous non-person they unwillingly incubate, and the dangerous, too-often fatal disease of pregnancy.

One every 94 seconds. As a country, we should be proud.”

OUCH!
