The 2010-2011 federal government’s fiscal year budget ends today, at midnight. What are the provisions of the 2011-2012 federal government’s fiscal year budget? NO ONE KNOWS!!! The Republican controlled House of Representatives passed a fiscal year 2011-2012 budget last spring. The Democratic controlled Senate rejected that proposed budget. The Democratic controlled Senate also rejected the proposed budget of the President. Incredibly, or not; the Democratic control Senate with today as the end of the fiscal year, HAS NOT PROPOSED ANY TYPE OF REPLACEMENT BUDGET OR ANY TYPE OF BUDGET!!! HOW FISCALLY IRRESPONSIBLE IS THE DEMOCRATIC CONTROLLED SENATE!!! Besides spending more and more money, WHAT HAS THE DEMOCRATIC CONTROLLED SENATE DONE THIS YEAR!!! THE NEXT ELECTION FOR 23 DEMOCRAT SENATORS IS 2012!!! WE NEED TO VOTE THESE IRRESPONSIBLE SENATORS OUT OF OFFICE!!!!!!!

The Raleigh News and Observer columnist Barry Saunders said that I am the spiritual heir of Jesse Helms.

The Winston-Salem Journal declared in a column, ‘Jesse Helms is back. This time he’s BLACK.’

Liberal Keith Olbermann declared me the 2nd worst person in the world.

But how can you be sure that I will stick to my guns, if elected?

During my eight years on the Winston-Salem City Council, I had a consistent track record of conservative leadership for limited government. I have fought big spending. I opposed every tax increase. I defended the local Boy Scouts from a few homosexual activists. I even voted against my largest donor and best friend because they both wanted corporate welfare. You know what I’ll do in Washington because I’ve already done it at home.

I am already under attack by the Far Left and their ‘useful idiots’ in the drive-by media. People for the American Way, a liberal activist organization, has already targeted my campaign.

Vernon Lucius Robinson is an American candidate for U.S. Congress and former Winston Salem City Council member. He is known for his controversial campaign ads during two unsuccessful Congressional campaigns, which were criticized as homophobic, racist, and libelous by left-leaning political gossip websites, such as Wonkette. In right-leaning publications, he has been defended as an outspoken, genuine and fair-minded conservative candidate. He has been described as a perennial candidate in the traditional print press and in Right Wing Watch, a blog associated with People for the American Way. (A leftist organization!—my addition)

Robinson’s numerous campaigns for office have included runs for North Carolina Superintendent of Public Instruction (1996), state Senate (1998), state House of Representatives (2002), U.S. Congress (2004, 5th District, NC), Chair of the NC Republican Party (2005), and U.S. Congress (2006, 13th District, NC). He served two terms on Winston-Salem’s City Council as one of only two Republicans. In 2005 he was defeated by Democrat Molly Leight, garnering 922 votes against her 1,665. Criticism mounting up to his loss included his 2004 placement of a 1-ton Ten Commandments and Bill of Rights monument at City Hall (which had to be removed [NOT according to the U.S. Constitution!—my addition]). Robinson congratulated his opponent and spoke of his service as a councilmember. ‘I’m proud that I was sort of a watchdog on the council,’ he said.

According to a November 1, 2005, Winston Salem Journal article, of the 15 public safety committee meetings held during the preceding 2 years, Robinson missed seven, even though he was the committee’s vice chair. During the same time period, Robinson also missed 20 of the 22 meetings of the public works committee, of which he was a member.

During the 1990s and 2000s, Robinson crusaded for school choice legislation as a measure to improve North Carolina public schools. As President of an education reform foundation, he authored articles on the topic, which were published in nonpartisan public policy digests.

Vernon Robinson was a candidate in the 2004 primary for the Republican nomination for North Carolina’s 5th congressional district. He placed first in the July 20 primary before losing a runoff in August; the seat was being vacated by Richard Burr.

During the campaign, the Winston-Salem Journal, in an editorial criticizing Robinson, declared: ‘Jesse Helms is back! And this time, he’s black.’ The Journal was attempting to chastise Robinson by comparing him to the very conservative ex-U.S. Senator, Jesse Helms. This editorial actually encouraged conservative support to rally around Robinson.

Moreover, Robinson’s campaign adopted the quote as a campaign slogan.

His 2004 campaign highlighted several issues, especially illegal immigration. In fact, his campaign really began a year earlier when he was the keynote speaker at an anti-illegal-alien rally in front of the Mexican consulate in Raleigh. His campaign, once underway, included one radio advertisement that was temporarily removed from radio stations due to concerns regarding Federal Election Commission and Federal Communications Commission regulations. The advertisement ended with a message in Spanish which translates to ‘Yo, gringo! This episode of ‘The Twilight Zone’ was paid for by Robinson for Congress.’ The radio station, WSJS, was concerned that the FEC and/or FCC might take issue with the non-English disclaimer, as the rest of the ad was in English. To avoid possibly being construed as biased, WSJS pulled all ads for the 5th District Primary.

After Robinson decided to change the disclaimer to be in English with the above text, WSJS restored the modified ad, and with it, all 5th District ads. The guideline with which WSJS was concerned required the organization paying for a political advertisement to be disclosed. In defending his ad, Robinson said, according to the Winston-Salem Journal, ‘I think there might be a debate about ‘paid for’ (being understood), but ‘Robinson for Congreso’ is clear.’

Robinson takes a socially conservative stance on a number of other issues. He campaigned at gun shows in the 5th District. Robinson frequently charged his primary opponents as being big tax-raisers and homosexual rights supporters. Jack Kemp initially endorsed Robinson, but withdrew his endorsement when Robinson supported strong enforcement of immigration laws.

In an eight-way primary for the Republican nomination, Robinson pulled 24% of the vote, finishing first and ahead of well-funded candidates but falling short of the 40% threshold required to avoid a runoff. Therefore, in August, Robinson faced off against second-place primary finisher Virginia Foxx, who also was a social conservative. He polled 45% against Foxx. Foxx went on to win the general election over Democrat Jim Harrell, Jr.. (She is still in Congress representing the 5th District—my addition.) early 2006, Robinson announced he would again seek to become a member of the Congressional delegation from North Carolina. He sought to run against Congressman Mel Watt in the heavily Democratic 12th Congressional District. Although he does not live in the 12th, his children go to school in the 12th’s portion of Winston-Salem.

On February 28, the last day to file for office in North Carolina, Robinson withdrew as a candidate in the 12 District and filed to run in the more competitive 13th District, against incumbent Congressman Brad Miller. The 13th doesn’t include any part of Winston-Salem; while members of the House are not required to live in the district they represent, it has become a strong convention that they do so. Robinson defended his candidacy in this district by saying he had several donors from the 13th in 2004 and that he was motivated by a desire to defeat Miller. Winning 63% of the vote, Robinson won a May 2 primary against two relatively unknown candidates.

Robinson’s campaign featured:

1) immigration issues, including a radio ad that features mariachi music

2) his opponent’s personal life

3) challenges to Miller’s priorities, accusing him of ‘deny[ing] our soldiers the body armor they need’ and ‘instead of spending money on sickle-cell research’, voting to spend ‘money to study the sex lives of Vietnamese prostitutes in San Francisco’; FactCheck ‘found the ad misleading on several counts.’ (Which were?—my addition)

4) a soundbite from Bill Cosby in an ad called a ‘lesson in tough love’ that ends with the assertion that ‘the biggest problem facing blacks today isn’t slavery or racism, it’s the destruction of the family; the answer isn’t racial quotas or a government handout, it’s personal responsibility’ (Very TRUE!!!—my addition)

In August 2011, Vernon Robinson launched a new official campaign website, announcing his candidacy for the 8th Congressional district in North Carolina. He summarized his positions on the issues on his new site and stated, ‘I believe there is no more pressing issue regarding national survival than the issue of our exploding national debt. We cannot allow the Obama Administration and Washington insiders to spend money that we do not have with an IOU drawn off the backs of our grandchildren. “national debt & deficit SPENDING:

I believe there is no more pressing issue regarding national survival than the issue of our exploding national debt. We cannot allow the Obama Administration and Washington insiders to spend money that we do not have with an IOU drawn off the backs of our grandchildren. This is fiscal child abuse and changes our country’s motto from ‘Home of the Brave’ to ‘No Child Left a Dime.’ It is unconscionable that our Congress continues to borrow 41 cents of every dollar it spends. Our country is broke. Only by limiting spending to the enumerated powers of the Congress in the Constitution will we resolve this spending crisis. You need a Congressman who will vote against unbalanced budgets, tax increases, and wasteful extravagances by Washington politicians and bureaucrats. I will not vote to increase the debt ceiling. taxes, growth, & Jobs:

I believe that taxes are too high and need to be reduced. High tax rates stifle growth, job creation, and entrepreneurial activity. Excessive Federal regulation decreases the ability of American companies to compete on the international stage. As an elected official, I never voted for a tax increase, and never will. I have always fought against oppressive governmental regulation of the private sector. I believe big government is a threat to personal freedom, so I will always support lowering tax rates on individuals and corporations and reducing unnecessary regulatory burdens. The Communist Chinese government taxes corporations at a lower level than does the Obama administration (25% vs. 35%). We must shrink the government to grow the economy. I oppose Obama’s ‘spread the wealth’ ideology and believe that the way to stimulate economic growth is to enhance the liberty of American taxpayers.

Energy policy:

I believe that we must pursue a policy of cheap and abundant energy, which drives the engine of our economy. America has abundant natural resources which the Obama administration, in order to placate special interest groups, has put under lock and key. If a foreign power imposed the Obama energy policy on the United States, we could consider it an act of war. I support removing the restrictions on Gulf oil and gas production, opening up new opportunities of fossil fuel production, and streamlining the permitting process for small and modular nuclear reactors. I will work to remove barriers to other energy sources without Federal subsidies. These measures will not only lower our energy prices but will also create over a million highly-paid new jobs.

Healthcare:

I believe that markets are the most efficient and effective way to decrease costs and increase quality in our healthcare system. I will work from Day One to repeal and defund Obamacare.

second AMENDMENT RIGHTS:

I believe in the Constitutional authority of the Second Amendment that clearly and explicitly protects the rights of Americans to own, carry, and use firearms. Any governmental action to suppress the right of Americans to bear arms is an affront to the original intent of the Founding Fathers. As your Congressman, I will oppose any and all attempts to infringe on your Second Amendment rights because these rights protect us against tyranny.

ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION:

I believe that our country’s porous borders and lax enforcement of immigration laws imperil our national security. Our insufficient border control provides a frightening opportunity for terrorists to do incalculable damage to our country. I will work to secure the borders, make English the official language of the United States, use e-verify to deny employment to illegal aliens, block illegals from attending public colleges and universities, deny Federal funds to sanctuary cities and institutions, oppose amnesty, and end birthright citizenship for illegal aliens.

life & Marriage:

I believe in the sanctity of innocent human life. I am convinced that life begins at conception and that it is the duty of the state to preserve and protect life. I oppose any and all efforts for the taxpayers to be forced to fund abortions. I will oppose the new Obama administration regulations that compel health care providers to act contrary to their conscience. In addition, I strongly support a Constitutional amendment defining marriage as between one man and one woman.

national defense:

I believe in peace through strength. As a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, I am strongly committed to Ronald Reagan’s dictum that no nation was ever attacked for being too strong. General Douglas MacArthur famously said, ‘There is no substitute for victory.’ Barack Hussein Obama steadfastly refuses even to use the word ‘victory.’ As your Congressman, I will insist that if the services of our brave young men and women are needed overseas to defend American interests, that Congress declares war, that the mission will be defined, that our aim will be victory, and that the troops’ return will be as quick as possible. To that end, we need to bring the troops home and defend the borders of the United States.

RACIAL QUOTAS:

I believe in the first principle from our nation’s Declaration of Independence: ‘All men are created equal.’ Therefore, I will oppose racial preferences and set-asides in education, employment, and contracts. As a City Councilman, I voted to pursue a color-blind system for contract bid applications. I was also successful in litigating against the University of North Carolina system to eliminate black-only scholarships at public universities. I believe America is a land of opportunity for all people and that racial preferences only hold us back.

I believe in using the provisions of Article III, Section 2 of the Constitution to rein in the out-of-control men and women in black robes who populate the federal judiciary. I will work to limit the jurisdiction of the federal courts from hearing cases and controversies pertaining to certain issues like birthright citizenship and prayer in schools. I support impeaching judges for usurpation and legislating from the bench.

Last December Kissell bowed to pressure from radical homosexual groups and voted to repeal ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ (DADT) to clear the way for confessed, practicing homosexuals to serve openly in foxholes, on submarines, and elsewhere in our American military.

President Obama signed that legislation into law and September 20, 2011 was the last day of the military’s centuries-old policy prohibiting service by homosexuals. Robinson, a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and former Combat Missile Crew Commander, said: ‘Larry graduated from high school at the height of the Vietnam war. Had he served his country in uniform, he would understand that deviant lifestyle choices are incompatible with military service.’

Earlier this year, Kissell used taxpayer money to hire a nationally prominent homosexual activist who describes himself as a ‘progressive … social justice activist & political operative.’

GM, China, and the Volt—What’s the Volt?


The 2010-2011 federal government’s fiscal year budget ends Friday, September 30th, at midnight. What are the provisions of the 2011-2012 federal government’s fiscal year budget? NO ONE KNOWS!!! The Republican controlled House of Representatives passed a fiscal year 2011-2012 budget last spring. The Democratic controlled Senate rejected that proposed budget. The Democratic controlled Senate also rejected the proposed budget of the President. Incredibly, or not; the Democratic control Senate with less than a week before the new fiscal year, HAS NOT PROPOSED ANY TYPE OF REPLACEMENT BUDGET OR ANY TYPE OF BUDGET!!! “Taxpayer Funding of Chevy Volt to Create Jobs—In China

It seems the promise of job creation for taxpayer funded green initiatives, such as the Chevy Volt development, is partially being kept. The only problem is that many of those jobs are going to China. General Motors confirmed last week that it would develop an electric vehicle platform in China. “USA Today” reports that GM Vice Chairman, Steve Girsky, stated that GM and Chinese auto company, SAIC, will develop a new electric vehicle that would draw upon the Chevy Volt’s technology (Remember, not only is the federal government a stock holder in GM, so is CHINA!!!—my addition). Girsky also hinted that future Chevy Volts will be built in China in order to qualify for Chinese subsidies of about $19,000 per car. Girsky claims that neither China nor SAIC are demanding that GM share Volt technology. Whether they are demanding it or not, it is obvious that they will get it. (They WILL get it! The only question is, how valuable is it?—my addition)

GM may try to skew media reports to downplay the fact that China will now have access to the Volt’s technology; a technology that was developed with taxpayers’ money (What‘s new?—my addition). SAIC taking over development of GM’s electric vehicle platform means that the taxpayer money spent on the promise of a bright green future with loads of American jobs created is now going to benefit China. The Chinese government is even more embedded in their auto industry than the current American administration is in theirs.

The USA Today piece also states that ‘GM plans to start exporting Michigan-made Volts to China by year’s end, but isn’t likely to sell many.’ I would say ‘isn’t likely to sell many’ might be an understatement, given the fact that the Chinese-sold Volts will not have any subsidies available until the car is built in China. The Volt is a vehicle that does not yet offer enough value to consumers to be able to stand on its own without taxpayer subsidies. I don’t expect that the Chinese masses will flock to the vehicle at non-subsidized prices.

As in America, while most common folk in China will not be able to afford a new Volt, Obama cronies at GE have agreed to purchase the vehicles. AP reports that GE is partnering with GM to build EV charging stations in China and as part of the deal they will buy Volts for their Shangai corporate campus. GE has already agreed to purchase thousands of Volts in America, they now are poised to be the largest purchaser of the cars (although US government may be competing) in both America and China. In a nutshell, taxpayers fund GM and GE for electric vehicle development, GM sells Volts to GE, GE makes money building charging stations for Volts, GM moves EV development to China. What a racket! (Indeed, it is a RACKET!!! When you read about the sales figures for GM, remember this: The federal government, which is a part owner of GM and the largest employer in the U.S., by far, is purchasing GM cars to increase sales. The Chinese government, which is a part owner of GM, is purchasing GM cars to increase sales. The Chinese government, which is a part owner of GM, is encouraging the Chinese people to purchase GM cars to increase sales. GE, which is doing work for GM, is purchasing GM cars to increase sales so that the company can continue to produce more work for GM. WHAT A RACKET!!!—my addition)

Perhaps a Chinese developed next-generation electric vehicle will be more efficient to build than the current Volt version. It would be nice to see an electric car platform that can eventually succeed without taxpayer subsidies and crony capitalism, although it would have been nicer to see the technology developed in the US as opposed to overseas.

Taxpayers have spent billions of dollars developing green technologies like those used in the Chevy Volt. It is a shame that the ‘investment’ isn’t reaping the American green jobs rewards promised by the Obama Administration.

Debates, the Republican Presidential Candidates, and the 2012 Presidential Election

I have NEVER watched a Presidential debate. I have NEVER heard a Presidential debate. I have NEVER watched a political debate of any kind. First, they are not really debates! More importantly, please someone, show me anything that proves a high positive correlation between being able to debate well and being able to operate and run any level of an executive office. It won’t happen because there is NO SUCH study. Want proof? Who was said to have won the Presidential “debates” between Barack Hussein Obama and John McCain? How well did that work out?!!!

Most people—and no one with any political savvy—do not vote for a candidate on the basis of his ability in a debate. The examples given in recent history are no more than mass media propaganda. There is NO empirical evidence that any debate ever changed the outcome of an election!

Based upon the above, I am reposting a post that I originally posted on Wednesday, September 14, 2011. I have added a few additional comments.

The Republican candidates and my position on their candidacy:

1) Mitt Romney:

I said from the beginning that I would NOT support anyone who ran in 2008. Therefore, Mitt Romney has been rejected from the beginning. However, even if he had not run in 2008, I would reject him out of hand. Mitt Romney is the John McCain of the 2012 election. He is the darling of the mass media unless he actually wins the Republican nomination. If he does, the mass media will immediately turn on him as they did John McCain. Barack Hussein Obama was the creation of the mass media. The mass media is NOT going to abandon him for ANY Republican! He is a RINO who supports the nonsense of man made global warming and gave Massachusetts an early example of Obamacare. He was in favor of MURDERING unborn babies until he was against it. I’m glad he has switched positions but there are a number of good candidates who can actually defeat President Obama who have consistently been opposed to the MURDER of unborn babies. His political claim to fame is as governor of Massachusetts—one of the most blue, most liberal States in the nation. Do you really believe he is a conservative? I DO NOT!!!

2) Herman Cain:

I like many of the ideas of Herman Cain. However, he has too many negatives to really be considered a serious candidate for the nomination. One is he has NO political experience. I don’t buy that a non-politician can actually govern a nation—particularly the United States at this time in history. What State is he from? I had to look it up. Did you?

I’m sorry, but I’ve been both an elected official and a businessman. A government simply does not operate like a business and can not be operated as a business. I looked it up, every President in our history has either been a government official and/or a high ranking military officer. Being a military officer is much closer to running a government than being a businessman who runs a business.

Being a CEO, you speak and people do as you bid or they are history. Almost the exact opposite is true in government. The President speaks and everyone around him knows that he will be history in eight years or less!

My addition today:

Herman Cain won the Florida straw poll Saturday. So what? Did he win any delegates to the Republican National Convention? Not a one? How many people voted? 2,657 delegate votes! Tell me that is representative of all the Republican voters in Florida! Last month, Michelle Bachmann won the Iowa straw poll. (Was it last month? I lose track of time.) She was suppose to be the Tea Party favorite, then. So what? Did she win any delegates to the Republican National Convention? Not a one? Where was she in the Florida straw poll?

Herman Cain is from Georgia. Which State is next to Florida? Georgia! Michelle Bachmann is from Minnesota. Which State is next to Iowa? Minnesota! What other Republican Presidential candidate, who was also from Minnesota, dropped out after losing to Michelle Bachmann in Iowa? Did he drop out because he knew that if he couldn’t win in Iowa he wasn’t going to win the nomination? Here is a political fact of life, there is probably a higher correlation to these two straw poll victories based upon the State of the candidate than any other single correlation. It’s regional politics.

When the actual primary occurs will Herman Cain still even be in the race? I don’t know. But if he is not and both Perry and Romney are still in the race, I would expect the vast majority of Herman Cain supporters to vote for Perry.

Don’t listen to the nonsense sprouted by the mass media. There goal is to knock off ALL Republican candidates by attacking the front runner until someone else becomes the front runner and they get a RINO nominated. If a RINO is nominated, the NATION LOSES!

3) Ron Paul:

Ron Paul is first and foremost a libertarian. A true libertarian does not oppose the MURDER of unborn babies—they agree with the left that it is a personal choice. NONSENSE!!! No one has the “right” to MURDER an unborn baby. He claims to oppose said MURDERS. However, once elected would he slip into his libertarian frame of mind. I’m not willing to take that chance. His position on the military is also unacceptable. And he wants to be our Commander in Chief? Monday night, he blamed the United States for 9/11 and was roundly booed. As he should have been. And he wants to be Commander in Chief? This is his last hurrah and it’s a good thing!

4) Jon Huntsman, Jr.:

Is similar to Mitt Romney without the power to raise money that Romney has. He supports the concept of man made global warming which is nonsense and actually believes the “slim to man” propaganda which has absolutely no REAL scientific basis. Fortunately, a majority of Americans know “slim to man” is a fraud even after being taught such lies in school. He also supports and therefore promotes homosexual behavior. If nominated, he won’t get my vote. Can you say John McCain in miniature?

5) Newt Gingrich:

I’ve said it before; I’ll say it again. Some good ideas but he will never get my vote. He TWICE broke his marriage vows. Enough said!

6) Michelle Bachmann:

Michelle Bachmann was on my list of the top three and even closer on my list for Vice President. NO more!!! Rick Perry admitted he made a mistake with the executive order for the cancer drug. Get over it Michelle. Unless you are perfect yourself! Are you? She’s history as far as I’m concerned. She’s off my V.P. list as well.

She has other problems: Little experience as a 3rd term member of the House of Representatives and has not demonstrated an ability to carry an entire State. Could she even carry the bluish State of Minnesota? Minnesota sends Keith Ellison to Congress! More importantly, will her name on the ballot help other Republicans to win? I have my doubts.

I have not decided who I will support yet. However, at the present time given the announced candidates, my choice is down to two. I’m discussing the two according to the alphabet not necessarily according to the level of support for each.

7) Rick Perry:

Love him or hate him, Rick Perry wins elections and raises a ton of money. He has won as a Democrat and as a Republican. I don’t fault him for being a Democrat, so was I. I don’t agree with all he has done but he is conservative enough. And he is conservative enough to win! Also, I think he will help other conservatives on the ballot throughout the nation. And quite frankly, we need to win in Texas and carry the South. What a powerful ticket a Rick Perry/Marco Rubio candidacy would be!!! Or, a Rick Perry/Allen West ticket would be!!!

My addition today:

Tea Partiers! I don’t agree with his position on allowing the children of illegal immigrants to attend Texas Universities based upon in-State tuition fees either. However, it was the decision of the legislature of the State of Texas. I thought we supported State’s rights over federal government interference. I didn’t hear anything about Rick Perry saying the practice should be done nationally. If he did, I’d have a problem. Since it was a State decision, what’s the problem?

Who cares if he said you don’t have a heart if you don’t agree with the policy? It’s his opinion on that one issue. GROW-UP!!! This is politics not high school drama time, “I got my feelings hurt!”

8) Rick Santorum:

Rick Santorum is also a winner and a proven conservative. When the dust has settled, he just might “sneak” in as the nominee. He was first elected to the House of Representatives in a heavily Democratic District defeating an incumbent. Not an easy task. He again defeated a Democratic incumbent in his first run for the Senate in Pennsylvania. After a second term, he was defeated in his bid for a third term in 2006 when a number of Republican Senators lost and the Democrats regained control of the Senate. Including the two Independents who caucus with the Democrats, there are 23 Democratic Senate seats up for reelection in 2012. Thus, Rick Santorum was not the only Republican Senator to lose and he lost in a State that tends to vote Democratic.

If, as the Republican Presidential candidate, he can carry Pennsylvania, which I think he can, he would receive 21 electoral votes—the 5th largest total and now one more than Illinois since Illinois lost a Representative. He also should have an impact for conservatives in the region. A Santorum/Rubio ticket or a Santorum/West ticket may have an even greater impact nationwide than one with Rick Perry as the Presidential candidate since Perry is from the South as well as Rubio and West.

These are my general guidelines for who to support for the Presidential nomination:

1) Conservative—both on fiscal issues and more importantly on social, moral, value issues

2) Have won office Statewide with a proven, consistent conservative record

3) Someone who will appoint strict constructionists to all court positions

4) Preferably from a large Electoral College State

5) Someone who will have large coattails bringing in additional conservatives to both the House and the Senate

6) Someone who is ethical and has integrity

7) Someone who will win!!!

Last week I purchased a burger at Burger King for $1.58. The counter girl took my $2.00, and I was digging for my change when I pulled 8 cents from my pocket and gave it to her.

She stood there, holding the nickel and 3 pennies, while looking at the screen on her register. I sensed her discomfort and tried to tell her to just give me two quarters, but she hailed the manager for help. Why do I tell you this?

Because of the evolution in teaching math since the 1950s:

1. Teaching Math In 1950s

A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is 4/5 of the price. What is his profit? (What is profit? Isn‘t that when greedy businessmen steal the wealth of workers???—my addition)

2. Teaching Math In 1960s

A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is 4/5 of the price, or $80. What is his profit?

3. Teaching Math In 1970s

A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is $80. Did he make a profit?

4. Teaching Math In 1980s

A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is $80 and his profit is $20. Your assignment: Underline the number 20.

5. Teaching Math In 1990s

A logger cuts down a beautiful forest because he is selfish and inconsiderate and cares nothing for the habitat of animals or the preservation of our woodlands. He does this so he can make a profit of $20. What do you think of this way of making a living? Topic for class participation after answering the question: How did the birds and squirrels feel as the logger cut down their homes? (There are no wrong answers, and if you feel like crying, it’s ok.)

6. Teaching Math In 2000s

(This is a true story: I took a summer government class at a junior college located in Tucson. It wasn’t identified as such but it was actually designed to meet the State requirement of passing the Constitution for college students who were to become teachers. Most of the students were from the University of Arizona taking it at the junior college because it was easier than at the UofA.

The instructor said he was a retired professor who had taught at the UofA for a number of years. He also said that he had only flunked one student in all his teaching years at the University. Each test had a take-home essay question worth 20 points out of 100 points for the test.

The day after our tests were returned, a woman who sat next to me asked me to read her essay. The question was to explain the concept of judicial review. I read her answer, looked at her, and said: “You don’t have a clue about what judicial review is, do you?”

Her one word response was “No.” Her score for her answer to the essay question: all 20 points!!! American education at its finest!!!—my addition)

“They say that in life two things are unavoidable, death and taxes. The federal government doesn’t care that an estate has already paid an unconscionable amount of taxes, when you die liberals believe that is one last opportunity to steal the wealth that you have earned throughout your life. Small business owners across the country have worked themselves to the bone in the hopes that they will be able to provide their children and grandchildren with more opportunity then they were blessed to have. The government has other ideas however, believing that upon the death of an American citizen the inept federal bureaucracy is entitled to more than half of everything that they failed to steal during life! Repeal The Death Tax
2,054 Letters and Emails Sent So Far

America’s family businesses and farmers were hit by a large estate tax increase, from 0% to 35%, at the beginning of 2011, making planning and passing on farms and businesses to the next generation even more difficult. As it stands, more than 70% of family businesses do not survive to the second generation, and a full 90% of family businesses do not survive to the third. In 2011, the political landscape has changed but family businesses are still struggling, family farms are liquidating, and even more jobs are at stake.

You can help extend relief to family businesses and farms by cosponsoring the bi-partisan Rep. Brady/Ross bill, H.R. 1259 ‘Death Tax Repeal Permanency Act of 2011’ to permanently eliminate the burdensome estate tax. In this poor economic climate, where small businesses have borne the brunt of job losses, permanent death tax repeal provides an immediate means to turn the tide on this problem and begin adding jobs back to the most productive sector of our economy. The death tax accounts for less than 1% of federal revenues and is an unnecessary drain on America’s job creators.

Please cosponsor H.R. 1259 ‘Death Tax Repeal Permanency Act of 2011’ and vote in favor of death tax repeal for the following reasons:

Repealing the death tax would spur job creation. According to a recent study by Douglas Holtz-Eakin, Ph.D, former Director of the Congressional Budget Office, repealing the death tax would create 1.5 million additional small business jobs. It would shave almost a percentage point off the unemployment rate.

The death tax contributes a very small portion of federal revenues. According to the Office of Management and Budget, the death tax only collected 6/10 of one percent of all federal tax revenues in FY 2009. There is a good argument, in fact, that not collecting the death tax would lead to higher economic growth and thereby increased federal revenue from other taxes. Former undersecretary of the Treasury, Steve Entin, found that H.R. 1259 would increase tax revenues by nearly $89 billion over 10 years using a ‘dynamic’ economic analysis.

As a proud member of the Tea Party movement and www.TheTeaParty.net I join with more than 50 other conservative organizations in strong support of HR 1259 the permanent repeal of the ‘Death Tax.’ I demand that you support repeal of this strongly regressive tax that hurts hardworking American families!

The death tax falls particularly hard on minorities. African-Americans have just in the last generation started accumulating generational capital, but the death tax threatens to confiscate it. Death tax liabilities bankrupted the Chicago Daily Defender—the oldest black-owned daily newspaper in the United States and will reduce net African-American wealth by 13%, according to a study conducted by Boston College professors John Haven and Paul Schervish. According to a 2004 Impacto Group poll, 50% of Hispanic business owners know someone who sold their business to pay the estate tax and a quarter expect to sell their business because of the estate tax.

The death tax promotes the concentration of wealth. Joseph Stiglitz, one of President Clinton’s economic advisors, has argued that the estate tax ‘may actually increase inequality.’ This argument is backed up by economist Antony Davies, Ph.D, who found that the average annual increase in the death tax burden has resulted in an additional 6,000 small businesses being eliminated or absorbed into large conglomerates.

Poll after poll has indicated that a super-majority of likely voters support repealing the death tax. Typically, two thirds of likely voters support full and permanent repeal of the death tax. People instinctively feel that the death tax is not fair.

The death tax is unfair. It makes no sense to require grieving families to pay a confiscatory tax on their loved one’s nest egg. Often, this tax is paid by selling family assets like farms and businesses. Other times, employees of the family business must be laid off and payrolls slashed. No one should be punished for fulfilling the American dream.

In 2011 when Michele Bachmann appeared on ABC in late June, George Stephanopoulos painted Michele Bachmann as a flakey liar, challenging her with, ‘The Pulitzer Prize-winning Web site, PolitiFact, has said you have the worst record of making false statements of any of the leading contenders.’

This is just one of the example of ‘hardball’ versus ‘softball’ questions the leftist-controlled media employ when interviewing liberal versus conservative political candidates. This one example was part of a pattern of harshly questioning conservatives five times more than liberals.

So far, the networks have offered mainly adversarial and confrontational liberal questions to this year’s Republican candidates, while the Democrats who appeared on these same programs four years ago were treated to much friendlier, ideologically non-challenging questions.

For most Americans, the 2012 presidential campaign will be experienced on television, and voters will judge the candidates based on their performances at televised debates, daily news coverage, and long-form interviews.

Surprisingly, the most highly-rated regular forums for candidate interviews are still the broadcast network morning news programs (ABC’s Good Morning America, NBC’s Today, and CBS’s Early Show).

Not surprisingly, there is a stark contrast of fairness in how conservative and liberal political candidates are handled on these programs.

In our exclusive special report, the Media Research Center analyzed all 53 weekday morning show interviews with either potential or declared Republican candidates from January 1 through September 15, and compared the results with our study of the same programs’ treatment of the Democratic candidates during the same time period from four years ago.

The results show a clear double-standard:

1) By a 5-to-1 margin, ABC, CBS and NBC morning show hosts employed an adversarial liberal agenda when questioning this year’s Republican candidates.

“The Obama Investigations

You wouldn’t know it if you solely paid attention to the mainstream media, but while President Barack Obama attempts to sell the country on hundreds of billions in new stimulus spending and $1.5 trillion in new taxes, his Administration is smack in the middle of several growing scandals: the Operation Fast and Furious gun-running debacle and the crony capitalism wrongdoing involving Solyndra and LightSquared.

In the fall of 2009, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), which is overseen by President Obama’s Department of Justice, launched an effort to sell weapons to small-time gun buyers in the hopes of tracing them to major weapons traffickers along the southwestern border and into Mexico. Their effort, which is known as Operation Fast and Furious, failed terribly.

Around 1,500 of the guns went unaccounted for, about two-thirds of those guns ended up in Mexico, a border patrol agent was shot and killed with weapons that were sold as part of the operation, 57 Fast and Furious weapons have been connected to at least 11 violent crimes in the U.S., and in Mexico an unconfirmed toll of at least 200 people have been killed or wounded with other weapons linked to the botched effort.

Save for recent reports from CBS News and the ‘Los Angeles Times,’ and earlier reporting by ABC News, the mainstream media has largely ignored the story and the White House press corps has not bothered to ask the President or press secretary Jay Carney about the scandal since July 5—that’s 78 days, and over 40 press briefings, without one single related question.

Meanwhile, congressional hearings were held, top officials associated with the operation were removed from their positions, and a third individual resigned. In the latest news, Mexican officials are complaining that, to this day, the United States has not offered an explanation about Fast and Furious, much less an apology. And yesterday, CBS News reported that a series of secretly recorded audio tapes thought to have been recorded in March reveal that an Arizona gun dealer and an ATF agent involved in the operation were worried about the unraveling scandal.

Turning from guns to butter, another scandal has cropped up, this one involving the solar panel manufacturing company Solyndra, which received a $535 million loan guarantee from the Energy Department as part of President Obama’s green jobs spending spree. The President lauded the company when he spoke at the unveiling of its new factory in May of last year. But now, little more than a year later, it stands bankrupt and plans to lay off more than 1,000 employees. Days after it filed for bankruptcy, the FBI raided the company’s offices and the homes of its executives.

The Obama Administration had a lot riding on Solyndra and the promise it offered. The President had made ‘green’ energy a centerpiece of his failed plan to boost job growth in the United States, likening his effort to America’s ‘moonshot’—the space race following the Soviet Union’s launch of Sputnik. The import of the company’s bankruptcy was evident in a January 31 e-mail between Office of Management and Budget staff regarding ‘Solyndra optics.’ In the e-mail, the staff discussed what it would look like if the company went belly-up down the road, its implications for the 2012 elections, and how an earlier default might give the Obama Administration some credit for ‘fiscal discipline.’

Then there’s the story of LightSquared, a wireless start-up company backed by billionaire Democratic donor Philip Falcone. ‘The Daily Beast’ reports that military officials fear that the company’s technology could interfere with GPS signals—and that ‘two U.S. officials allege the White House tried to influence their [congressional] testimony to rush key testing, to LightSquare’s benefit.’

Enter the investigations. Representative Darrell Issa (R-CA), chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, said Tuesday that his committee plans to investigate government loans to private companies made by the Obama Administration, according to ‘The Hill.’ ‘I want to see when the president and his cronies are picking winners and losers,’ Issa said. Now, ‘Reuters’ reports that Solyndra’s chief executive and chief financial officer will invoke their Fifth Amendment rights and refuse to answer questions at the hearing on Friday.

A cross-border gun-running scandal, deaths in the United States and Mexico, staff removals and resignations, secret audio recordings, complaints from foreign officials, hundreds of millions of dollars in loans, bankruptcy, an FBI raid, campaign donors, and allegations of inappropriate White House influence in congressional testimony. There are serious questions coming out of Washington. It’s time the media start demanding answers.

Investigate Solyndra

“Dear Patriot,

Solyndra received $535 million dollars from the federal government despite evidence that their business model was fiscally insolvent as part of President Obama’s green jobs initiative. Now they have laid off their employees and closed their doors. Something clearly stinks, but the media has no interest in damaging Obama’s re-election chances by doing a full investigation. ‘Fight market dictatorship’

‘People of the world rise up!’

‘We are legion.’

‘Take to the streets.’

These and other battle cries were posted on the recent Twitter feed of a group calling itself Take The Square. The organization is one of the social media planners behind the ‘Day of Rage’ protest slated to target Wall Street on Saturday.

WND previously reported how the U.S. section of the protest, complete with a planned tent city in downtown Manhattan, is closely tied to the founders of ACORN and leaders of major U.S. unions, including the Service Employees International Union, or SEIU.

While protest leaders claim they are non-violent, there are indications the protesters are training to incite violence, resist arrest and disrupt the legal system.

The protest aims to take root nationwide.

Activists are advertising on social network sites such as Facebook and Twitter for a ‘Day of Rage’ on Sept. 17 (Which is also Constitution Day—my addition) to begin with the ‘occupation’ of Wall Street and continue with protests across the nation.

Planners have their own website—USDayofRage.org—which tells protesters to ‘bring your own tent.’

The website is not specific about the purpose of the ‘Day of Rage’ other than calling for ‘integrity’ to be ‘restored to our elections.’ (Restoring integrity in elections would destroy the left!!!—my addition)

The site accuses corporations of using ‘money to act as the voices of millions, while individual citizens, the legitimate voters, are silenced and demoralized by the farce.’ (Who spent more money in the last Presidential election? President Obama? Or, John McCain? What a joke these people are as far as the truth is concerned!—my addition)

Advertisements claim the protests at Wall Street and nationwide will be ‘non-violent.’

However, the official website provides resources, including videos and detailed written instructions, for protesters to engage in ‘civil disobedience.’

The resources provided include instructions on how to resist police arrest and disrupt court hearings.

This week, the ‘Day of Rage’ twitter feed posted links to what it called ‘nonviolent civil disobedience training talks.’

Similar instructions are provided on the website of an affiliated organization, which calls itself ‘Occupy Wall Street’ and is also involved in planning the Sept. 17 protests.

The use of the term ‘Day of Rage’ recalls the ‘Days of Rage’ organized in the 1960s by the Weather Underground domestic terrorist organization co-founded by Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, close associates for years of President Obama.

Numerous radicals, many with direct ties to Obama, are linked to planned protests and other activism scheduled for the coming months.

In March, ACORN founder Wade Rathke announced what he called ‘days of rage in 10 cities around JP Morgan Chase.’ Rathke was president of an SEIU local in New Orleans.

The planned Sept. 17 protest appears to be the culmination of Rathke’s efforts.

Those efforts are being organized by Stephen Lerner, an SEIU board member who reportedly visited the Obama White House at least four times.

Lerner is considered one of the most capable organizers of the radical left. He recently organized the SEIU’s so-called Justice for Janitors campaign.

As part of his planned protests, Lerner called for ‘a week of civil disobedience, direct action all over the city.’

His stated aim is to ‘destabilize the folks that are in power and start to rebuild a movement.’

In an interview about the planned protests, Lerner outlined his goals: ‘How do we bring down the stock market? How do we bring down their bonuses? How do we interfere with their ability to, to be rich?’

Forecast for American cities: Confrontation, intimidation?

There are other indications a coalition of radicals and unions are planning chaos using the current economic crisis.

Last month, WND reported that a slew of extremist organizations, some tied to Obama, are preparing protests to coincide with major NATO and G-8 summits in Chicago next May.

Foreshadowing possible violent confrontations, some of the same radical trainers behind the infamous 1999 Seattle riots against the World Trade Organization have been mobilizing new protest efforts geared toward world summits as well as the current economic crisis.

Some of the activists are tied to Obama.

The NATO and G-8 summits are not the only focus of radical groups.

WND reported Heather Booth, director of a Saul Alinsky-style community organizing group, the Midwest Academy, was among the main speakers at the ‘2011 State Battles Summit’ in June at the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Booth’s husband, Paul, also was a speaker at the union summit. Paul Booth co-founded Midwest Academy in the 1970s.

The four-day summit was organized by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, or AFSCME, with participation from the AFL-CIO, the nation’s largest union.

An official schedule for the event, obtained by WND, declared: ‘Our union is under unprecedented attack in every state. Extremist politicians want to weaken us as we head into 2012. Their tactics include budget cuts, layoffs, privatization and the denial of our very collective bargaining rights.’

Continued the flyer: ‘New challenges require new energy and new thinking. We encourage union activists to attend this conference and bring their creative ideas on how to overcome the challenges ahead.’

Heather Booth participated in a panel entitled ‘Our Message, Alliances and Best Practices.’

Paul Booth delivered the opening remarks for the union conference.

Another speaker at the union event was John Podesta, who co-chaired President Obama’s transition team.

Podesta is president of the Center for American Progress, which is heavily influential in advising the White House. The center is funded by billionaire activist George Soros.

Mideast revolutions coming to U.S.?

Citizen Action of Wisconsin, an arm of Booth’s Midwest Academy, is part of the Moving Wisconsin Forward movement, one of the main organizers of the major Wisconsin protests in February, as WND was first to report.

The protests were in opposition to Gov. Scott Walker’s proposal for most state workers to pay 12 percent of their health care premiums and 5.8 percent of their salary toward their own pensions.

WND reported at the time that speakers at the rallies likened the Wisconsin protests to the ongoing revolutions in the Middle East and North Africa while calling for similar uprisings in the U.S.

‘Redistribution of wealth and power’

Obama himself once funded Midwest Academy. He has been closely tied to Heather Booth.

Booth has stated building a ‘progressive majority’ would help for ‘a fair distribution of wealth and power and opportunity.’ (As I’ve asked before, who defines “fair?”—my addition)

Her husband Paul is a founder and the former national secretary of Students for a Democratic Society, the radical 1960s anti-war movement from which Ayers’ Weather Underground splintered. (Because they weren’t radical enough?—my addition)

In 1999, the Booths’ Midwest Academy received $75,000 from the Woods Fund with Obama on its board alongside Ayers, In 2002, with Obama still serving on the Woods Fund, Midwest received another $23,500 for its Young Organizers Development Program.

Midwest describes itself as ‘one of the nation’s oldest and best-known schools for community organizations, citizen organizations and individuals committed to progressive social change.’ (As we all know, change that we can believe in?—my addition)

It later morphed into a national organizing institute for an emerging network of organizations known as Citizen Action.

Discover the Networks describes Midwest as ‘teach[ing] tactics of direct action, confrontation and intimidation.’

WND first reported the executive director of an activist organization that taught Alinsky’s tactics of direct action, confrontation and intimidation was part of the team that developed volunteers for President Obama’s 2008 campaign.

Jackie Kendall, executive director of the Midwest Academy, was on the team that developed and delivered the first Camp Obama training for volunteers aiding Obama’s campaign through the 2008 Iowa Caucuses.

Camp Obama was a two-to-four day intensive course run in conjunction with Obama’s campaign aimed at training volunteers to become activists to help Obama win the presidential election.

Also, in 1998, Obama participated on a panel discussion praising Alinsky alongside Heather Booth, herself a dedicated disciple of Alinsky.

The panel discussion following the opening performance in Chicago of the play ‘The Love Song of Saul Alinsky,’ a work described by the Chicago Sun-Times as ‘bringing to life one of America’s greatest community organizers.’

Obama participated in the discussion alongside other Alinskyites, including political analyst Aaron Freeman, Don Turner of the Chicago Federation of Labor and Northwestern University history professor Charles Paine.

‘Alinsky had so much fire burning within,’ stated local actor Gary Houston, who portrayed Alinsky in the play. ‘There was a lot of complexity to him. Yet he was a really cool character.’

Only about 300 protesters, mostly college kids and aging hippies, showed up near the Stock Exchange for yesterday’s anti-Wall Street rally—far fewer (What an understatement! 300 out of 20,000 is 1.5%!!!—my addition) than the 20,000 that organizers of the so-called global ‘Day of Rage’ had predicted.

Police barricades were put up to protect both the exchange and the iconic ‘Charging Bull’ statue on Broadway. The barriers hardly needed.

Police said two members of the anemic crowd—which carried signs declaring ‘Wall Street is our Street’—were arrested after they tried to enter a Bank of America office at Broadway and Liberty streets wearing masks.” (Really bright!!!—my addition)

Could “hope and change” Obama style be dying on the vine? Should they have scheduled this on a Saturday? Isn’t Saturday the day for these people to get high and boast of their great “intellectual” and “moral” superiority?
